Living in Dallas, I wish I could have a shop here. People love it. I was born and raised in Flint. Got many to love Koegel meats. I try to get as much as can when I drive up there. Just wish could get them to spread their wings outside of MI. This is a delicatessen from MI that most do not get to sample. The Pickled Bologna and Red Hots are a hot here.
If all places could be this easy to deliver to. They have overnight parking, my door was knocked on an hour before my 5 a.m. appointment, and I was out by 4:45.
The last few packs of Viennas I've bought, the casings are EXTREMELY tough and chewy. There's no snap to them anymore. Maybe they're not using as many, because they're not producing as many (because of covid canceling ball games, festivals, etc.) and being older makes them tough?
Either way, what's the point of spending the extra money if there's no snap when you bite it?
Does anyone know if Nathan's hotdogs have snap?
Its Kogels, it's great, if you're not from Michigan you just wouldn't understand. If you're a real coney island connoisseur, get the ones called "coney franks." Only sold in 10lb boxes, but they are longer and thinner so you never eat dry bun and you can load more stuff on your dog.
At first there were a lot of bone pieces and hard gelled (what ever that was) in the bologna. I have not bought it in over a year and a half. Tried it again it seemed fine. That was great the last pack has fine pieces of bone. I'm done.
Great quality food, and wonderful company to work for.
I bought Koegels Summer Sausage thinking it would be the best available, but the flavor is lacking & it has big hunks of grizzle that aren't very appetizing. What's up with that?
Love this place! Nothing better the a Koegel Vienna.
Koegels's is a good Michigan product. The viennas have a nice "Snap" to their casing and are GREAT for grilling.
We enjoy koegel meats with family and friends all four seasons!!
We were brought up eating Koegel meats and to this day, it is hard for me to eat anything else! Koegels is the ONLY way to go. My husband came from Texas and didn't even care what type of bologna or hot dogs he ate. Now he tells anyone who will listen about how good Koegels are! Thank you for continuing to give us Quality products!
Absolutely some of the BEST meat products in the world! Hands down!
We live in Florida now. It's a real treat when we get to partake in their products, and it's always worth it.
I have to do a boring assignment about the different variety of meats that koegels offers. But it's not going to MEAT the requirements because it's only in Michigan...
This was the best job I've ever had! It was an amazing opportunity that to fault of my own I lost. Definitely a place I recommend a career.
I simply cannot eat any other hot dog other than Koegels. Other brands (even name brands) are mushy and have a weird texture. Koegel's are the best and worth every penny!
Dinner Frank's Rock!!! Just had beef Fankfurts tonight! Vienna's are the best! You should take these to New York and show them Yankees a real Hot Dog!
I was born and raised in the Flint, Michigan, area. Koegel hot dogs, as well as other Koegel products, were always in our fridge/freezer. Having visited and lived in several states and countries in my life, there has never been a hot dog or similar meat product that compares to Koegel Meats. They are fresh, delicious and tasty. I am ecstatic that I can now order their products online! GO MICHIGAN!! GO KOEGELS!!
The Best ever
Thank God for shipping.
I'm getting really Hungry
Winter in Arizona and it's so hard to go 5 months without Koegel liverwurst and hot dogs!
