The only thing that my husband and I thought should change is how one woman who checked me in and the same one who checked my husband out would just walk away without telling either of us what she was doing. It left me wondering what the heck was going on and my husband following her around the parking lot as she went to find out vehicle. Just a simple sentence of 'I am going to tag your vehicle or I'll be right back' like the other techs were saying would make it a much better experience.

I am very unsatisfied with the recent purchasing experience that I had. I was told that there was a new truck coming in that would fit what I wanted, what would work for my business, and that it would arrive on February 24. I told my sales rep that I wanted to wait to see the vehicle before I purchased it. He said that it would be here any day, but there was a hold up with the railroad. When the end of the month came, the vehicle was still not here and I was told if I wanted to get the price that we agreed upon, I would need to purchase it before month end. I was still being told that it would be here 'any day'. I decided to go ahead and purchase the vehicle expecting it to arrive within the week. After paying cash for the truck, I waited a couple days and called the dealer. They stated that they found the truck was still in Michigan and was now being held up for GMC to do a 'random inspection' which included pulling all of the vehicles off of the train to inspect them. I had already sold my current work truck which I use for snow removal. When I asked when my vehicle would arrive, I now got the answer that they don't know and it is out of their control. After paying for the vehicle, I stopped receiving the any day comment and was now just getting 'we don't know'. This is the answer I received until my truck finally showed up March 24, a MONTH later. During this time, not only did I not get a return on the $65,000 I paid in cash, but I also lost income during the 2 snowfall events that took place. Talking with my sales rep about the situation, I was told 'since you got such a good deal on the truck, there is no room for us to try to make things right'. This was just insulting to me as I know dealerships do not sell vehicles at a loss and was basically just being told Kolar would rather keep any profits they make on any vehicles over trying to keep a customer happy. I am only 30 years old and buy/lease a new GMC every other year. I'm surprised that a dealer would want to throw a relationship away with someone who is only 30 years old and still has another 30 plus years of purchasing vehicles. After this experience and how it was handled, I will not be going to Kolar for my next truck, will not be renewing my GMC lease I currently have on my wifes vehicle, and may not go back to a GM product at all. Not only did I have to wait until the end of March for a vehicle that should have been there a month before, which I was told would be here any day until I paid for it, but I also lost income to my business because of this situation.

The staff was very gracious about having such a long wait for an oil change and so courteous as well. However the customer service area should be redone as to not have to be by the sales men area.Too noisy and you can hear the talk about cars and trucks. They should look too the Kolar Toyota customer service area which is So much nicer and has a great atmosphere. The lady we dealt with was so nice and accommodating, that we sent her s thank you card for the long wait.Over the years we have purchased over 9 vehicles from them in Scanlon Mn and a new Rav 4 from their Toyota franchises. But it seems like they lost their records and that is too sad...their service department is great and very friendly.

Year in and year out this is the best dealership I have ever worked with. I send all my friends there. The last 4-5 years. I have worked with Jack Hunker. Although I have had great experiences previously with many of their other salespersons. I also feel the service work has been excellent also when needed.

One of the worst car dealerships and the worst for vehicle maintenance. Asked to speak to a sales rep because I wanted to buy a specific Chevy equinox on their website but apparently the one that I wanted was already sold. Why wasn t it removed from the website? The sales rep then tried to up sell me on the traverse which is something that I didn t want. Typical bait and switch. After all that, I wasn t going to write a review until getting back from their service center. I bought a Chevy equinox from another dealership but it was stuck on teen driver mode. I was crunched for time so my sales rep (in WI) told me to go to my nearest Chevy dealership (Hermantown, MN) and they would clear the computer for me, no problem. I was told when I got to Kolar that nobody at that time could help me and I should have set up an appointment with a technician. I know for a fact that all they would have to do is hook it up to a computer and reset back to factory. I never spoke to a manager, they just used an employee as middle mad. I m not usually one to write bad reviews but I think this place deserves one for terrible customer service.

