The Oval, known for sponsorship reasons as the Kia Oval,[2][3] is an international cricket ground in Kennington, in the London Borough of Lambeth, in south London.[4] The Oval has been the home ground of Surrey County Cricket Club since it was opened in 1845.[5][6][7] It was the first ground in England to host international Test cricket in September 1880.[8][9] The final Test match of the English season is traditionally played there.

In addition to cricket, The Oval has hosted a number of other historically significant sporting events. In 1870, it staged England's first international football match, versus Scotland.[10] It hosted the first FA Cup final in 1872,[11][12] as well as those between 1874[13] and 1892.[14] In 1876, it held both the England v. Wales and England v. Scotland rugby international matches and, in 1877, rugby's first varsity match.[15] It also hosted the final of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

Visited the Oval last night T20 game. I found the experience a rip off. Very expensive 6.50 for pint of beer, which was 25 per cent froth. I know we all need to make a living, but not all in one night ! Come on Surrey play the game and stop ripping us off, we can only take so much. Very disappointing experience.

An historic venue to watch cricket. The concourse gets ridiculously crowded during the lunch and tea breaks in play. Drink isn't overly expensive, was very disappointed in the "wood fired pizza" which was very poor quality and expensive too.

I usually go their for nets. All in all good experience. 4 star cause there is no drinking water facility around nets and from this year they started to give 5 mins less then your allocated time slot. So if you hire it for an hour and you'd get 55 mins.

Love it

Cricket at its most accessible in the heart of London. Every seat has good views and its easy to navigate your way around the stadium. Could be more food and drink outlets as during matches the queues can be long. Also some healthier food options would be welcome. Don't want only fried food.

only visit here during international fixtures, but always a great venue. plenty of food on offer for different tastes and often some interactive stalls. easy to get to with the tube satiation merely metres away.

It was so much fun to watch a cricket match live, this iconic venue is really cool and you can feel the excitement, I would recommend to go with someone that understands the game if you don't (I didn't, and still don't to be honest) but it was very good fun to understand it then while watching. Also very fun is the excitement of catching a ball... I didn't but saw people doing it, and in style!
