Steak was amazing but served warm. Ask them to heat up served again warm. Potatoes were good but slopped on my plate and they tried to slap a 40 percent gratuity on us. Counting the baby having a beer and my mother who only had dessert because she had a meal earlier in the day. Really? Did not ask about dessert of coffee. Expensive...wouldnt mind but along with a good price should be good service.

We had a fabulous Crab Pot in a comfortable and safe outside seating at KELLY'S Steakhouse in Boalsburg. The waitress was professional and masked. The cocktails were taystee and promptly served and the crab ravioli were outstanding. In addition, the crab boil was one of the best that I have ever had. I highly recommend KELLY'S. It's time to come out on the warm nights we have been having.
Staff is always nice even when they have a full house. I can see why they have a lot of good reviews.
This was the best steak house is Pa. Drinks were perfect, crab and artichoke dip was great, stuffed salmon and steak were the best we have ever had! We are 3 hrs from home but are adding this to our list of favorites. Thank you!

I went here for my dad s birthday and the food was really excellent. We got seated right away and I couldn t eat the bread because I m gluten free but it smelled really good. I got the mahi mahi special of the day with buerre blanc, and it was awesome. My whole family was happy with their meals. Thank you so much for making it a great experience.

Very poorly run, the quality of this restaurant has definitely taken a turn for the worse recently.
Calamari is splendid with a slight sweet and spicy dipping sauce that you must try. Perfect for sharing. The salmon was presented with some of the best roast potatoes and broccoli I've had. Plates were warmed and kept food at perfect temp.
More like the old fashioned Supper Club place than anywhere else in SC. Love the fish tank. Good food and big comfortable booths. Pretty quiet for a big place. Good drinks too.
I went to Kelly's steak and seafood for lunch today. They had a very very menu. Looks like a lot of excellent different choices for lunch. They had great salads that could be topped with salmon or shrimp or chicken. The service was good. The food was ready very quickly. All in all I would highly recommend it.

The food was excellent as always, but my party requested special seating because we were celebrating a birthday and we ended up at the very,very noisy bar. When asked if there was another seat we were told no! Period. We could not hear ourselves talk.

Fish Taco (Mahi Mahi) was very good here. Waiter was an enjoyable bloke, though not very attentive. One suggestion. Have bus person use CLEAN water & soap EVERY TIME to clean tables. Tabletop was so goopy that the silverware and plates actually STUCK down to the surface, strongly. Not good for an otherwise good experience.
Food and service was very good....however did not feel welcomed by the bar hostess at lounge entrance.
We had a family dinner here Saturday night. Luckily we made reservations because it was very crowded. We was led to our table and then left alone to arrange the table settings. Our waitress finally showed up and was very strange. She never offered us beverages just poured water. No beverage was listed on the very hard to see menu either. Lighting is very dark making things hard to see. Prices are very high for the area and the portions are almost ridiculously small. Food was good but nothing I couldn't do at home. One and done for our family.

Let me preface by saying I love Kelly's; had a wonderful dinner there last year celebrating with a friend, and we decided to repeat the experience this year. Not sure if this was just a bad night or if the food has really changed that much. We both ordered the Kelly's cut filet. One medium-well, one medium rare. Both were done medium and dry as a bone. We needed the extra steak sauce! Last year's filets were a whopping 2 inches thick; this years were struggling to hit 3/4". The potatoes were sticky, and while I love al dente green beans as much as the next person, they need to be warm to be enjoyed.
All in all, a little disappointed; again, perhaps just a bad night. I still love the place.
A nice steak house for when you're visiting the State College area. Prices are inflated for what you get but choices are limited out here.