After purchasing two vehicles from Kolar, one from Kolar Hyundai and one from a salesman at Kolar Chevrolet - and having vehicles serviced at Kolar Toyota- I have no trust for the company as a whole. One vehicle bought brand new, but when it needed repairs and was still under warranty I had to get a second opinion at another mechanic's shop and bring it back in because they weren't going to fix it and said it wasn't bad enough - even though I brought it in because I was having issues. I feel like they will smooth talk you. After buying a used vehicle in "as is" condition ( yes I do understand the realities of that) I had specifically asked about the condition of the brakes, and was told they were fine with 50% wear, only to have to put $600 into the brakes and calipers 3 days after I bought it because I had a smoking vehicle due to the heat of frozen calipers. The car was sold with only one key, and the salesman said they would reimburse our purchase of a 2nd key - but I could never get ahold of that salesman again and it took a lot of persistence to see that money, which was eventually made right.

Just bought a new car from Dave Spikers and we couldn't be happier. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the process seem effortless. We loved the dealership and it was comfortable for our two small children to hang out in while waiting...snacks, an ipad, tv, plus being around so many friendly people! Thank you Kolar!

I brought my car into have it checked over before I head south for winter and found out it would be a $3500 repair! I had an extended warranty and Kerry in service worked very hard to get the repair covered since it was a part to be covered..After 4 days of back and forth they approved the repair! Kerry went above and beyond for me so Thank you very much 10+ star for him and his team!
Thanks

I brought my 2015 Silverado in October 28th for transmission issues, and it was finally looked at on October 30th. Brent the service advisor called stating that they ordered a part to fix the truck and he'd call me when it's ready. He didn't tell me what was wrong, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. I had to ask!! He failed to tell me the part was on back order. The service was covered under warranty, I was denied a rental/loaner vehicle. I tried to share my complaints with the service manager but my calls went unanswered until I emailed the General Manager. I then contacted Customer Care who told me I was entitled to a rental which the dealer still failed to provide me. I finally got my truck back November 15, over 2 weeks. Brent has NO knowledge of vehicle mechanics, he stated he thought it would be a simple service, also his description of the part was a cover with bolts. OK..... Upon getting the vehicle back I found out they had to drop the transmission, replace gaskets, filter, fluids, and gears 1,2,3,4. Not so simple. Another service writer told me I probably didn't get the rental because I'm the 2nd owner. what part of that comment makes any sense?!?! I purchased the vehicle at Rice Lake Chevy with a warranty. The service manager, service writers at Kolar Chevy should Not be employed in the automotive industry. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE FOR SERVICE AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!!

Excellent service from start to finish. The salesman, Jeremy, made sure I received the vehicle I was looking for and not once was pushy on closing the deal or moving to other options. I would highly recommend Kolar.

We went on a family vacation from south of Minneapolis up to Lutsen. While there the breaks went out on my Tahoe. I called Kolar Chevrolet and they made room to get my vehicle in right away and get me into a rental so we could continue our family vacation. They called me with the diagnosis and updates, the repairs were done quickly. Craig was excellent to work with in the service department, with great communication and was very nice. If I lived in the area I d definitely go there again. Thanks Kolar and Craig!

Brought vehicle in for repairs. It was fixed. Some things were broken during the process, they repaired the next day at no cost. got the truck back with loose steering. Personal investigation found that my pitman arm was loose. Tightened it up and gave it the best alignment i could, things are all right. Rental process during service was questionable, was required to give them my credit card info, photocopy of drivers license and insurance info. Charged me for an extra rental and refunded me an incorrect amount of that rental. Bill was tallied up wrong to begin with. Not sure whats going on here. Slow down my mates.

Just picked up my vehicle from the service department. Craig the service advisor was very helpful in obtaining needed parts, some of which are difficult to obtain because of the strike at GM. Craig even came out to my vehicle after the service to assist me with the settings on the vehicle display. The service technician was very thorough in addressing my service needs.

