kalyon hotel istanbul honestly nothing exceptional. the employees are polite enough but do not have the habit of greeting that sincerely amazed us, in addition the rooms have walls that are not soundproof at all, so everyone hears everything even if you breathe. excellent location all places of interest within walking distance. also the bus stop more or less 150 meters. but overall I would say without infamy but also without praise

The place where I attended the wedding organization is a very nice place to be recommended. However, waiters and service need to solve the problem urgently. Apart from that, the food is delicious.
It's very good hotel with big rooms and the breakfast quite expensive but it's very good ! The location is excellent and the view is amazing just few happens during the reservation got problem but sorted out afterwards! The staff mr.Tolga from reception is very nice very helpful and ms sonata Gold staff! I enjoyed stay there for 8 days
The hotel is old. For those who know Istanbul, it feels like out of town.

At the reception fake friendliness ... they did not announce that they had a wedding in the hotel and we stayed with the children, they could tell us from common sense. Music until 3 in the morning. . . also stay on the ground floor. Plus I left my phone charger in the socket and the surprise ... when I returned it evaporated. Nobody knew anything ..... I have a wonderful experience.
My friend and his wife stayed there for a week and it was great...their food and services are superb.

My favorite Hotel in Istanbul, perfect localization close to the best touristic places and the restaurant area of Kumkapi. Take a walk in the morning on Kennedy Avenue, walk to Ayasofya and other places in Sultanahmet. Great restaurant and staff. Ask for a room in front to the Marmara sea and enjoy the view!
The restaurant is incredible. They have pleasant and peaceful appetizers.
It's a great place to leave everything else and see the narrow seas across Europe and Asia.

As a location, Sultan Ahmet makes a difference with the staff and service quality at the seaside. This hotel, which has walls in terms of location, has a large organization place besides the quality of hotel services. A correct hotel, nice, unobtrusive service, although there are problems with English, French and Russian (I have not tried others), besides high level: slippers, body, shampoo and attention! hair conditioner (a 4-star rarity in Europe), unfortunately no bathrobe ... Fast and cheap laundry, room service with a nice menu for pillows, of course at hotel prices, i.e. next to 200% of street food from a 10-minute walk away :-) . And the location of the Bosphorus itself with a restaurant separated from the water by a busy street. Good place! And if anyone thought that 100 U $ D per night is expensive in Istanbul, I invite you to orientate in prices ... Jedntm in a word - quality for the price really OK.

If your path falls to Istanbul, I will not say a great hotel on the beach where you can stay with peace of mind, it is almost your home in Istanbul.
Sea view rooms are great. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is good but not very special. We are satisfied.

Hotel very close to Santa Sofia on the road that runs along the Bosporus. High level hotel even if dated. Clean and comfortable rooms, very large relaxation room. Good breakfast and very varied. Also tried the restaurant with sea view and of good quality.
I strongly recommend all the employees from the rare unique hotels where you will be very satisfied with the magnificent view that warms you with the energies that do all their friendly work.

Worth living in
everything is fine except the AC wasn't blowing air and room gets hot in summer. one other thing is the bad smell in bathroom. the glass curtain for the bath was shaky and comes off very easily and that can harm kids especially. the staff were friendly and helpful to some point. there are no room service late restaurant order no swimming pool, no spa. Its just about the view, nothing more.
I tried the breakfast there and it was so nice, international buffet with Turkish flavour.
What distinguishes the calmness and place is spiritual and the rooms are reasonable and need periodic maintenance in some halls, but the place is generally excellent
Nice clean hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic views of the Bosphorus. The initial room (123) I was allocated had an unfortunate problem with the bathroom facilities hence the 4 star rating. I was allocated another room on the 2nd floor which was perfect.

Disappointed with this hotel. Reception are unfriendly and rude. We arrived via the back entrance and seemed to bother the reception staff. Then upon paying he rudely told my husband you cannot connect to the internet as will take 20 mins - which btw it did not as we connected instantaneously once we got up to our room. Rooms are ok - some areas need attention as clearly worn down and not what you would expect for the price of the rooms. Another issue on check out , the reception staff (same one as we checked in has the initials BL) saw us waiting but went to answer a phone and deal with that issue prior to checking us out. For me that was bad form as reception staff should always attend to waiting customers prior to attending a telephone.
