Kameha Grand Bonn Review

Too impractical and uncomfortable. I'm not going to drive anymore.

If you feel like a pet at the reception and not like a guest, you are looking for another hotel. It's that simple today.

Modern room and view of the Rhine great and relaxing.
Long waiting times at the reception as well as breakfast (scrambled eggs from the bag and dry rolls) cloud the overall picture. At 160 / night including breakfast, I expected more. But unfortunately standard also in the upper price range in Germany (Bin business traveler) As in foreign countries such as UAE more quality at a comparable price range offered.
Clean and clean ambience throughout the hotel including parking garage.

Ok room good. No football at the bar. Room expensive, rest of the prices ok.

Super Abend mit top DJ und noch besserem Barchef in der purgold bar!
Am Samstag war ich mit meiner Freundin in der Bar des kameha. Der dj hat top Musik gemacht, der barchef Mathieu mit seinem Team den Abend perfekt abgerundet. Die Bar war komplett voll, der junge Barchef hat mit seinem Team alles im Griff gehabt und war trotz viel Arbeit sehr freundlich!

Attened the after work party, was quit nice and not overly expensive.

Already been there 5 times. And not for the last time

The staff was super friendly! The reception was excellent. The hotel is right on the Rhine promenade and the city center is very easy to reach by bus.

A very nice hotel. Clean and really nice rooms. In our room even had a moon on the wall, as lighting. The staff is very friendly, but not quite as attentive as possibly understaffed. All in all, very nice, just with a few small drawbacks.

Super service, free rental bicycles, but the breakfast is unfortunately too expensive

In all areas, from room to food to cocktails

Already at the check-in it started, it was a bit more going on and the lady was visibly annoyed. A short directions to the room was everything - no indication of dinner and breakfast.
Next was the room - as I have in 2 stars and private accommodation clearly clean rooms! See the attached pictures. "Disgusting" and "run-down" is unfortunately completely true here. Large coffee stains on the carpet in front of the TV (picture), dust on all lamps (bathroom and hall, you can hardly see on the pictures), desk "sticks" here are drink stands available (picture). Stains on the carpet in front of the bedside table (picture). Dust on the room lamp (picture with your fingers, only about 2cm wiped - not over the whole edge!). Glass shelves not wiped clean, in the corners you could see the movement when cleaning (picture) and also the bathroom was full of dust (picture). And finally, I opened the mini bar and there was a torn Snickers - the crack but not open by a guest (picture) ... One of them may happen, but this amount may not happen. So much for the rooms.

Dinner: barbecue buffet. Meat tough and dry, the two men on the grill visibly overwhelmed. Meat cut several times raw, then noticed that it is not ready yet. I sat with 2 others at the table, one of them brought chorizo 10 minutes before me, then me and then the third - these were all raw and therefore inedible with us! I approached the two on the grill, said that they were raw and need a little longer. I would take 2 again. I got a half burned (which was then even) and again one in the middle was raw. Also the quality and the taste of the other dishes was not what I know from Grillbuffets.

Cocktails: my friend had a mojito and said directly: "it tastes funny" - there were three people smelling the mint branch - we asked ourselves what was used because mint was not. The cabbage tasted like nothing. The cocktail itself was nothing. Too angry. Unfortunately, it went on with the other cocktails, mine was extremely bitter and in one was missing the brown sugar ... In addition, the beer drinkers had to wait forever for the draft beer and the foam was already completely gone. We looked at the clock - between tapping and serving not only passed with us more than 10 minutes fast!

Now I could go on with the breakfast, but I'll leave that now.

Conclusion: Once and never again, this hotel can not recommend.

I hope that the others also write reviews, because at night there were all sorts of complaints: leaking toilets, construction noise with room change and much more.

Beautiful infinity pool, overlooking the Rhine-river.
Sadly, due to Corona all hotel restaurants where closed (on Sunday and Monday). For us a disappointment, because the restaurans was one off the reasons coming to the hotel. With all restaurants open, we'll sure come back again

Alright, when it's snowing outside in the heated outdoor pool to enjoy a drink

We stayed for three nights over New Year's Eve 2017 guests in the hotel and were very disappointed with the service Especially since the price / performance ratio to the existing offer and the much too small room, did not match

The smoking lounge is very nice, but it would be even more beautiful, if the ashtray would not have been full and the table would have been clean.

Entrance hall impressive, the room (superior category) disappointing. Worn and cold. The breakfast was average, not worth 28 euros. The spa area with outdoor pool fabulous.

We had a very nice weekend at the Kameha with Wellness stay. Great design with wonderful service!

All in all, but you have to wait quite a long time at reception, with 3 people on site. Sometimes also rude as a receptionist spoke to us, where I asked her a question ... In addition, the breakfast is too poor of choice for such a hotel with such prices.

When we were there, the restaurant was rebuilt, so breakfast was an absolute disaster. This was a pity, did not ruin our stay however completely!

Found the air a bit stuffy at times, but air condition at 17c during the night in March made it ok. You get a free bottle in the room for the first day of your stay. The mini bar fridge is disabled (no electricity). Fairly large rooms and bath room. Seems to be a mark in the room ceiling for direction Mekka. There's a shallow roof top swimming pool with a view of the Rhine. EUR3 city tax per person per night, a bit limited parking space outside - but possible free parking after 18:00 and on weekends. You can also pay for garage parking. Very close to Rhine river.