Called the service department which was to return my call and didn't. Called the next day and spoke to someone who admitted they didn't know what they were doing. Had another woman call whose only suggestion was to spend money to tell me how much more I needed to spend. Told her she was wasting my time and in an exceptionally rude tone told I was wasting hers. I told her what she could do with her opinion. Can't say the service is bad because I really doubt they can provide any.
After this they post a WELL rehearsed comment about how some one named Kristin is willing to help (away from her desk, big surprise) and while they may not wish to hear shouting or profanity I'll bet they do a LOT.

I purchased my first brand-new 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 from Kolar in July of 2013. Their Service Advisors and Service Department are great to work with. I have had all of my service done at Kolar and couldn't be more pleased with how I have been treated. I would recommend purchasing a new or used vehicle from Kolar. They will definitely treat you right. The commercial says it all, "You're not just buying a car, you're buying Kolar!"

Terrible service dept, extremely rude and untraine...

Terrible service dept, extremely rude and untrained. Go anywhere except Kolar, 3 visits in, issues still unfixed. Only care about money even after concerns were raised directly with them. We bought a used Acadia from Kolar, on the first oil change found that they sold it to us with a twisted break line. Gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was accidentally missed. We liked our sales person, Brian, so when it came time for a different vehicle we went back. We decided to get a new car to help alleviate my husband (who is a certified mechanic) having to work on the vehicle all the time. We went back to Kolar, where we bought a new GMC Terrain, even against my husbands wishes of not owning anything GM. 2nd oil change, my husband found an oil leak that was leaking on the exhaust and a transmission leak. Brought it to Kolar, said they fixed it by replacing a part on the bottom of the oil pan (below the exhaust, oil doesn t leak up). They didn t, oil was still leaking on the exhaust, mind you we put our child in that vehicle and if the oil leak got bad enough it would be a fire hazard, not to mention oil leaks only get worse if uncorrected. We brought it back, they couldn t find the leak yet the car magically smelt like brake cleaner. We put it up on a hoist and saw the oil was still leaking along with transmission fluid. Brought it to a different certified GM Dealership shop, they verified everything my husband said but couldn t fix it because they couldn t claim it under warranty, Kolar claimed they repaired more than they did so they wouldn t get paid for the work. Bring it back to Kolar, 4th shop visit at this point. They STILL can t find the leak. Asked to have a different mechanic look at it. They said JB or JD was their lead mechanic and if he couldn t find it no one could. They said the service manager also inspected it and couldn t find it. Again, the car smelt like brake cleaner. My husband found the spot it was leaking towards the top of the engine with a scope. They offered to degrease the engine to see if the burning oil smell would go away. On a brand new car with less than 30k miles on it. Oh I forgot, we would have to pay over $100 to get it degreased. Throughout all of this, every interaction we had with Kyle was painful. He was extremely rude and belittling. At this point, if their top people are saying they can t find it even after two other mechanics had, they are either extremely untrained or deceitful. If that car had started on fire, who knows if we could have gotten our kid out of the car seat in time. Thank god I have a husband who knows vehicles and knows when to say it isn t safe. Think of someone who doesn t have that and took Kolar s word that nothing was wrong with it. After reading all the reviews, and how Kolar responds saying they want to know how they can improve yet similar complaints go back years. If they really wanted to improve, it should have been improved by now, especially when serious defects with these vehicles could kill someone. We decided to cancel the extended warranty at 30k miles, prior to it kicking in at 36k. Come to find out, we don t even get the entire amount that we paid for it. We only got approximately 75% of it back, even though it never kicked in. I m convinced that this company is only concerned about money. Multiple people and companies I have spoken with have had unnervingly similar experiences with Kolar. So now, we have an unsafe vehicle, that we pay monthly for that we can t have fixed under warranty because Kolar can t find the leaks and they claimed all the money for a repair they didn t fix. If I could give them a negative score, I would. I will never recommend this company.