The greasiest food I have ever seen. Everything was served swimming in grease. The food came out cold. The sauce is salad dressing. They serve the meat drenched in cheap, generic brand salad dressing. I would not eat there again if it was free. Absolutely disgusting. Go to the Field. Do. Not. Go. Here.
Nice place, waitress very friendly. The food came very fast so we didn't have to wait long. It has large tables for large family group or friends. Food was great all to its own taste.
Tried the calamari fries and it was good, soft tender but not over cooked, the dip was flavorful, the steak MR yummy no sauce needed, ordered the wild mushroom sauce.... Not really all that good for the $2 extra, tasted like a bland cream of mushroom sauce, the vegetables tender, not undercooked but a knife was needed to cut them and the mashed potatoes well didn't taste the garlic and reminded me of unflavored boxed potatoes(mine are way better). Then the scallops the sauce was not my first choice, the rice just soaked up the sauce, and same vegetables, tasted and cooked the same. Considering the steak and seafood choices so far, much better then the rest. Just not the best I've ever had. But the steak and the scallops were definitely worth the stop, to bad they didn't come together.
Walked in with my two girls on New year's Eve at 5:00.. not a table being used.. told us if we didn't have reservations they would not seat us.. they are inconsistent at best. Will never eat there again. Hostesses are always snobby.
The Flat Iron steak was perfect and my wife's Chicken Macadamia with Japanese bread crumbs was beyond excellent. Great service too.
First time stopping. Walked into the bar part and it was full. Went to the hostess station and was told that there was a 25 minute wait (this was a Monday at 6:30). Luckily a spot opened at the bar. Ordered the Bison burger. It was great and cooked perfectly. Service was fast and the bartender was friendly. Definitely will be stopping by again to try the actual dinners. Suggestion for anyone CALL AHEAD FOR SEATING. Nearly a third of the tables had reserved signs on them.

Stopped in for lunch and I can definitely say they have excellent food, a comfortable atmosphere, along with very friendly staff.
Hubby had the Kelly burger and was extremely pleased with his meal.
I had the filet medallions. My compliments to the chef! The steak was perfect, the veggies were tender and flavorful and the potatoes were delicious.
Next time we re in the area we will definitely be coming back.
The appetizer steak medallions were very flavorful, my husband's steak was tender and moist, and my prime rib sandwich was amazing. We were immediately seated and the staff was attentive.

Such a wonderful dinner! A nice wine selection. Our appetizers is calamari and prawns were great. Dinner steaks and seafood for our table of 4 were all perfect. We will come again next year!

We were seated at a table outside, without a choice, even though there were a couple booths inside without the blue X (could ve been reservations to give them the benefit). Once seated, we waited for awhile before the waitress came over and she asked if anyone told us about the menu on the phone. Not having our phones on us (We re eating so don t take phones in - I know, that s so 1996), we told her no and it immediately seemed like it was a problem to bring us menus. From here on out the service was horrible - not once did she check in to see how our meal was. When she decided to take our plates (only one that was empty was the lobster ravioli), I told her my food was cold (not only cold one of 4 of us), and she honestly said oh, ok then left. Nothing more until the check. Food cold, service sucked, no thank you!
It's really expensive and the wait staff is hit or miss... but the food is amazing! The sandwiches are the only affordable thing on the menu, but they are really good too!

We've been here multiple times, and I've never had anything I didn't love! The reuben, the prime rib sandwich, and the crab cake sandwich are all awesome. Crab and artichoke dip is my favorite in the area. Highly recommend!

Perfection! While at a convention I had the pleasure of dining here twice and highly recommended you try it. They have great selections and everything I ate was prepared perfectly. Well balanced and great portions.
What a wonderful place! Everything was delicious...even had our 6 year old complimenting the salmon! The special Meatloaf Bomb sandwich was just pure comfort food. The Delmonico was perfect with their blue cheese sauce. My only regret is that we are only visiting and unable to come regularly.
Stars are based on waiting to be seated when I called from across the street and was told no wait, walked in one minute later and was told fifteen minute wait along with six other parties even though half the restaurant is literally empty, that s bad practice to lure you in with no wait, just sad but otherwise amazing
Do not get the seafood boil... it tastes like water, if it could be overcooked! The sausage in it tasted like rubber.. could not even swallow it. Our appetizer also tasted very bitter and overcooked. The food here is simply not good, but I added an extra star because our waitress was very kind about checking on our table. It's not her fault the food tasted bad. I like to eat at local businesses, and am very hesitant of giving this place such a low rating because it's a local place... however I am not feeling too great about paying $50 or so (before tips) for some of the worst food I've ever eaten. I couldn't even finish the meal and as someone who always finishes their plate because I don't like wasting money... that's saying something.
You don't come here for anything but steak but if you come here for that, you've come to the right place! Delicious steak, grilled veggies, and all the right beers to go with it

My girlfriend and I bumped into this place and Boy are we glad we didn't read any reviews first! The place was a little loud for lunch but that's because it was packed and the food was Excellent! Done in a timely manner and better the expectations. We love food and travel everywhere so we were pleasantly pleased!! Would come back if we weren't 2 hrs. Away!
