Probably one of the best hotels in Dar es Salaam. The staff is amazing. Very proffesional and very polite. The rooms have a nice view, they are comfortable and cozy. They offer a nice pool area and phenomenal dining. Sunday brunch would have to be my favourite, they serve a large variety of well made food and drinks.

Wow, there's this saying tells "Go east or west, home is the best". It was my gratitude to be back at home yesterday. I can't tell enough how I love being at Hyatt Regency. It's spectacular and amazing to be here again, there was a meeting Hangzhou-Dar es salaam cultural and tourism cooperation promotion marketing. I'm glad I was warmly welcomed starting from the gate keeper, the security person and reception by showing me the conference hall. The meeting was well organized after that we headed to Oriental restaurant where we had our buffet lunch then here was my favorite part, for the love of food Hyatt fulfilled my passion they have a delicious food ever tasted before. I met the coworkers Osman and Magreth Mgoma who helped me in a great deal. Thanks, I'm looking forward to be back at home next time. Cheers :)

Ride the elevator all the way to the top and enjoy the views from the level 8 rooftop bar. With a 360 degree view of the harbour and city skyline, there's no better place to watch the sunset and view ships dock from the indian ocean.

Wonderful Place in a wonderful country of Peace. I...

Wonderful Place in a wonderful country of Peace. I spent my time here in September and in October. I felt at home and warmly welcome. the new management - Hyatt, and its entire staff seems to care about all people regardless of their background etc. this is wonderful. I usually check in under disguise as a local woman (depending on which country i am in). This time, i had my Islamic veil on and with local sandals (malapa in sawahil) - just to see the first impression of staff. To my surprise, i was given a red carpet reception from the porter who opened the taxi door for me, to the security guard who cleared my bags, to the door bell-lady who gave a warm shikamoo mama and the reception crew who were all smiles and hash hash:). I was so pleased with the way I was received, respected and warmly welcome through the entire process! Please keep it up. Rooms have been refurbished and they are impeccable. Staff seems very motivated compared to my previous interaction with them. A new Chef from Tunisia will make your diet regime go wrong - the meals are so palatable you won't care about being in diet - I kept saying, just eat, the go to the gym later:): meals are fresh and healthy choices are plenty. Overall very well managed by very competent team. As they say, first impression stays for ever! keep it up..

Absolutely great hotel in beautiful place

Absolutely great hotel in beautiful place

I honestly can say that the best experience I had in Dar es Salaam was at the hotel. Everything was great - the room itself till, the pool area, the gym, the breakfast with great food and diversity (I had fried bananas, try it ;)
If you have to leave early the only food you can have is the continental breakfast as they call it, no take away food...
When you go outside the hotel you are hunted by different types of sellers of everything but on the territory of the hotel you are safe. Try to get the conversation long enough to reach the hotel, don't stay still.
If you want to take a boat to Zanzibar, the station is 10min walk to the right of the gates.
There is a great bar terrace on the roof of the hotel with rally amazing view, try it. Also, there is a club back door.

Room Tip: Ask for the ocean view, you will never regret.