I brought my 2014 GMC Sierra in to Kolar because it unexpectedly was turning off while being driven. I was able to see that this has been a common issue when I looked it up on forums. However, Kolar stated that they were unable to determine that an issue even existed, let alone fix it. When I mentioned that there had been service bulletins about it, they stated that my truck didn't qualify due to the engine size; and then they incorrectly identified my truck's engine size.
I'm extremely disappointed with their service department. First, they were unable to identify the engine size in the truck, and also unable to diagnose a common problem. Even with their inept nature, they still charged $144 for this, but presented no solution or recommendation (when I even have warranty coverage purchased through them).
The biggest red flag to me though, was when I brought it up to the manager that they were sending a vehicle that is clearly unsafe back out on the road - she said that she was fine with doing so, but that they would look into what I recommended if I paid the additional hourly rate.
This was a terrible experience; completely unbelievable that a safety issue of this magnitude could be blown off by both technicians, as well as management.

Bought a 2019 Blazer and the salesman went over the entire vehicle with me and answered all of my questions. They even took in my old Camry as a trade. Finance made sure I understood everything they were going over and even had someone give me a tour of the place after I was done. Great place to buy a vehicle.

Service was poor and we were treated disrespectfully. Communication non-existent, many delays. We had to threaten a lawsuit to get compensated for a rental car they refused to pay for after they made the arrangements. Once we were compensated, we didn't receive any kind of apology or acknowledgment of their mistake.

I checked in with Damian at 9:45 and drove away at 12:30 in my latest pre-owned car. I was treated like I was buying a $100,000 car, even though I was only spending 15k. I got the car I wanted... I drove 80 miles, one way, just to test drive it. In less than 3 hours; with no money down, no trade-in, AND my mediocre credit history, I drove off the lot. Thank you, Damian! I will be back! ~Bruk Sweeney

I had a GREAT experience at Kolar. Friendly staff, great facility, and I LOVE my car. My only gripe is how long it took to get the whole process done. At our current level of tech, it shouldn't take 3 hours to work out financing options with multiple banks. This, however is a minor quibble, and one I will chalk up to "thoroughness". I would recommend Kolar to anyone looking to buy a car.

Brought truck in for trailer brakes, pay too much money for it, hook up to a trailer and still no brakes. Brought it back and they tell me 5 min and it will be done. 3.5 hours later they figure out it was the plug, if it was me it would be the first thing I would check but each to their own. Then was told just had to pay for the part, which would make sense because they told me it was fixed and I am taking 3.5 hours out of my work day for them to fix it again. Then I get a phone call at the end of the day and they forgot to charge me labor, which conveniently is another 400. Made me pay it, although they did split it in half. I shouldn t have to pay that and I ll never go through kolar again

Have had multiple bad experiences here actually but most recent was my fiance brought his car here for a recall. It's not a nice car but it does the job. Brought the car there and for the recall stuff. After it was done he went and got the car on the way home the check engine light started flashing. He brought the car right back they told us it was nothing they did and that the battery was bad. We then bought a brand new battery. Put it in and started it up. Then again the check engine light was flashing. When we went back and talked to the guy he then said it could be multiple things but it still wasn't there fault. He said they could do a diagnostic on the car. Great! But they wanted to charge two hours labor! They said it's probably a missfire but again not their fault. We reminded them that the car did not have that issue when we brought it in and they had to take off spark it's and do other things. But he said the best mechanic they had worked on it so there's no way. So we asked for our paperwork so we could go elsewhere and If indeed there was an issue coming on it would be noted on their end.. guess what? They don't know where the paperwork is.. so we bought a new battery. Has work done and now we can't even drive it home or get the paperwork. How unprofessional!

Kolar can t seem to get the job done the first time I bring my vehicle in ever. There s always something off or can t manage to reset something or finish the job.

Plus, the first time my wife used them in college for her vehicle, they scraped up the side of the car. Instead of owning up, they blamed her saying it must have been from her heels. Spoiler alert, she didn t wear heels in college. So they decided to be sexist instead.

