Excellent food and service. Had the seasonal seafood cioppino, it was amazing.

5/6 of the dishes we ordered were drowning in grease. The filet mignon was swimming in dressing and the crab cakes were served cold. Waitress was rude. Left unsatisfied and annoyed.

Have been a long time patron of this restaurant. This past weekend I attempted to order some food to take home as I have done on many occasions. Their website said nothing about stopping take out/pick up. Their staff that answered the phone was rude when I questioned when it changed and mentioned it isn t on the website. I think this is a poor decision to not inform the public more. It is also a poor decision to not train staff to be more polite. It is unfortunate for the business, we had a sizeable purchase to make.

Nice place, good food and service. Burgers seems to be the most popular the one time I was there.

Outstanding food and service! The Kelly family is a great local operator. They are killer good at take-out. Go To's are burgers, fish tacos and spinach salad!

This is the best place to get steak in the area. I've gone several times and the steak is always cooked exactly as ordered. The sides aren't always exciting, but they are always really well cooked and compliment the steaks.

While driving home to Bellefonte with my Kellys order wafting through the air, I realized how much has changed. Truly great meals had to learn how to travel. Sean and the staff have become my favorite travel agents
Now time for our cocktails beside the fireplace, and after a proper respite it was time to plate our meals. This is the time you realize the importance of the packaging.
Properly warmed plates received our entrees, one of halibut cheeks and the other of sea scallops. The still crispy asiago crusted halibut cheeks maintained their sweet flavor and firm texture. Sea scallops perfectly seared with a ginger sauce held the balance avoiding overdone.
The staff has overcome the challenges of today to create, at least this reviewer, a beautiful at home experience.

Best food in State college! Great homemade soup, hearty meals and wonderful service. A must try and frequent regular stop.

Showed up for dinner. The place was half empty and we were told that cant seat us since the kitchen was too busy. They said we can sit at the bar but not at a table. Not sure why you can order food at the bar and not a table but oh well. Faccia Luna made out and got our business

The food is incredible - everything we tried was perfect. They also have great music, which is not something I usually notice in a restaurant.

Food is always good. Our waitress was a riot--made our visit amazing. They take reservations!! A go to for a wide range of eaters!

The seafood chowder was delicious. And so was the crab cake sandwich. Portion we're generous. Atmosphere was standard but clean. Very nice staff and they have personal video menus with fun games to keep the kiddies entertained. All in all a very happy experience.

Best steak & seafood in the State College area... a little pricey, but worth it for the area

The restaurant has really good vibe. All the appetizers that we ordered were great. Sandwich is pretty normal. I have higher expectation but I understand this is a steak house not a popular deli shop.

Excellent quality food. Fish was fresh, and there is plenty on the menu for everyone. Just be cautious with spicy foods, if you are sensitive, they go heavy on certain dishes.

I took my wife here to celebrate her birthday. Our experience was amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We were seated, enjoyed an appetizer, salads and main course and were walking out the door in about 45 minutes. We would have tried dessert but we were completely full. Will definitely be back again.

Awesome. Strict adherence to social distancing. 100% mask wearing of staff. Excellent meal.

Steak was great on its own, without any sauce. Mashed potatoes were great and veggies were not soggy.

Tried their takeout for dinner today. I picked up, the order was ready on time, and the food was excellent.

Every COVID-19 dining experience is weird but Kelly's made it enjoyable as possible. We dropped off our freshman at Penn State and decided to treat ourselves to our first dinner out in 5 months. We were not disappointed. The waitress was excellent and we ate on the back patio. They were conscientious, cleaned every surface and all patrons were masked when walking around. The food was excellent.

Now here's the weirder part: the bar next door named The Bar. We were told we had about a 20-minute wait and that we could go next door, get a drink and they would text me when the table was ready.

Their clientele couldn't be more different and I was even told it's the same owner. We walked over with masks on and the crowd of a dozen or so patrons sitting out front were clearly not happy to see us. I've lived in lots of places, deal with all sorts of people, but we were clearly unwelcome.

Not to say the bartender wasn't great and glad to see us. She helped my wife choose a cider and I bought a few craft beers. Walked out to the patio and holy cr@p; stared down again. I'm glad my mask was still on because I may have actually been laughing at that point. This was bizarre.

Found a table, pounded one beer, started another when the dude with the blue, shoulder-length hair in biking leather came up to the table and stared at me, my beer, then me again. Then walked away. Yah, I got the message - no polo shirts allowed.

TL;DR Kelly's was really good, avoid The Bar next door.

The service is terrific and the food is always wonderful. The sesame crusted ahi tunu is superb.

Expensive fine dining. Service, being polite, was diffident... Food was excellent however.

First time there it was hard to decide what to order I tried the bison burger really good one had the seafood chowder she said it was the best ever. Overall it was a great lunch and not bad priced with great service.

Really good food!!! Not crazy priced either.. we had the goat cheese spinach salad, and the lobster ravioli, boy that was awesome!!!! Another must get when we are back in town

Went to Kelly's this week for a birthday dinner with my family. We had reservations, when we arrived the place as pretty empty. We were taken to the bar area to a table and when I asked to sit in the dining area, not the bar I was told there was a cover charge. I was surprised by this since there was no entertainment and the place was not busy.... I don't understand the cover charge to for customers purchasing 4 meals, drinks etc... am I missing something??? The food was delicious and the service good, but I was turned off by this and probalby won't go back.

The restaurant was noisy but the food was very good.

First time at Kelly's. I ordered the Halibut cheeks! Fantastic !!! Also had the chowder, again fantastic. My daughter ordered the walnut brie salad. It was tasty. Well worth every cent!

Terrible for take out . rude response when I tried to order an entree to go. Options were limited to only sandwiches. Take out box very flimsy and I was charged the wrong price. Upcharge for an item I ordering restaurant before with no problem.

Quality food and an enjoyable dining experience. Steaks are good as well as the Cajun Chicken Pasta.

Great food and atmosphere. Salmon entrees are superior, also their tuna entrees are a favorite of mine. Pricy but worth it.

Very good food. Excellent baked beans. Seafood buckets fun with Senegal varieties. Killer chocolate cake.

Fantastic steakhouse! However the cocktails are not so fantastic, especially for the price. I would definitely go again. It is recommended to get reservations though, it can get really busy there.

After driving by here a few times I've always wanted to try this place. I'm glad I did! It was more of a fine dining experience than I expected but I think they lived up to it. Our family of 4 had a great meal, the kids were given tablets to choose their food with and play games on while they waited, the service was outstanding, the atmosphere was very nice and the food we had matched the price I believe. I will definitely be putting Kelly's on my list of special occasion restaurants!

Fantastic! From hostess to dessert, we had a wonderful experience. Amazing flavors and a large selection on the menu and wine & draft lists. Our service was exceptional. The atmosphere was perfectly adaptable; nice enough for a special occasion, and casual enough for stopping in after the game. We loved it and can't wait to go back!

Steak melted in my mouth and the crab cake was delicious as well.

Elegant but comfortable. Appears to be a lot of repeat regional customers and repeat travelers. Kelly's burger and Pinot Noir both($21) quite satisfactory, as was service at the bar. Even with a packed parking lot on a Wednesday night, tables are nicely spaced and environment is conducive to conversation.

The quality of the ingredients is good, but the cooking method is average for this price
