I learned about this farm on Airbnb as they had it listed as one of their experiences as a tour and social impact experience. It worked into our travel plans so we went the Friday after Thanksgiving and enjoyed it.

We both really liked the tour and learning how their pecans are processed and then hand sorted. We enjoyed our lunch and met some interesting people. We then watched the documentary about the history of the farm. It is an interesting place and I had no idea that it is also where Habitat for Humanity was founded.

We spent the last hour helping in the bakery by stuffing dates with pecans. We both got to sample one when we were done and they were quite tasty and healthy too.

We got to see the rooms that are available for rent in The Fuller House. Also saw the Library which has a nice Children s section, the kitchen and the shipping dept. Everything was clean and well run. We plan to go back in the spring when we can stay for a few nights. So glad to have found this special place. Also glad to know they have rooms for rent.
