Dr. Pauline Seguban is responsible for my 69 year ...

Dr. Pauline Seguban is responsible for my 69 year old husband s premature death.
We were switched to her when our Internal Medicine Doctor Julie Winters retired, unfortunately.
Dr. Winters would ve sent my husband to a treatment team or have him admitted as in-patient to diagnose his autoimmune disorder, which would ve saved his life.
For many months my compliant husband was sent all over Kaiser( Dermatologists, Ophthalmologists, chest X-rays) as the numerous symptoms presented themselves. Each time he would return with some eye drops or rash cream or new RX.
Dr. Seguban could not see the big picture, she couldn t put it together.
Finally, I started attending my husband s appts. Urging her to refer him to an Immunologist. She said Kaiser doesn t have Immunologists, only Allergists.
She still didn t seem to get that these multiple symptoms, including fevers, were complicated and he needed to be turned over to a team who could provide him some diagnostic answers.
Finally, under Dr. Seguban s care, my husband arrived weak at Vallejo ER.
By this time, his health was severely compromised, and he sadly died 20 days into hospitalization. Turned out he had Epstein Barr, not fatal.
Totally inept care and diagnostic follow up.
He leaves 11 grandchildren and a loving family who miss him.

They have gotten better, they are not so much like the Gestapo gate keepers of years past, with the prescription refills. But sometime the lines back-up out the doors. They try and encourage online transactions but not everyone from the Pepsi generation is comfortable with that kind of business. My experience with online prescription refill has been generally good, but when a prescription needs to be refilled early because I'm going on vacation or will be out of the country they seem to have a problem with those transactions.

Doctors aren't held accountable for lack of treatment or care. I feel like they can get away with treating someone with little care because there are other doctors they can go see. Maybe this is just how Kaiser is. Maybe that's common. All good doctors are either not accepting new patients or not located in Napa.

Am I the only one they make feel like I've ruined their day by asking for help?

I'm not rude, I'm incredibly polite. If I'm not feeling well, please, do not make me jump through hoops just to get help. Don't make me wait weeks or have to go through a nurse hotline just to get a refferal. Oddly enough at least Vallejo medical offices so far has shown me more urgency..

I'd strongly suggest getting people who legitimately care, not just in it for a time punch and paycheck.

My coverage changed to kaiser starting January 2020 and I m so disappointed with my care so far. I miss having private insurance. At kaiser, you re just a number unlike my private insurance doctors who treat you like family. First, my 2 year old had a UTI and after a few weeks I called to get the results from the culture. They informed me that they forgot to send it in but as long as her antibiotics were helping, I didn t need me to bring her back in. So then, I personally had my first prenatal appointment as I m pregnant. They called me a few weeks after saying they had forgotten to do a test during my Pap smear and informing me I needed to come in to redo it. After that, my daughter got a cold and has snot coming out of her tear ducts. I made an appointment on a Tuesday for a next day appointment. Upon arriving 10 minutes early, I stood in a long line to check in. When I finally got to the front desk the check in lady told me they overbooked with that doctor and asked if it was necessary my daughter was seen that day. THEN, they just called me to confirm my second prenatal appointment which they booked with a completely different doctor then I originally chose to be my OB for the remainder of my pregnancy. My family and I pay for our insurance fully ourselves. Just mine is $530 month and it is the WORST healthcare I have EVER had in my life. I m so disappointed I pay so much to get this kind of treatment. Next year, I will 100% be switching back to private insurance.

Test results are usually overnight and in email. No appointment needed for blood work in same building. Easy place to get immunizations, no long lines or appointment needed. Doctors can be emailed, responses are c a ring and quick. You can be seen very quickly if you are experiencing an ur g ent need. This place is modern, stream lined, efficient and caring.

First rate care, keeping people from entering without an appointment reason plenty of sanitizer, auto temperature readers making the entry smoother, clear markings where to stay apart to remind us. Thank you for such a clean, better organized place.

Dr. Maung cho san, Office assistant was one of the rudest people we ve ever talk to. Just because we were going to be 15 minutes late for a doctors appointment. Dr. San is probably one of the worst doctors at Kaiser so is his staff. Very disappointed.

Kaiser is a massive medical organization with tons of qualified doctors. That being said, they rarely if ever are able to schedule appointments in a timely manner. The Napa facility feels very much like a factory, with patients treated like cattle instead of people. Their website and app are constantly having technical issues. I used to be a patient with WHA and was pretty happy with my level of service in general. Switching to Kaiser was a massive mistake.

Kaiser is awful.

Yesterday I tried to enroll on acceptance date and Kaiser computer kicked me out. I didn't write my password down as I wasn't in yet.

After being on the phone for over an hour, we have to wait 3-5 days to get a new temporary pass word.

We will be traveling next week without our data in the computer.

Not a great beginning.

My pcp DR. Crump is top notch, his ability to notice things like compound fractures or missing limbs is uncanny.
Because of DR. Crump's great service and knowledge of medicine, I'm able to live the life people dream of.
Thanks doc.

Kaiser peddles drugs (according to protocol) to innocent people who are victims of circumstance. Kaiser DOES employ a lot of great doctors, however they are bound by strict guidelines set by pharmaceutical companies.
