More of a family spot, lots of rules to follow. I found it a bit of a hassle. Housekeeping was weak - no turn down service. Great spot for a family or group getaway, but less so for adults only.

The location might be an issue for some people but most of the needs can be found at the resort. The pools are awesome and the employees are very kind. Beds are comfy and the floors are very quiet. I would recommend this to anyone staying near Tucson.

Nice family-style business resort tucked in the foothills. Outdoor fire pit areas for folks to gather around in the evening. Great selection of tequilas at the centered bar and a free tequila tasting provided by hotel everyday. Mountain bikes to borrrow, hiking trek at 6am provided as a service, and unlimited driving range privileges. Pretty nice. What's not nice? All the construction, scaffolding, and construction workers. Only reason it gets 4 stars from me. The Starbucks inside is a nice addition, for me mainly because they had Nitro Cold Brew on tap.

Terrible service at the Salud restaurant. Burgers were not done all the way. Bathtub filled with the neighbors scuzzy water after they bathed. Overpriced for what you get. Will not be back.

I was at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort for a professional event and had a fantastic time. The property was immaculate, the staff was helpful/friendly, and the amenities were top notch. In addition to all that, the resort has dich amazing views of the desert and Tucson, that I often found myself staring out the windows. The nightly events were amazing with fantastic food and drinks provided by the resort. I highly recommend the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa for any events or celebrations.

Great amenities. The lazy river and pool are great and were not crowded which was great (over the weekend). Great location, there's some great hiking trails next to the hotel. Only 15 minutes to downtown Tuscon.

My sister and I stayed here for July 4 weekend and had a relaxing yet fun time! A young man, Fernando, worked the pool area and was so nice and very helpful- I enjoyed speaking with him everyday. He should be rewarded for his high qualify help!! I'll miss Fernando.

We are long term Starwood aficionados and now with the Marriott merger are trying new places. The staff was friendly but the hotel itself seemed pretty worn. The lazy river isn't up to par with Sheratons or Westins we have been to in Arizona and was a little weather worn too. It looks like they are doing work to the hotel spa so maybe things will look up for this location. We stayed in a suite which was lovely and large.

Beautiful hotel. Conference amenities were great. The only complaint I have is I didn't recieve house cleaning service for the first two days, call guest services and they had somebody at the room in less than 5 minutes.

Great hotel, the view from the entrance by the elevators is worth enjoying for a few minutes. The pool and spa area are a great place for a tan. If you're in town during an event you'll probably get an opportunity for some people watching.

Staying here currently for the weekend and the staff has not been anything less than amazing! So kind, attentive, and caring - true hospitality here. From the 2am front desk concierge, to the restaurant employees, and everyone who helped out with the private event in the San Pedro hall - great service!

The views from the hotel are amazing, and pool and deck area are aesthetic. Oh and there's a lazy pool! The weather here was warm and breezy this early March. It's a wonderful resort to stay at in Tuscon - makes me want to move to Arizona! Thanks for taking care of us!

We've lived in Tucson for over 35yrs and had never been here. Went to visit my grandson for his birthday and was not impressed. I'm handicapped and it took the poor parking attendant about 20mins to run back from down the road where he was helping a guest change a tire on their vehicle. There were many other people waiting for their vehicles as well. Hire more parking attendants to accommodate your visitors and guests please

Lazy river is what pulled me in here, and the views and vibes is what will keep me here. Haven't golfed yet, but looks like an amazing course. 3 pools plus the lazy river/water slide gives great choices, the 5:30pm tequila toast every night samples a different tequila each time. The activities are abundant. We will definitely return.

Well west of the city, completely isolated in its own valley, and moderately elevated, it feels like a retreat. Mornings are very pleasant in May, but it warms up. As with all JWM's, staff are all exceptional and attentive. At night, they open the enormous window-doors to access the entire patio (with fire pits) from the lobby bar. The elevation provides a nice view of lit Tucson as well as some relative coolness. Restaurants (Primo and Signature Grill) are all you need, although there are plenty of dining reasons to take the 20-minute drive into Tucson.

Saturday....6 people...two couples...two singles...cockails...patio. The wait staff dropped the bill it on the table turned and left...a single bill. No offer was made to partition the bill forcing us to stop enjoying our time together
and wade through splitting it ourselves. I guess I expect more consideration from the JW Marriott team.

Beautiful resort in the hills of hills of Tucson. Staff very courteous and helpful. Wonderful views of the city lights at night. Shops, restaurants galore! Lazy river meandeaners around one area of hotel as does several large pools and large slides. Been at his resort several times, enjoyed each visit.

The resort was welcoming and not too crowded for a holiday weekend. The only negative aspect of our trip was the bee problem they had around their pool and patio area. Probably just be seasonal issue. Enjoyed the complimentary tequila shot given at 5:30 every night. Would stay here again.

A beautiful place...
In the hills over Tucson with a beautiful view. They offer so many possibilities to explore the desert, take at least the 6 am morning hike. You'll love it! Prices are high, but worth every penny.
I'll come back soon.
