Excellent Italian food in Paradise. Eat there frequently. Two locations in Kapaa and Lihue. Both good. Recommended.

Unexpectedly good place. The outside is misleading and could use some work. A bit pricey for some of the dishes but very good overall

One of the few pasta places on the island but the quality is lackluster. A cheaper option than most restaurants in the area though.

One of the best lounges on the Island, this place has a very well stocked bar, friendly and efficient service and a good menu. If you are looking for a casual get together with friends, romantic dinner or just a place to enjoy a quality meal, I definitely recommend KP.

My favorite dish for a while now has been the Butternut Squash Ravioli, which is on special for their dinner menu. Their macaroni and cheese are to die for and they come with their amazing steak (marinated in their daily special sauce).

Lunch options are great for under $15, you can combine pasta dish with one of the means, salads or soups.

Overall great value, experience and atmosphere.

Very good. Bar had a nice ambience. Food was good -- maybe great if we ate in instead of carrying out. Reliable choice for dinner.

House Pasta was okay and not worth the price. Our server was friendly and timely, but it was cold inside and actually had to wear a jacket. Probably would not go back.

Italian food for kids. The price is low and the service is good. Also, the atmosphere inside the store is good, but the inside of the store itself is small, and when you go with a large number of people, it feels stuffy.

So good! Get the shrimp scampi (pictured), best I have ever had! Full of huge shrimp and the sauce is absolutely amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant could use some work so dont let it throw you off, the food is worth it!

Great food, a little pricey for pasta. Nice atmosphere but small tables in the restaurant. Nice staff, particularly when I left my eye glasses and the bartender saved them for me to pick up the next day - real friendly!

This place has a banana bread pudding that is the best thing I've ever eaten.

Kauia Pasta is a great place to stop for a reasonably priced (by Hawaii standards) meal.

The staff was friendly and incredibly talkative... our server gave us some great tips for hikes and adventures to check out.

The pasta was good- but the service and the banana bread pudding put this place over the top.

We stopped in three nights in a row to get our bread pudding fix. You've been warned.

Hit or miss with this place sometimes it's like an over priced olive garden, other times it's like an overpriced olive garden that the cooks were too high to cook... or even function.

One of the better meals we had while visiting the garden isle.

I love coming here for dinner their specials are so good!!. Tuesday night's is the best one. You get a king crab special that comes with loaded mash and asparagus with seasoned drawn butter and the crab legs are huge!. If you're on a date or with a friend I recommend 1 getting the legs and the other getting the steak which always so good!!. Me and boyfriend did that and we loved everything.

Pretty good food, the noodles were a bit too firm for my liking. But the portions were big and the service was great. We got right in and sat right down. Try the chicken parmesan with Alfredo.

It's closed down and has no sign so people keep showing up!

Kauai pasta was disappointing even though it has 4.1 rating on google. Food was average italian. Ambience is nice. People are nice. End of the day it is a restaurant and the food was only worth a 3 out of 5.

We ve been loyal customers for years. Not sure if we ll ever go back. Poor service which seemed rather intentional or amateurish . Food was served late & cold., appetizer was delivered to the wrong table with no apologizes or rectifieion . $200.00 wasted restaurant bill

Good rustic Italian! Son got a pizza bread with pepperoni on it that was light (Not dense) and delish. Hubby and I split chicken parmesan and a Caesar salad. This place manages to serve comfort food without it feeling too filling. I'd come here again and again!

Absolutely amazing. I wouldn't call it over the top, but definitely a treat. Masterful flavor combinations in both their food and drinks, I would be very regular patron if I lived on the island, and I will be making it a point to swing through, every time I make it over to Kauai. Highly recommend!!!!

Great food, and large portions. Don't let the lackluster front of the building throw you off. Excellent service and good atmosphere. The calamari was killer.

I like a very flavorful, tangy marinara sauce. Exactly what they serve.

