We went for a treat at 5.30 Saturday night was our first time. Place was lovely service was good, great atmosphere, adults food was Ok, my 2yr old had fish fingers and chips, never again. We got home and within the hour she was vomiting everywhere and continued for a good few hours after. She had only really eaten that all day. Gutted as we were all looking forward to going to our new local .
Lovely venue and food, good value, great service. Steak was amazing, have a sirloin cooked medium, super tender and tasty!
Great venue, excellent food and fantastic staff. Well done to all.
Great food and atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Yes, the place is good but it does have some catching up to do on service side of things. On a number of visits the service of drinks has been quite slow. And also taking finished plates. Food is brilliant and the service isn't enough to stop me coming as I'm sure they'll improve.
Very nice place for classic pub food. Great food and drink served fast.
I felt slightly under dressed in my ripped jeans and void hightops as this establishment seems slightly more upscale to what I'm used too. The food was great, service was ok, took while for food to come but it was busy and was worth the wait. I think the prices are good for the food you get. FYI the take away box with custard in has sustained I'm very pleased with this place & even my 3 yr old daughter said she enjoyed it. I will defiantly be coming back.
So lovely in there....but drink prices are too much...
Food was excellent , staff friendly, and service was quick.
From the moment we walked in, there was staff sitting by the entrance window singing quite loudly.
The lady working on the restaurant seating till asked us if we booked a table @16:30 (bit of a joke) had a face like slapped behind. Shown to the smallest table in which a family of four could sit around when clearly larger tables were available.
Once clearing leftover food off of the seats we sat down to eat our meal.
I wouldn't recommend the half boneless chicken unless you like a mush of fat on your plate as by picture attached.
The reason for the two stars are due to fact that they didn't manage to mess up the liquid (beer) that comes from the taps. Which I suppose is a plus.
Surprisingly the desert was really nice.
Enough said. If you haven't seen my review on here it will also be available to view on trip advisor

The food was terrible. The starters were ok but main courses were overcooked.
Disappointed as we were looking forward to a new resturant close to us.
Poor service, we ordered starters and mains but got everything together, in less than 5 minutes after ordering, we didn't even received the drinks yet, food is precoocked and not fresh, we were told that manager will sort things out but no one came back to ask anything after, won't be going back
Would recommend a visit the food was excellent with a variety of dishes including vegetarian on offer in a relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff
Food was okay and an okay selection of beers and wines. I ordered a steak medium rare but came more on the rare side which is okay but was really chewy which I dont like. Also I think the pricing is pretty good as I went with my girlfriend More
Good atmosphere and service. Fair price for the food. Plenty of choices. Helpful staff.
Had a fairly nice experience here. The food was very nice though the portions were a tad small, the starter of BBQ Chicken Nachos was nothing short of phenomenal. Had some sort of buttefly chicken for mains which was nice enough though more chips would have been nice and dessert escapes me, Our waitress could have done with smiling once or twice. I'd definitely go again though!
Very good place to eat relaxed and comfortable place to eat . Also kids welcome
Really good shop. Loads of choice and really great staff.
Very modern not bedded it's self in yet but a good menu with it's own grill and chicken section very dog friendly and a excellent fully fenced beer garden
Nice gastro pub that only opened recently. It's interior decor and exterior look has been carefully designed and it shows. Staff are friendly and polite. I've been twice and on both occasions it's been busy but not to busy to accommodate without booking. Food was good which is always a plus in a restaurant. The cocktails are also recommended.
Lovely place,good food,excellent staff,fully recommend.
Great to have a new venue in Biggleswade since this new-build venue opened on 5th December 2018. It's the only McMullen tied pub in Biggleswade and offers a different but limited range of ales.
The environment is pleasant and seating comfortable and as you d expect for a new venue it s clean.
Drinks: Expect to pay top dollar for drinks and for this reason I prefer to choose the smaller independent pubs for quality or Wetherspoons for value when meeting a friend for a beer. The Pale Ale is pleasant, but as it s tied to McMullen I couldn t see any sign of craft ales.
Service: Couldn t fault the service which is friendly and efficient.
For those who like to take their pets, it s dog friendly.
Summary: It s a chain pub and is slightly up-market compared to Wetherspoon s (table service, clean tables). It s good value, but beware of the fish and chips which may disappoint.
Good choice of food, friendly staff definitely recommend
A really nice pub and dog friendly in the bar we only went for one passing drink but the staff seemed friendly they had a good variety of beers and altgough we didn't have any the food looked amazing.
Lovely meal good service will definitely come agian
Staff are terrible. They always rather sit down and play on their phones than serve customers. It's a surreal experience. It's a shame though, atmosphere and food isn't bad.
Popular and friendly staff. Plenty of room. Food very nice. Plenty of parking
Excellent service, excellent meals, beware large portions. I had lamb shank, it was delicious, husband had fish and chips, mum had roast chicken a small portion, but still large. Puddings apple pie and custard. Just lovely.
Yey, I have been out out. Been to King's Reach before lockdown and was impressed then. Still feel the same. Still a warm welcome and great service. Hand sanitiser as you wait to be seated. Tables spaced accordingly, and total table service. Servers are still pleasant and attentive although there is a slightly new way of doing things. Reduced menu but still a wide variety of food to choose from. The food was hot and tasty. My steak was cooked to perfection, well done chef! Beer garden open and a clear 7 point instruction board as you go in. Well done guys, impressed and thank you
Food was very average but service was very good.
