Just had fish & chips. The fish was so overcooked it was hard & it should be advertised as fish & fries because they definitely weren't chips! Other than that it's a nice pub.

We have taken our whole family here, for Sunday lunch and it was fabulous. The food portions are enormous, the food was lovely, properly cooked and presented well. The food came on time, even though it was busy, served by extremely pleasant friendly staff. There are high hairs for the kids to sit up at the table. The manager is always hands on, works as hard as his staff. We have been down for drinks only, and love the spaciousness of the bar. The bar staff work hard to get to serve you as quickly as possible. Children are welcome in the bar area, it really is a family friendly place. We also spent New Years Eve here and saw the New Year in. Again, the manager was on hand working hard alongside his staff. The dogs that come in are always well behaved and I think its a lovely idea, especially the dog treat bar that gives your dog free treats. The toilets upstairs are spacious and well lit. There is plenty of parking. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Lovely food at a good price. Good beers. Helpful starf.
more seating required outside on sunny days, it's the best pub garden in Biggleswade. Shame there are little vegan options on the main menu, but their vegan chocolate cake was AMAZING!!! that's what gives it 5 stars!
Visited today without booking ahead. After a 45 min wait in the bar and lots of people watching, what became apparent was the seven family groups who were turned away due to the lack of seating in the resturant section and yet all round us were empty tables including in the dog area. I heard many of them ask if the empty areas were availiable and they were told no. As I watched on it felt as though good custom was being lost due to no flexibility in the seating areas. However our experience was pleasant and the staff member was friendly and we received our meal within 20 mins. Will definitely book next time and use other locations when it's a spontaneous visit.
Very hard sausages and Yorkshire pudding could not get a knife and fork in them.
Were replaced with raw Yorkshire pudding.
Not a good meal for my first and last visit
Honestly a stunning experience your allowed to book online @ 8:30 and state you would like dinner .
When u turn up, ur told at the door "sorry kitchen shuts at 8:30 we suggest you order quick"
The beer garden experience, what an experience!! Order a drink outside you must use the poor one man band in the tent who will be serving the whole beer garden.
With the 2m ruling and funny looks, The queue for the bar ends in potton ( get in early!)
If you order a drink that's not In the garden tent the poor chap has to get it from the bar inside!!
When you walk into the bar the 7 staff behind stare at you Like something from the walking dead and panic because you chase them for a soft drink you ordered 30 mins ago.
Lovely restaurant. Chicken and the burger were nice but steak tasted burnt and was overdone
Newish pub of the McMullen brand. Good example of its type with reasonably priced pub food
It's a place if you're desparate for something to eat. The food taste like rewarmed frozen food from the microwave.
A very nice, relaxing pub, where the staff are friendly and helpful, and you can even bring your dog!
Had a lovely meal in the restaurant (book a table!) I had a medium steak which was cooked to perfection!
Quite a disappointing visit however the management are aware.
Great food and good service with very friendly staff, I would imagine that it would get very busy at the weekends.
Loved the fact they did smaller portions. Very quick even on a busy Sunday
Good food and service. Currently only providing a limited menu so full range of options not available.
Food was fairly good except for the cheese burger was dry. And waiter slow and walked off while I was try to order drinks
The place is lovely, food location, but food not so great, or maybe chef had a bad day? Don't know.
First time I went here and I took my fiancee and my little girl there for dinner and from the time i get through the door amazing service so welcoming and was ready to order food which came with a good portion of food amount and was very More
Want to order Hunter chicken but was told didn't have any left and only limited other good even though only 6pm. Ordered large scampi and chips came in a small basket more a starter size. Have been before and was very pleased.
Update thought would give them a second chance and have lunch. Ordered the mixed grill only to be told they have no steaks for it so would have to order another meal. She showed me on her tablet that about 5 meals were unavailable. I ordered the chicken burger, there were 3 of us at our table and not that busy the order took about 40 to arrive when I ate it, it was only just warm as though it had been sitting for about 30 waiting to be served to us.Would not recommend this restaurant for somewhere to eat but ok if you just want a drink. If I could would give negative stars never going back again
So we decided to eat here for my partners mums early birthday meal, the food was amazing the only issue we had was they brought my partners mums food out about 3 tijes as they got the order wrong as she has to be gluten free, but the staff were quick to get it sorted as quickly as possible, so the staff dod amazing just meed tp make sure on ticket system there a not to sau its gluten free. Will be back soon as this was a great pub whixh great food.
A really nice pub. Lots of seats available, food was very nice for a pub chain. Nice that dogs are allowed inside
Ordered food from menu additions, chilli con carne at 5pm, 15 minutes later the waitress came to the table to say they had run out of this and to order something else. Why did we have to wait that long to let us know?
Food nothing special service appealing forgot drinks and very very slow service
Was refused to be served food outside at 8pm even though evidence that they had been as table behind had just got food! Also they don't look after Guineas as didn't taste great. Got my group to drink up and we left to the local wetherspoons where we got much better service a greater choice of beer and much more for your cash!
Lovely pub, nice food although menu was a bit limited.. could do with a few more items but would recommend.. dog friendly too
Great food and service, garden is perfect for sunny days will definitely be returning soon!