We wanted a good place to eat and found this place. We were blown away by the food and staff. You must try the calamari. It's the best I have ever tried his is a must if anyone travels to Kauai Hawaii

I am rating our experience. I cannot tell you about the food. My husband and I attempted to go here on our honey moon and when we went in there was one table with people at it and no one even at the bar or working in the room. I was so disappointed we stood there looking around waiting and waiting....we finally left

Food was really good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Calamari was excellent. Just a note that everything we (3 couples) tried seemed on the sweeter side, including the Short Ribs & Pizza.

My wife and our best friends went their this week. Our wives are very serious food critics as my wife owns restaurants in Seattle and our experience here was perfect! Drinks were good, our server Brittany was knowledgeable, friendly and on top of her game. And so was the chef as everyone's food was perfect!

Food was good! We got House Pasta (good sauce, good portion) and Parmesan Fries (good but not amazing, we'd stick with only pasta next time). Great place to go if very hungry! You can get pasta for 15$. When we got in at 8pm we asked for a booth (2 were free) and the hostess said they were for reservations only. We stayed for over an hour and the booths stayed empty the whole time. Meh

Really great service, nice ambience but it did have more of an Olive Garden-y taste to the food.

Service can be iffy, especially in the lounge during lunch,but I have had some nice experiences.

The clam linguine and pesto with chicken was awesome. Limited beer selection but not a problem - the food is insanely good

Always a solid choice for pasta in Kapaa. The lasagna is a favorite!

We went to this place as a recommendation of a friend who lives in Kapaa. The food was decent, nothing spectacular, and seemed like the chef didn't have to try very hard. The artichoke and spinach dip was really cheesy, the focaccia bread could have used a bit more toasting, especially since the dip was so heavy. The special ribeye was pretty good, but the tomatoes and mashed potatoes left a bad taste in my mouth.

Great food at a fair price and a great staff. Service was wonderful and friendly.

Last night in Kauai and we wanted a good meal. Reviews were promising AND the services/food was as we hoped, even more!! We ordered food to go, to eat in our hotel room. AMAZING!! You won't regret the delicious food, great portion, and at a VERY reasonable price!!!

Super average food, wait staff wasn't that interested in us. Mediocre at best.
I would suggest finding somewhere else to go, it's just not worth the price.

We waited way to long before receiving our lunch when they weren't busy. The food tasted like it had been microwaved and was awful. If you want good Italian, go to Bobby V's.

Everything was PERFECT! The wife wanted a Miami Vice drink, the bartender didn t know how to make it. Instructed her how and it came out amazing!! Food was great!! Had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, wife had the Chicken Parmesan. Highly recommend!!

Standard food, nothing to rant and rave about. The tiramisu cheesecake is nice, the waitress was delightful, but the noodles were a bit of a letdown.

Service was good (minus being brought the wrong beer). Food was OK at best. Tasted like store bought pasta sauce with previously frozen food... Won't be returning.

Dinner was delicious even though we got no bread with our 2 pasta entrees. Kids penne pasta alfredo with shrimp came as an adult fettuccine alfredo plate so my 2 year old couldn't eat it there, it woulda been too messy, woulda been a war zone! lol We took it home to enjoy at a later time. My house pasta sauce was on point! Didn't enjoy the meatballs. It was pretty much just three plain meatballs not covered in any sauce on my plate. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Actually no, she was pretty much totally awesome! The atmosphere of the lounge always sets a lovely mood. All in all, dinner was good.

Excellent food. It was very tasty and all the ingredients are local. Staff was friendly and attentive.

We had to wait for half an hour before we could sit and we saw a lot of tables just being free while we waited.
After ordering, we had to wait longer than the people that came in way later. And that also was a long time. No apologies from the staff.
The food was bad, we thought. Didn't taste like much. Too bad, because we were really hungry and feeling like good food. A real Italian would be disappointed.

Really wish our service was better than 1 star because our food was great. We came here because our aunt/uncle know the owner and we wanted to check the food out. We had a middle aged dirty blonde curly haired girl as our waitress. Really wish I remembered her name to make this review easier.

Let me start off by saying I used to be a server/bartender so I am SUPER patient/understanding and always leave at least a 20% tip. It takes a lot to say I had terrible service, but we did.