All the food was very over done
Decent food. Popular with locals. Good covid 19 adherence.
Nice food all the party enjoyed their meal. Was very busy but not to long a wait for food to come out.
Lovely atmosphere, great care over customers (hand sanitisers easily accessible), fantastic food, great outdoor space too.
Good food, good service and plenty of space round the tables so you didn't feel you were in other peoples conversations!
Nice place, normal pub grub, nothing incredibly special. Always seems to be a rotation of new staff, every time we pop in we're told to wait for an experienced staff member to appear and seat us. Nice atmosphere though, nice they allow dogs inside the front.
Portion sizes have gone really small not worth the money
Nice place, caters for dogs in the bar area and food is served quickly.
Loved it food good staff very good BRILLIANT establishment
Not overly impressed, after being shown to table, had to wait ages even to be offered a drink and menu.
Our table of four found the food disappointing, bland and some over cooked
Nice venue but food was standard. Burger a little dry.
Not had a bad visit yet....
We have now used the kings reach multiple times and each time had some great food and good service.
It can get very busy but the food is worth the wait not normally very long even on busy days.
I normally pick and mix off the menu due to wife food allergies and my diabetic needs and they are always happy to do this.
Lovely food but very dissapointed at the lack of distancing...could of done with removing a few more tables...staff could have worn masks and putting a one way system in place..wont be back till this awfull thing is over.( please dust your shelves)
If you like waiting for food for 90 minutes, go for it! Happened twice!
Forth visit, still not great, but small improvements, still a long wait for food, and all three steaks we ordered were overcooked, with cold fries but the two fish and chips were enjoyed. The staff were much improved this time, we didn't have to ask someone to serve us after we had sat at the table for over an hour this time.
Went on a Saturday for a meal as family members had said Fridays are very busy. First interaction with waiting staff was good. After that it went down hill, we ended up collecting our own drinks from bar as none of the staff could be bothered to collect them. The first time anyone asked if everything was okay was when we paid the bill.
Lovely reasonably priced food with attentive waitresses nicely set out dining & bar area with a large outdoor seating area friendly for children & dogs
Tasty food, lovely decor and good service. Only our second visit, but food is vastly improved since the opening weeks. We will be back.
Food delishious servive freindly but a little slow but all round good experience.
Went here for Sunday lunch. We had to wait over 10 minutes after our booked time, we had an elderly lady with us and no where to sit. The food was very good quality and we really enjoyed it. The cookie dough ice cream did not live up to its name, it actually turned out to be ice cream with burnt cookies in instead of cookie dough! With some small improvements this could be a really nice pub
Friendly staff great atmosphere. Went the with my dog and he had a great time. Highly recommend to anyone with our without for legged friend.
Can have long waiting times of waiting for food during the evenings on the weekend but as the place is very friendly we did not mind
I've been here three times. Today was the last.
First time, hair in my meal - lovely.
Second time, burger was so greasy it made the buns soggy and had to use about 10 napkins just to attempt to eat it. Still couldn't eat it.
Third time, today - chicken and chorizo skewers with rice and salad. Well it looked nice if you were a child, 2 bits of chicken on a skewer? Two. TWO little bits of chicken on a skewer, leaving half the skewers empty.
Asked the waitress straight away, where's the rest?!
"That's how its served" she replied.
Ended up sending it back and going hungry.
Well won't be going there again and wont be recommending it to anyone.
If you want something greasy, cheap and interested in making money theres a McDonalds about 5 minutes away. You'll get a better meal there.
(Least they managed to serve my beer cold)
1star for that.
Polite waiter but poor food. Would not recommend to friends.
Large car park, and a good looking pub. They have Heineken alcohol-free which is great for me as I was a driver and can't stand Beck's Blue.
The roast dinner was huge, but a bit bland. Except for the chicken which was shockingly good.
The starters were great too.
Food was lovely but service to be desired, shame as i was looking forward to my first visit. Stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes, I asked our waitress what drinks they did other than alcoholic was told there wasnt any so opted for the non alcoholic choices on the menu. She didnt seem intrested in serving us at all. I wasnt asked how I wanted my steak when I ordered, then I over hear same waitress go through other drinks with other guests and then explain the different menus to another guest.
Good atmosphere, reasonably priced and good pub food
Have been here for food around 8 times since it opened. Aside from one of those times where the food was overcooked, it has been great. Staff at the beginning seemed lively, though there does seem to be a high turnover. Occasionally staff aren't in a good mood. The one bad experience was mid week and it wasn't busy.
Can't fault great food very reasonable prices very friendly staff sticky toffee pudding was the best I have had in a long time would recommend thanks
Normally really good but this time got my meal completely wrong then got the meal wrong again and then was giggled at when told waitress it was wrong, had the sweet potato curry which was so hot my mouth went numb and could not eat, was given the meal for free but spoilt my sisters birthday a bit.
There is an outside bar ,friendly staff. Good place to visit.
Restaurant is clean with friendly staff. Service can be a bit slow at busy times. It seems a lot bigger inside than you might first expect. Plenty of seating outside too for those warm summer evenings. Menu could do with a bit more choice. All in all a nice place to eat with family or friends.
Very friendly staff willing to serve and attentive to your needs, food good good, well presented. Enjoyable experience, will certainly go again.
Great experience as usual. Good arrangements for keeping everyone safe during this pandemic. Also the pets love the outdoor sitting area.