Nice food at good prices
Dogs are as welcome as their owners
This is constructive criticism I have eaten here twice and for me my meals were adequate. Unfortunately portion sizes for other members of our party were less to be desired. One being slightly undersized was the sea bass but the worst is More
Booked table for 3, liked the inside it is very welcoming, clean and not to loud, staff were polite and friendly, Had 2 courses, main and desert and portion sizes were perfect and food came out well presented and hot. Prices were what you would expect for a local pub. Will definitely return again and recommend to friends. Big thumbs up for a place that has only recently opened.
Great atmosphere , lovely place and good food ... few issues with availability of food and staff , but that's only because it's new . All staff helpful and friendly ... Great place to take dogs - blankets and treats available . Good gin menu too ... so a great addition to the Kings Reach development !
Place has a instantly comfortable atmosphere, great selection of beers and gin! The Merlot is also lovely! Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is scrumptious! Really good for a family meal and meal with friends, atmosphere suits all! My little dog Frankie loves coming here too.
Enjoyable Evening, food was good, service was good, would go back.
Not often I order a rare steak and it comes out rare, spot on! Really good food, great service and an easy atmosphere
Great place for a relaxed evening enjoying good food and drink. Friendly staff that are happy to help where needed.
First time there it's a bit far out of the wade for me and a bit more expensive than town centre staff where friendly cannot comment on the the food but menu look expensive to
Lovely place, Love the decor and they make a mean roast on a sunday
Last night I took a friend out for supper to The Kings Reach in Biggleswade. It s a fairly new build and looked reasonably presentable. We both ordered the medium rare sirloin steak with sauce and waited for our meals to arrive ...
When they eventually came out, first thing that was evident was that the plates were cold ... then the steaks were both over cooked ... and the jugs of peppercorn sauces were absolutely cold ...
The waiter Luke came when we called him and was very apologetic and took both our meals away ...
We have now been waiting an hour since arriving and our replacement meals have now arrived ...
Both our replacement steaks were yet again over cooked and came back cold ... the chips were cold and the mushrooms were so shrivelled up and hard you could not eat them ...
We again called the staff and this time asked to speak to the chef who apparently was too busy and so we got up to leave when the manager came out. She apologised but gave us no incentive to come back or even an offer of a different meal.
I will not be going back to The Kings Reach and will certainly not be recommending it to anyone.
The only person to show any real embarrassment was Luke our waiter ...
If I could leave a ZERO STAR rating I jolly well would
Totally unprofessional
They need to close the kitchen and go take a cooking course ... so so very disappointing ...
I will never go there again ...
Popped in for a drink looks ok inside didn't eat at all only their for 30 mins
Excellent all round evening. My partner sent her meal back as the meat was extremely dry and it was refunded. Staff were very understanding
Nice enough pub, can get very busy. Food isn't great but will fill a hole. Beer choice isn't too bad.
Amazing food and lovely staff, always clean and just a nice atmosphere would give 11/10 if I could
Nice environment. Very slow but polite service - over an hour to get starters and nearly two hours from arrival to main course. Food is fairly good, but because of Covid-19, the menu has been reduced so would probably normally be better.
Brand new pub. Great food, great selection of drinks and most importantly, great staff! Recommended
Call in for lunch today at 12.00 three staff near the reception desk, one answered the phone, one sat at a table behind with a foot on the seat, and the other one was at the bar!
Eventually after what seemed an age the one at the bar came over and asked if we had booked!
I said no, she then spent ages on her iPad looking to see if there was a free table.
Again after standing there like a couple of dummies I said that if it was too hard to find a table in what was an empty restaurant we would go elsewhere, so we left.
No smile, no greeting, no food and for sure no return.
.
Nice decor, average pub grub not a great selection of Ales. Ok for Mcmullen fans.
Fantastic place. Great Food at a great price. Excellent Service. Travelled 45 miles for a Family meal. Well worth the effort. Highly recommended.
Good place to eat and drink price should be in line with other places in Biggleswade at the moment a bit pricey
Ok but nothing special
Everything over cooked and service slow.
I've been here a few times and 2 weeks ago we sat inside and had a nice evening and meal.
However, I went again last week and, as it was a nice evening, we wanted to sit outside. It was quite busy but there were still lots of free tables around. What really shocked me was the lack of hygiene during the Covid pandemic. Tables were not cleaned and dirty plates and glasses were not collected throughout the evening. Every single table around us was dirty and full of dishes for hours. I can't imagine that those are the government guidelines at the moment.
When it comes to the actual food, I'm not really sure what to say. I had the chicken salad before which I liked but last week I chose the chicken with fries and was really disappointed. The chicken was boringly seasoned and dry. And it was fries with chicken and not chicken with fries. Not sure about coriander in coleslaw. I love coriander but felt it didn't belong in there at all. But that's just my opinion.
Eaten here a few times, always had good food, and enjoyed our visits. Risotto portion appears small but it is actually the perfect size leaving room for dessert! Reasonably priced, friendly staff, clean and nicely decorated. Book in advance!
It was very dog friendly so if you do not like dogs do not go. But it is big and lovely
Lovely atmosphere, great staff, brilliant food good value for money
Good food made even better with free birthday pressco
