The service was lovely and warm and felt like pre Covid by this alone. However I thought the food was poor. Reminded me of a low budget pub menu and tasted that way as well. Had the breaded mushrooms. Sadly completely over cooked and hard. Completely understand about a reduced menu but hardly any choice on the menu. Pudding was a let down - had the pudding to fill me up - so ordered Apple Pie - looked like a cheap Pukka Pie!

After my first visit I would absolutely recommend this venue, we booked a table for a birthday celebration, reasonably priced menus, excellent food, staff seemed busy and engaged in their work, personally I think the service was good, minor details could be improved with further training regarding table service (delivering the food and collection of plates etc) attention to detail would make this a very pleasant experience, I wasn't expecting silver service ( a pet hate of mine stacking plates at the table ) glasses and condiments left behind, this being said I would recommend this for a family afternoon out.

OK Food but missing that wow factor. Staff were good but everything seemed a bit rushed and missed the attention to detail, such as 'No ice' means I don't want ice in my drink? So why did I get ice? The chips were not what you would expect, a bit cooked earlier and reheated. For the price I would expect a bit more than this.

Arrived for Sunday lunch at 12 before it got too busy. The place is clean, modern yet country-in style design, and very friendly staff. The waitress was lovely, smiley and polite. Service was prompt, we were sat for a only a few minutes and we were seen to. The food was quick, hot and very tasty. The roast chicken was lovely & the roast potatoes were perfectly cooked. Cripsy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Definitely a good time to go before things get too busy there. Will definitely go again.

Only gave one star because the waitress was lovely. Our first visit but our friends had been a couple of times before with their children, albeit at an earlier sitting. We booked in several 3 weeks before and turned up just before our time but the table was ready which was great. It was 7.15 and already busy. We had a bit of a wait for the drinks order to be taken and we were disappointed there was only a drinks menu which had wines, cocktails and gin so we had to ask the waitress what was available. We then had a long wait for the drinks to actually arrive and then one was wrong which the waitress notices and then changed albeit this took some time too.
We gave our order ( a table who were seated after us had their order taken before us)and our starters came out very quickly and were delicious. We then waited a very long time for our main course, to the point where we found a member of staff and queried it. Strangely our food came out straight after and it was appalling. Most of the 6 dishes looked like they had been left on the side in the heat. The chips look pale and unappetising. The hunter's chicken was dry and totally overcooked, the fish batter was overdone, the sirloin was chewy and rather than medium to well done was rare. My steak was cold and rare rather than medium rare. The onion rings were burnt. We complained and received apologies and an offer of replacement meals which we declined due to original wait time. Only one of us actually ate our main the rest went back uneaten. We ordered desserts which came quicker and were lovely. When it came to the bill we only paid for drinks and starters, we would have paid for desserts but were given these as an apology.
We saw many items being sent back and many plates once cleared from tables had a lot of food left on them, not I am sure because the portions were too big. We waited to visit to allow for teething issues but obviously busy times are not good for service and standards.
We won't be returning nor recommending, sadly.

Modern but rustic in appearance and comfort. Has some very good local ales at the bar. Could do with a more up-market type of menu but all in all a very welcome addition to the the King's Reach area of Biggleswade.

We visited at lunchtime with another couple and were looked after wonderfully. The gentleman with us is very unwell and they could not have been more accommodating. Never did we feel rushed or have to wait for the key for the disabled bathroom, they seem to anticipate our needs. Emma serving us looked after us with care and good humour. The food was excellent, I need to eat from the gluten free menu and that too was lovely. Well done to the whole team on the hottest day for many years! I will certainly be back.