If I could, I would give them zero stars. Would not recommend

The Kolar staff was very courteous and helpful when I expressed interest in a new Buick Encore Sport Touring - AWD. Russ Howard brought Tom Pederson over to help with my questions while he evaluated my Chevrolet Malibu for a trade-in. Tom explained features of the SUV well and arranged for a test drive. He made sure it was the AWD model I wanted for good traction in our winter weather. Once I decided to proceed, Tom found the new 2018 model that met my expectations and brought Brandon Radovich over to discuss financing, vehicle protection and extended warranty options. Britini came over and explained the Kolar Passport, while taking me around the dealership to meet people who would provide assistance with different needs for my new vehicle in the future.

Once everything was in order, we proceeded with the deal. Tom was very kind in providing the winter weather mats for my vehicle to protect the carpet underneath. I drove the new Buick Encore home and was impressed with it's handling, comfort and quiet ride once again.

I returned with the vehicle for an appointment a few days later to have the protection products applied. Tina in the Parts department checked out a special promotion with my GM Card and helped me acquire a new cargo tray for an extremely attractive price. Tom explained the protective treatments that had been applied and installed the new cargo tray for me. I enjoyed the drive afterwards, confident my vehicle would perform well in the new snow that had fallen and would provide years of enjoyable transportation wherever I chose to go.

I was very pleased with the purchasing process and all the excellent help provided by all the members of the Kolar team that helped me.

I brought my brand new truck in for a recall and during the appointment I inquired about the rear shock absorber tubes Having excessive amounts of rust on them to my service writer. He initially tried to ignore the issue and then state it is normal, which it is not on a brand new truck! I was promised a call back the following day from the warranty division which I never received nor a follow up call from the service department on my concern. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership.

Also, the hours of operation posted on the door next to the service drive are no longer accurate, they now open at 7:30 instead of 7:00 and when I attempted to pull in at 7:20 the service writer came running and yelling to stay out. Maybe they should update the hours posted?

Overall another disappointing experience courtesy of kolar Chevrolet service and their people.

Update: A representative of the dealership contacted me 6 days ago to discuss my review of the dealership
And see what they could do to make it right with me. She was very pleasant and professional on the phone promising me a follow up call with options to resolve the issue. I have not received a follow up call or email since. This dealership called me to waste 15 minutes of my time and then never called back. If google would allow me to leave a 0 star review I would. People shopping at kolar Chevrolet, simply go find a different Gm dealership. They obviously have enough business and do not have any desire to cultivate new relationships.

I agree with every other negative review on here. I m so disgusted with this place I m not going to bother explaining since they will never make it right anyway. But what I WILL do is tell everyone I know how horrible they are and make sure no one I know ever takes their vehicle there or buys a vehicle there after hearing my story. HORRIBLE! Absolutely amazing experience compared to past dealers. I recommend working with Karl Howg out of sales. Very personable, responsive and caring. I m amazed at how he s worked so hard to get me the best deal even after I already bought a truck. When the brakes started to go (bought the truck at 70,000 miles) he arranged for me to get them fixed the day of and free of charge. I ve never received such good service, always putting the customer first and responding very very fast. He will definitely be getting my service again and other people s I talk to. Only guy you should go to. I m not one to usually say to go to a dealer, but I highly recommend not just Kolar, but Karl Howg. Absolutely fantastic guy. Nobody better.

Awful service. The only nice thing is the beverages while you wait. Not enough help. It took hours for financing and then they sold us the wrong car. The sales guy had my husband thinking our loan would be like $10000 less after our trade in then it actually was. The sales guy assured me they would only check financing for 2 places when I specifically asked because I was only interested in gm financing. Well many were checked when I looked at my husband and my credit report. We waited 3 hours just to get into the financing department. They could have let us know how long t would have been as we could have went out to eat or something especially waiting with kids. I live out of town and had to drive all the way back another day because of their screw up. The sales manager did get us the right vehicle with 3rd row seatin but it only sat 6 instead of seven like the other ones we had seen. It wasn't worth the fight after spending a whole day there with 2 kids and a second day. They also assured me that the price would remain the same but it did not when we went back but they were in a hurry and just kept telling us sign here and here and here. The price went up. According to the window sticker I found from the other dealership For my car I could have saved money going there! They did not go through how the vehicle optioned worked like at other dealerships.

