The teenage life guards need a lesson in tact, but overall the kids seem to enjoy this place

Great prices, lots of changing rooms and very clean! My 2 year old had a blast will definitely return.

I just moved to Ottawa recently.

I was in the Leisure Centre asking if I can have a tour of the gym to see how the gym looks like and whether the equipment meet my needs. The receptionist (the black lady, not mean to offend)was impatient, and told me, I will have an orientation if I have the membership. Without the membership, I can't not have a look. Every gym in Kanata, they provide tour and even free trail (one day or one week)!

So I switched to Richcraft Recreation Complex. Fortunately, the staff was very nice and patient, they showed me the gym, explained all details I wanted to know, and even more information I didn't ask.

I am happy with Richcraft so far because every time I have good experience with the great staff. Don't want to go Kanata Leisure Centre and Wave pool again.

Good place but the restrooms were not very sanitized.

Love this place... Hot tub is actually hot (which is not true for other places :))... Not a big fan of the wave pool but kids seem to enjoy it a lot... We also enjoy zumba lessons with Brenda, she's the best!

Dirty change rooms. Also one of the female lifeguards names "Chris" either doesn't pay attention to the kids or she might suffer a short-term memory illness. She asked my son to measure himself on the way up the slide and 10 minutes later she asked to measure him while he was already on the bottom of the slide. Not sure if I would trust the lifeguards given that someone actually died in the wave pool in 2007. Lifeguards must not paid much attention to the young kids there.

Wave pool was fun , but a little crowded. Don't leave the little ones alone .10 and under .

Small basins for thw kids. Huge water alide! I love coming here with the family! Fun for everyone!

Went to the wave pool with my 3 children 2 weeks ago.We drove an hour to get there and arrived at 3:15.After we got into our suits we played in the pool for about half an hour then alarms went off and we were told we need to leave.The pool was closing down for swimming lessons at 4:00.We can come back at 6:30,but we would need to pay an additional $30.Seriously!!!!!Why were we not told this when we paid.So I just drove an hour so I could pay $30 to swim for 1/2 an hour.
When we left the man at the desk said that someone should have told us but there was nothing he could do.We called the next day and they said they would call us back.It has been 2 weeks with no phone call.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

Not a great place for lane swim, great place to bring kids though

You dont really know how great the staff are until your child is injured. My son smoked his mouth and put his teeth through his lip, so nothing serious, but the staff was patient and compassionate and did what they could to make him more comfortable. My son tripped and hit his face and it could have happened anywhere. We go here often and always have fun.

Fun when the waves are on & the water slide is super fun !

The pool waves are not that impressive. But a good place to be with the kids.

Still as amazing as it always was when I was a kid. Now my children are loving it there and making their own life long memories. Can't wait to go back again!

Fun place for families. Large pool with waves every ten minutes. Big hot tub and small sauna. Separate, shallow pool with toys for babies and toddlers. Large change rooms with showers and lockers. Check swim times and cost on the city of Ottawa website.

Great place for kids and adults alike. There's a wave pool that comes alive every 5 minutes.

So much fun swimming in the waves. My kids could live here!

Good place to take your kids of all ages from toddlers to teens

My 2 boys are taking swimming lessons here and enjoyed it very much. They like the pools are warmer than other city swimming facilities. Also close to highway and other restaurants.

Great place for kids. Due to the large volume of kids, the pool is not as sanitary as other pools. Also wave swim costs about an arm or a leg.

A bit dated however the gym area is big compared to other locations with good selection of equipment

Have forgotten this little Jewell. My 12/13 year olds loved it.

Awesome place my friend kid and him loved the slide and the waves were great and the hot tub area was nice and hot and relaxing for my joints universal changing area was nice and clean staff were nice and respectful and knowledgeable when needed help

Most places now have heated pools, water was freezing....

Pool water is a bit chilly but the slide and waves are a lot of fun

Moms in white bikinis made me forget about my kid, but hot damn if I didn't have a blast! The staff were super friendly and it seemed well taken care of.

My son does swimming lessons here and the facility is always clean and the staff is always friendly.

If you have gym membership with the city complex, it includes the wave pool as well.

Friendly staff and great sitting area on the side for snacking. Family change room is adequate.

Love the wave pool at kanata it is little bigger than the one in Orleans. But has some different activities.

I like the layout and that there are options like the hot tub and sauna, swim lanes and open swims. The staff are awesome, but I would really like to see some palm trees added. ;)

One of the best Indian meals I have had in Ottawa. Maybe anywhere.

Their wave pool is slightly warmer then others in town. They have a hot bath with water jets, like a super sized jacuzzi. And they have a sauna.

The facility and the amenities are very oudated compared to Goulbourn or Richcraft Community centres.

Wave swim and hot tub are a great place for the family to enjoy, relax, and have fun.

We had a blast here today! The wave pool is SO much fun for the kids, I would recommend bringing a personal-size tube to ride the waves for younger ones (but they do have boards there) ;) Love that they have a family/universal change room!

Only been to the pool for swimming lessons with my 4 year old. But for what I've seen it's a great place.

The location is easy to reach. Sauna room is good. Changing room is too crowded.

Very nice facility. Full complement of swimming activities, from free swim to Red Cross programs. They also have a couple of exercise rooms with equipment. Lots of parking space. Large locker rooms. Accessible.

Great staff, clean change rooms, clean pool, ans great prices.

Family change room is small, especially when compared to men's change room

It is always nice place to take the kids and have fun in the wave pool.. with few minutes in the hot tub at the end.. totally relaxing!!

I love this center, especially for the children's pool and swimming lessons. the children's pool is warm, with toys and water fountain. The instructures of the swimming class for children are very good and patient. My daughter loves to go to that pool.

I can only speak for the pool, which is great. Great waves, water slide, hot tub, sauna, kiddie-pool, and change rooms. I take my young ones often.

Great facility for most needs. Big variance in instructors, some being energetic and motivating and others provide dry instructions. The wave pool is loads of fun, however much of the equipment in the gym area require updating.

Great facility, love the cheap daytime swim for little ones, makes for a fun daytime activity.

Great indoor pool. My kids love the wave pool and water slide. The hot tub and sauna are perfect for the adults.

The pool itself is fun with the wave machine. The family washroom tends to be way over crowded.

They offer many classes. Theres a nice weightroom and cardioroom. The pool is nice! i dont like the fact that when i use the gym i have to go in the same changeroom as the pool! Other than that i love it!

Love the wave pool here tons of fun for family's and friends cheap too for what you get its 6 something for the wave swim and you get up to 4 hours of wave fun i can never spend 4 hours in the pool i usually have to leave early

Kids had so much fun! Great way to spend a snowy afternoon.

Getting long in the tooth (old) but a staple of Kanata life. Pool is still fun for kids and family but the gym needs a good update.
