I learned about this farm on Airbnb as they had it listed as one of their experiences as a tour and social impact experience. It worked into our travel plans so we went the Friday after Thanksgiving and enjoyed it.

We both really liked the tour and learning how their pecans are processed and then hand sorted. We enjoyed our lunch and met some interesting people. We then watched the documentary about the history of the farm. It is an interesting place and I had no idea that it is also where Habitat for Humanity was founded.

We spent the last hour helping in the bakery by stuffing dates with pecans. We both got to sample one when we were done and they were quite tasty and healthy too.

We got to see the rooms that are available for rent in The Fuller House. Also saw the Library which has a nice Children s section, the kitchen and the shipping dept. Everything was clean and well run. We plan to go back in the spring when we can stay for a few nights. So glad to have found this special place. Also glad to know they have rooms for rent.

My aunt and I stayed here a couple nights. I enjoyed: the communal meals (a bit awkward at first, but we quickly felt welcomed); exploring the property (there are resident cats and chickens, gardens, and many acres of pecan groves and general wildness); and all the products they peddle (chocolate bark, pecan brittle, and peach-nut bread, coffee, pecan butter, etc). I also got a kick out of finding a chicken pecking around outside porch! Seemed like there wasn't much happening in January, but I could see their missions of land stewardship and inclusivity are going strong. Very welcoming place, but I'd recommend one of the cottages further back on the property, as Hwy 49 can be quite loud.

Very open place to tour with sheep, cows, and other animals. Very large pecan orchard which are harvested, sorted, and sold by interns and employees. That product plus others you can purchase at the Visitors Center help financially support the farm.

We visited as traveling through and they welcomed us to have lunch with them. Good basic food and plain, genuine people there. Also food products and books on social change and spiritualit for sale in the gift/craft shop.

Today was a tribute to a wonderful man, Millard Fuller, who was the founder of Habitat for Humanity and the Fuller Center for Housing on the 10th anniversary of his passing on to be with our Lord. I felt very inspired after hear the comments about his life and doing for others.