Huge thank you to Craig Siry!!! Last Friday I drove to Duluth for my sons hockey tournament and rear door of my SUV would not shut. I arrived at the Kolar about 5:15...closing time right? I explained to Craig I just arrived from the cities and he called back one of his technicians to come and get my car fixed. I would have been stuck or had to turn around drive right back to Minneapolis. Thanks for understanding my situation and going above and beyond on service. As a business owner.. I truly appreciate the commit to service even when Craig didn't have to help me out. Job very well done!!!

Kolar has a great inventory and great prices!!! If you have great credit and a day to get a deal done I would highly recommend going there. If you have marginal/poor credit dont waste your time. Not only will they sell the vehicle you wanted out from under you but they will string you along (meaning they give you some excuse as to why you have/have not been approved and then after about 1 1/2 weeks they'll lie to you again(based on the conversations you've had with them over the 1 1/2 weeks) and say they couldn't do anything for you.
Kolar should have some integrity and say they only work with people who have excellent credit, learn to keep in touch with people they write deals for (they have no problem keeping in contact with you and telling you its time to buy another vehicle), and tell you upfront that they wont be able to get you approved rather than play the games they do for 1-1/2 weeks.
Lastly after they tell you that they dont have a vehicle for you (meaning they sold the vehicle you wanted and/or are trying to pick the vehicle they want you in) dont believe them for a minute when they say that they'll keep your file on their desk so that when a vehicle does come in they'll give you a call (I waited approximately a year in between experiencing the Kolar difference and never did receive that phone call).
Stay away if you can!!!

Great Service Staff and timely service. (Oil Change) The prices and GM Coupons however do not match up. Even the digital promotion screen above the Service Rep desks do not match up with the prices. The coupons sent out direct from GM also do not work without paying extra for extra oil etc.
It is easier and less expensive to go to an oil change speciality shop or even a competing dealer (different brand of vehicle) for an oil change. Many of them even do an outside wash & inside vacume as a no cost perk. If the GM dealers want to be competitive and retain customer loyalty they are going to have to spruce up their oil change (on newer and leased vehicles) policy and make it more customer friendly. Many of my friends with new GM trucks feel the same way. Dealer and staff were great but you have to be more transparent on prices. A simple flat rate price (considering oil capacity) would go a long way to keep customers happy.

The Kolar dealership called me because my car told them it needed a tire rotation. How cool is that? Then I knew the oil was getting close to needing changing so I made my appointment for both. They recommended the shuttle to get me to work that day and I was to work on time even with a car packed full of passengers. My car was done ahead of time and the shuttle again came to pick me up at work and brought me to the dealer. Instead of having to wait for my vehicle in house 3 hours I only had to take a half hour off work. I appreciate the service, my car was well cared for and the shuttle driver was very courteous. Thanks Kolar!

Oh I've usually had very good service here. But a couple weeks ago I had a situation where my battery died in my car, and I did end up getting at charged and the car appeared to be running fine; but the radio went into lock mode. I called their service department and talk to other adviser who wasn't sure but told me to bring the car and in one of them would look at it, so I did a couple days later only to find out that they wanted to charge me a $120 an hour to unlock the security lock on my radio ( Essentially sometimes when the radio loses power it thinks it's been removed from the original vehicle and enters a lock mode. This is ment as an anti theft feature.) Older models this was fixed by holding down a couple of keys on the radio bring up a couple of codes and calling an 800 number to unlock it. But apparently this has been change in newer models and so I'm told only the dealership can unlock it at that point. To The best of my knowledge they never actually looked at my car because I did not agree to the $120 fee. The Service advisor went off to talk to one of the technicians and came back and talk to me. They told me that the only way to fix this problem would be to reprogram my radio at the cost of a $120 an hour that being the minimum. After talking to several of their people including a manager I left the dealership angry understandably so. I had a warranty through a 3rd party who refused to honor this because it was not a hardware problem. The security lock feature is something built into the radios by GM if the radio is locked then GM or their representatives, the dealer, should have to pay to have it unlocked. A few days later the radio miraculously started working again so either their service people are very misinformed or were lieing to me. But to have to think long and hard before I give them any more of my business, either when it's time for a battery or tires or even my next vehicle.