First red flag, it took my boyfriend reminding her 3 times for his soda to actually get it.

Second (and biggest) red flag, I have celiac disease. As I'm sure you could guess it's pretty important I don't eat gluten. I told her I have celiac disease and she was not knowledgeable about the options I could eat what so ever. We kind of "guessed" back and forth on what I could eat and when I ordered the caesar salad as a side she said she would make sure it was gluten free before putting in the order. 5-10 minutes passed and she didn't mention anything, so I assumed we were good to go. Thank goodness the man who was running the food that evening (on Sept 13) noticed she put "no croutons" on the order. As he was about to pass it to me he said, "wait, no croutons? Does that mean you can't eat gluten? Because the dressing contains gluten." thank God for him because she NEVER checked with the chef like she said she would. Just put in the order and went about her business. Can't even blame it on how busy she was because she had 3 tables. After realizing I couldn't eat the caesar salad, he asks me if I'd like to order anything else and passes me the gluten free menu. THEY LITERALLY HAVE A GLUTEN FREE MENU THAT SHE DIDN'T GIVE ME. Thank goodness my actual meal was on the gluten free menu or that would have been two gluten contaminated dishes she would have served me if it wasn't for the food runner. When we told her I couldn't eat the salad because it contained gluten she didn't apologize. She said "ok." and walked away to another table. I had to yell "I'd like to order something else!" for her to come back.

Overall she was not attentive, not knowledgeable, not friendly, and made it seem like it was such an inconvenience to make sure I had a gluten free meal. I hope she was new because if she has worked there for awhile her service is just embarrassing. The bill was $150-$160 and we left her a $10 tip. That took A LOT for us to leave that low of a tip and I honestly wish we didn't leave her anything.

Overall, foods good. Staff is SO FRIENDLY. And one waitress is absolutely terrible. Wouldn't come back just because of her.

Nice place with good pasta. Got the eggplant Parmesan with pesto spaghetti. Big servings for a reasonable price.

Surprisingly good food top notch service and great atmosphere.

Good italian food with good service. Pros: menu has a great variety of meat and pasta choices. Our table had chicken parmesan, chicken alfredo, spaghetti Bolognese, and kid's pasta which were all tasty. Cons: indistinct environment with no view and floors were really slippery. Like, really slippery. When I mentioned this, the only reply was that some shoes react that way on their floors. I'm sure the response will be different after someone has a bad fall.

Had the small Caesar salad and the butternut squash ravioli. Both were good.

Pesto pasta unfortunately lacked pesto and flavor. Pasta does not even come with a salad. Bread was soggy and overly saturated with butter - you could squeeze it out like a sponge. The server was pleasant and attentive, but it was a long wait for food. Spinach artichoke dip very cheesy, but barely had spinach. Also, if you sit by a window, watch out for the shutters! They blew open striking me in the head. Disappointing experience.

We were having a bad night previous to coming here and this place really cheered up the mood!

Reading the description of 4.1 we decided to go. We then briefly took a look at the other comments and found in the 1 * comments, a lot of negative and what seemed to be accurate reporting, we decided to go in and see if that was right. Everything went downhill from there, we found the area had a urine smell to it, we ended up getting a different seat that smelt a lot better but then we had the calamari which was recommended and was horrible- dry, overcooked, the Greek salad was recommended and it was okay and the fettuccine alfredo with chicken was horrible, under cooked pasta, cold bread. After getting through that th check found and baby roach with it. That was the worst experience weve had in all our travels! Sad!! Avoid avoid avoid!

Stayed in Kauai.... food was so amazing my husband and I ate there 3 days in a row!!! pesto chicken amazing!! Homemade ketchup too amazing you'll never want grocery store ketchup again! Friendly and romantic

The food was delicious and the service was prompt. We especially enjoyed the appetizers we ordered, the calamari and the truffle fries. The Alfredo sauce was fantastic as well!

Good if you're in the mood for pasta. Chicken parm was good, but nothing special.