Were invited to a wedding party in the King / Queen Suite.
The hotel really thought of everything.
Great ambience with very clean rooms and the outdoor area (terrace) was excellent.

I have been there twice to do wellness and find it great! Pool with direct view of the Rhine, great food, very nice staff and for my feel great spa with a good selection of applications. The Rheinalm invites you to linger and also a nice Sunday afternoon with live music you can spend here! Next door a nice playground.

Very nice hotel. Exceptional architecture. Have the courage to color.

Very nice hotel with a great location on the Rhine. Room clean with good facilities.

Modern and beautiful hotel near Bonn. There is a great spa with 3 saunas, a pool with hot water and panoramic view on the rooftop, gut fitness center. The room was well equipped. But I didn t like how the clean it. I can do my bet myself and keep everything in order too, but I can compare with Marriott AC hotel where you have a free bootle of water every day and can count on a new piece of cream or shampoo also every day.

A nice convention center, I was there for the cop23. The infrastructure, the welcome and the service were excellent. Parking is more appreciated when you arrive from a distance (by carpooling for example). It was a little cold when I was there, to know that there are pleasant terraces some of which overlook the river. Strong point: the presence of local specialties in the dishes offered, a real treat.

I spent one night there. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is clean and once you enter the hotel it feels like you are entering another world. Always gladly and absolutely to be recommended.

I always like to come to Kameha Hotel. Nice rooms, good food & nice staff.

Great hotel, great amenities and top breakfast. Why can not it always be like that?

Old hotel. SPA area very well visited - a little too good for the size. In-house restaurant at 20 o'clock completely empty - why one wonders.

Although we were only one night in the wonderful Kameha Bonn, but were royally served and were therefore very satisfied. The rooms do not all have a balcony to the Rhine, but are very nicely equipped. There is a very nice Tetrasse zuh Rhine. There you can sit great. Any time.

Cool location, who likes crazy design is right here.

Participation in major event, lecture hall and technology good, catering worked very well for the large number of participants and was also delicious.

Wonderful stay for two. In particular, the excellent spa experience has convinced.
Breakfast offers a great selection of fresh produce, some of which are prepared on-site, such as the fresh waffles, yummy :-)

Beautiful scenery, located on the side of the Rhine, the rooms are quite large, good food, perfect for meetings, many large rooms.

Poor Kameha, the brewery is totally out of place! In addition, unfriendly staff with bad service! Apart from the inflated prices! How do you say so beautiful: In the past everything was much more beautiful !!

Nach einem anstrengenden Tag und Event im Kameha, haben wir nachmittags eingecheckt um uns abends etwas in der hoteleigenen Sauna zu entspannen. Das hat leider nicht so geklappt, wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben.


Ich bin durchaus bereit dem Hotel 5 Sterne zu geben, allerdings erwarte ich auch, dass Stellung bezogen wird und zumindest eine Wiedergutmachung angeboten wird, denn wir hatten uns sehr auf den Aufenthalt gefreut.

So, rooms, ambience and food are good, but service miserable - rude, slow and if you forget something in the room, you can say goodbye to these things as they disappear in the black hole! Pity! The hotel has so much potential, but obviously totally wrong management. Not recommended.

Breakfast coffee machine is suspect. Use the one on the right hand. Shower spray to water pressure ratio is not great. Insufficent to wash my hair. Hallway smelled like nail polish and looked like a scene right out of the shining. Entrance revolving door is very finicky. Not impressed. No clock in room.

The bed situation is sub par. Two single beds is just an awful setup. How can any adult sleep comfortably? For this price nothing less then a king sized bed is acceptable.

The windows are not completely covered, I hope you don't like the darkness to sleep.

UPDATE:

The service in the Hotel was a little bit disappointing in 2019. I have talked to some guests and they told me that they had some small inconvenients while staying this year.

Kameha Grand was one of the best and excuisite Hotels I ever have booked for a weekend.

The view is splendid and you can relax in the Pool on the rooftop of the third floor.

Gym room is clean and welcoming.

The Restaurant is very pleasing and serves a big variety of food from all around the world as well as local Food.

The promenade in front of the Hotel past the river makes you enjoy the trip even more.

The brunch on Sundays can not be better. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are large depending on the budget to very large. The staff always courteous. The arrangements for the weekend are worthwhile.

What a bad hotel, 4 times complains (no interest here) every cursed tomorrow the cleaning service from 7:30 o'clock to 8 o'clock the room and is in the door frame to see if you can clean the room .... so you wake up is and probably quickly leaves the hotel .... The solution would be so easy to clean the rooms after check-out.
Never again do I book here ... the spell must be welcome in their nerve hotel where we will not take you seriously.

Very nice hotel with a modern ambience and well-kept rooms. Top modern and inviting. Centrally located and almost on the Rhine.

The hotel is very stylish and modern equipped. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is extensive and appetizing. Unfortunately I have to deduct one point. The room to the courtyard was very clairaudient, so that the event taking place in the opposite section with loud music was clearly audible. So if you catch a day without an event or do not mind a few noises, you get a really nice room with a good breakfast.

Idiosyncratic concept, both in terms of service, as well as the decor, very good restaurants, it takes a little while to get warm, it looks impersonal, even if it is not. The architecture overpowers something, interesting house to watch.