I think they have the problem taken care of, which is good. Its too bad they didn't just take care of it like this right from the start. They should handle customers this way on their own without any prodding from GMC. So, while I am glad to have my truck taken care of, the way that I was treated probably has burned me from returning to Kolar. Its too bad really, it was my first time there and they had an opportunity to make me a lifelong customer if they wanted to.

CRAIG IN SERVICE!!!!!! Bought my truck from them and it ended up having issues a month after. I live 100 miles from there and called the dealership where I talked to Craig. He said have it towed in, we will take care of you, and they went ABOVE and BEYOND by getting it in the shop first thing the next morning. Giving me an awesome loaner to get back home, and taking care of the cost to fix everything! I will only buy cars from these folks and have never been treated this good by a dealership. Plus.. Craig was the BEST!

Over the weekend my husband and I were traveling through Duluth when we had some car troubles. We stopped at Kolar to hopefully have the car serviced and then get on our way to our final destination. Unfortunately we were late enough in the day that all of the technicians had already left for the day. The service advisors recommended a shop close by that may have been able to repair our car yet that day, unfortunately, their technicians had also left for the day. We went back to Kolar to see about getting a rental car and having our car repaired the next day. Unfortunately, Kolar was out of rental cars as well, but the service advisor started making calls to rental car companies to get us a rental car so we could get on the road. While she was making those phone calls, a rental car was returned and Kolar quickly checked it in so that we could rent a car from them at half the rate we would have gotten a rental from elsewhere and we filled out the necessary paperwork and were on our way, having only lost about an hour. The next day Scott was fantastic about dealing with what I'm sure to him were our bothersome phone calls checking on the status of our car. We knew when we left on Thursday that the service schedule was packed on Friday, but Scott understood how important it was to us to at least get the problem diagnosed on Friday to ensure Kolar had or was able to get the part to repair our car. Our car was diagnosed late in the day on Friday and Kolar did not have the part, but Scott went out of his way to stop at another dealership on his way into work on Saturday morning to pick up the part so that our car could be repaired on Saturday morning and we would be able to stop and pick up our car on our way home Saturday.

My husband is a GM technician and recognizes that this is a GM standard of service at GM dealerships, but not necessarily within the rest of the industry. We truly appreciated that Scott and the Kolar team went out of their way to help us.

Appointment made weeks ago. We got a call to see if we would drop off instead of waiting due to busy day. Not a problem, a bit inconvenient for us (live an hour away and had planned this for a while), but we were willing to work with them. Guess our appointment was pushed way down in priority even if you work with them and make far in advance. No call after five hours. Several calls in we finally get a call back and they looked at vehicle last minute. This was after I called to see when they closed and that we needed to come get vehicle! We couldn t get it fixed unless we left overnight even though we drove over an hour to drop off all day each way for them and they d had the parts there and pulled during the day. Husband going out of town and no loaner available or really even offered. When we went to pick up about another 20 minutes while they moved cars (?) and helped other people while we stood there (other people came after us). Finally our paperwork was found. I had to awkwardly stand and ask for our paperwork several times. I m pleasant and don t yell, but this annoyed me. I am too concerned to have them touch my vehicle. We were willing to spend quite a bit to fix and will be looking for another new vehicle soon. But not there, never there.

No very happy.
Waited almost 2 months for a older truck to come in, and finally received a text about a truck being available to purchase. We quickly got ready and started to head to Duluth. Keeping in mind it s an hour drive. On the way there we received a text message that one of their sales reps whithin the company bought the truck.
