A classic and traditional sporting venue with the most expensive I've ever seen!
Really enjoyed visiting The Oval, hope to be back soon
Always a great atmosphere, good cricket and easy transport
Excellent ground, had a great day at the cricket. Good facilities in the ground, very little waiting at the food or drink stalls
Great atmosphere and great cricket. What more can you ask for?
A great place to go for a variety of reasons. Iconic in it's own right, it is the place to go to watch Cricket in London. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and the stands offer a variety of viewing advantages.
Inside, the facilities are pleasant and I can recommend using the rooms for business meetings and conferences as they offer facilities for these purposes.
Parking is a nightmare, id recommend getting national express as tube station will be full at end!! Parking available at streets but expensive to park! Traffic is a nightmare on match days! Took me 4 hours to get from Leicester to London!!
Lovely venue, helpful staff, easy to get to short walk from Oval Underground Station
Excellant service
Signage could be inproved
Very nice visit to the oval for the vitality blast cricket. Friendly crowd, good food and great entertainment with me and my companion leaving having a good time. Can only give 4 stars due to limited drinks options for those not able to drink alcohol, but will be happy to raise this to 5 should there be at least one non alcoholic beer available to buy.
Rain affected game after over 2 hours travel watched 1 ball
Saw men trying to hit balls with bats. Quite entertaining. Good fish n chips
Nice built ground.one of the oldest in the world. Must visit
Family enclosure was a fantastic experience, my son loved it. Easy access, great help from staff, seats were comfortable... And Surrey won! Thank you all
Done some work there all week staff are great (all except one groundsman bad tempered and no manners) good food available lovely pitch
Fantastic place to watch test cricket but spaces behind the stands very crowded at lunchtime.
Lovely stadium with a beautiful view from Peter may stand!!
Lovely cricket ground. Small stadium atmosphere in a big city
Small plastic seats with limited leg room for eight hours.. not a very comfortable day watching cricket... and it rained!
We were at the Whisky tasting run by The Whisky Lounge. Welcomed with a glass of whisky and ginger, then given a glass to sample different whiskies from exhibitors. Some were more friendly than others, we weren't able to try a lot of them because the people running the stalls were 'selective' about who they engaged with. The Jameson rep was very interesting. However, the experience was made for us by the Fever Tree stall and in particular Mark, who was so friendly and informative. Love the ginger with orange and ginger ale flavour.
Good place for a conference (even the Home Secretary agreed today).
We were seated on one of the best stands which is Pavillion for the India - Australia Cricket World Cup Match 2019 - Loved the ground as it had clean washrooms throughout the match, amazing security but the only thing which was a little annoying was the one hour long lines to get food, it would be nice if there was a provision of having more number of stalls knowing the number of people who were going to be present for the match. Overall it was amazing and a wonderful experience!
Had a good time watching the game from Lakers balcony.. a dream fulfilled
A nice ground, easy to get to, 1 min walk from Oval tube station. Food to purchase is quite decent. Gents needs attention, black mould growing on wall under each hand drier - horrible
Early stages of the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Two games in a week to watch Bangladesh v South Africa and then New Zealand. Great atmosphere.
Review of the Oval as an events venue - been a couple of times for large work events and it's been very good.
Small ground let's you get close to the boundary and the action. Good access to food and drinks
Very good facilities in the stadium. Well organized. Automatic vendor machine doesn't work. Lots of space to go out and in.
Enjoyed the match which was playing, but food and drink overpriced!!
Place of cricketing history and current cricket both at international and county level
Nice Mgmt of traffic and tfl underground. Just that when the sporting event finishes there are lot of private pickup buses on the main road that blocks the whole traffic ...but that chaos is only for 45mins...and it can be organised better by using nearby park.. I would suggest people to avoid that road when the sport finishes...
But overall a good place to go.
It's The Oval! Such history in such a fantastic place. Great place for a conference
I poorly understand the rules of this game, but the place defends the impression and smells WB
I went to see some cricket and it was brilliant the atmosphere, the food was priced reasonably and of course the ground was easily accessible
One of the prestigious cricket ground in the world. One can also visit to go around by buying tickets online or booking any tour.
I attended an all day conference here & enjoyed my time. Very comfortable and easy to get round with easy access for everyone including wheelchair access.
For the occasion it would be 5 stars, the view from the stands certainly is, but under the stands it is cramped and the way they have the weird islands blocking your route to the toilet almost caused a crush due to the size of the crowd. They need to rethink the facilities for matches of this importance (opening match of the world cup-England v South Africa)
Went for 1st day of test match. Very good facilities. Bit crowded under cover when it rains.
A truly amazing cricket stadium to see some quality cricket with a pitch that favours the batsmen. Great views from most angles but the best are from Pavilion or Vauxhall end.
Amazing atmosphere. Easy to get to your seats. Well organised so the queues are never too big. Loved it
Hidden away in sleepy Kennington, The Oval is a cracking venue to catch some of the world's best cricketers clash. You'll be lucky (or rich) to catch an International Test here, but Surrey play plenty of T20 during the late spring and summer months.
Extortionate price of wine, unable to take own alcoholic drinks in.
Awesome cricket venue, full of charm and history yet still being modern and functional. A perfect mesh.
Had a great time playing a cricket tournament with OCS
