TL:DR; One of the best Amusement Parks we've ever been to.

What a wonderful family friendly Amusement Park, something for everyone from tame to terrifying. KD is by far the best park we've ever been to in the US and Europe.

We went on a weekday toward the end of Summer (last wk Aug), and the park was quieter than it would be early Summer or weekends, i.e limited queues on rides - max 10mins!.

We've a 2 yr old and a 7 yr old (importantly now over 48" high so makes all but the most thrilling rides - only 2/3 he couldn't go on), and the park had them both occupied all day long. Fabulously clean, we didn't see any trash. Fabulously run, EVERY single staff team member played host. As soon as we had our park map out we had any passing staff member asking if they could help, this is an exceptionally good touch.
Being cynical I half expected Snoopy/Peanuts theming to be naff. This couldn't have been further from the truth, all the rides were bedded into their spaces, well thought out, clean, well maintained and well run.
Thrill rides were just that, all coasters good but Intimidator one of the finest rides I've ever been on for airtime, G's pulled, vertical drop, constant high speed and overall adrenaline hit.

Splash/Soak park equally fabulous. Again, rides great for all ages/heights, queues minimal and everything clean wth lifeguards everywhere and incredibly active. LOTS of seating, great changing facilities and showers, loads of secure lockers (albeit expensive at $13 for the day), tonnes of shaded areas and once again, everything well spaced out across a beautifully landscaped and well maintained space.

Finally, food and drink prices are high, as with all parks, recommend buying a refillable - take the hit once but drink lots all day long.

In summary, the best park we've ever been to. Glorious.

Rides are good but everything else has gone downhill since cedar point took over. They no longer have bins to drop your stuff before you ride a coaster. You have to pay $2 for lockers every time you ride now which is ridiculous. Food is crazy expensive and the park is dirty. The water park is the worst. I don t think I ve gone once without seeing a water and poop bloated diaper on the ground or band aids floating in the wave pool. The staff is so unfriendly at some of the places too. Wait times have doubled. It also doesn t make sense you can t wear a swim suit out of the water park but people wear way less that that walking around the rest of the park. I will drive the extra miles just to go to Busch Gardens.

Prices are outrageous but that is to be expected at a amusement park. Even so there are deals to be found on ticket prices. The park itself is great for kids and adults. Make sure you have a plan for yippy pool great, the lockers cost $30.00 to rent

King's Dominion is fun year round for the whole family. Great rides, great prices, and a convenient location, now with the added bonus of a winter holiday attraction opening this year. Best value: gold pass with an endless refill drink. With these items, parking is free, and often so are full day trips, where you can eat a packed lunch in the parking lot, and pay one flat fee to drink soda in the park all season. We always invest in these, and it saves us a LOT of money every year.

Enjoyable but very pricey for food, this was my first time going and I wasn't ready to see the price of $40 for a pizza that's not gourmet, $16 for 2 slices. They can do better with the food prices ijs, a standard candy apple was $10. I think NOT.... THESE ARE MY OPINIONS AND IM NOT UP FOR A DEBATE

I was extremely afraid of roller coasters, but then I realized it was the feeling of my organs rising that bothered me and I was able to calm myself down and realize that it's only a few seconds of your life down a drop, and here, those few seconds will feel amazing. Garuanteed. I can ride anything!

Regardless of the prices of food and drinks, Kings Dominion is definitely a fun place to go to whenever you want to leave RVA for a day. The best parts of the theme park are Soak City (opens during the summer), the Arcade, rides (despite me having acrophobia) and Planet Snoopy. I recommend this place to those who grew up with Peanuts Comics. ;)

Im in here today. Rides are breaking down, waiting for rides for hour and half just to be told ride is broken. But thats not the only one. Safari section were closed. I went to talk to customer service "saran" she said on sunday rides are expected to be broken down. I tokd her what make you think its ok for you to say that and what makes them think i feel safe to get on any next rides when more than one rides down and some section closes. Wasted my money and time. We will never return or recommant to anyone. I used to love this place

Great place to bring the family for fun. The season passes are reasonably priced and include Winterfest, which is new for the 2018 season. They also offer a free Pre-K pass for kids 5 and under which is also valid for Winterfest. Kings Dominion has enjoyable events throughout year, especially around the holidays and in the summer. The park is kept in good shape and always appears clean. The main drawbacks for me are wait times and rowdy, younger crowds at night. Wait times are mostly an issue in Planet Snoopy. We've never had the meal plan since our kids are younger, but if you have older kids and plan on eating at the park when you go, I've been told it's a good value.

Beautiful day to be at KD. Lots of shade. However if you plan to go to the Dinosaur Adventure, make it your first stop they close at 7pm due to not having lights in to area. Drink cups are totally worth it!

We can spend the entire day here! So much fun at ever turn and tons of yummy food to choose from. Season pass is definitely a must! It is open all summer! Rides are open for spring break and every weekend after spring until summer starts. Tons of Halloween fun and during the beginning of winter they have an amazing winter fest, most rides are still open, tons of music everywhere, ice-skating, and fake snow! Fun for the entire family!

Lots of fun, Boardwalk Fries were delicious, the people here work HARD. Everyone inside the park was wonderful. The people who scan your body before you come in were pretty awful. Other than that it was a good time. I would ask for more security though and maybe some people to help direct the flow of traffic, a lot times I felt like I needed more protection from the other customers- the world is different now. A lot of people are hostile just because they see it on television or they dont know how to properly articulate thier true feelings. I wont go back- but for everyone making a trip there, go early, wear comfortable shoes, and be prepared to have a good time and hear a lot of unattended little kids cussing like sailors and standing in the way. Great French though. Boardwalk Fries- to live for.

This place has changed so much. The Volcano closed, Area 51 FOF was closed, you have to pay for lockers now, the hotel on the property no longer offers shuttle service to the park since they are not owned by KD anymore. My family and I used to go every year. Now I'll never go again. Its a shame.
