Excellent Tex-Mex food, well-designed golf courses, a great assortment of local plants around the grounds, not to mention great pool slides for the kids, make this destination for Hill Country visitors!

We loved the waterpark. Kids pool could use some updates. Resort no longer has a kids club as advertised online. Food was good but not excellent. Woefully understaffed - it took 45 minutes to collect our luggage and no one bothered to inform us in advance.

Large and beautiful resort in the hill country. Great for families as well as business conferences. Lovely staff, great rooms and decent food. If one had to look hard for a downside, it's about 30 mins from the city and about 20 mins from the airport.

Love the pool, atmosphere and ambience. Friendly staff members.

Excellent facilities, and away from major traffic areas

Amazing suite with a beautiful view of the grass lands and the fountain. Really prompt and thorough service. They take really good care of you. Great eating options in and around the place. Fantastic pool and slide setup, definitely worth spending an evening. It looks beautiful in the night with the lights. Also got a chance to star gaze with the gigantic telescopes, were lucky to spot Saturn and Jupiter. Humongous property with every facility you can think of. Comfortable lobby areas and conference areas. Really enjoyed the breakfast as well. Comfortable beds and bath.

Very good rooms with a quite environment to enjoy your time while playing golf

Beautiful place! Was there for a professional event and unfortunately didn't get to enjoy any of the rooms or amenities, but I'll definitely come back for that.

Great location, about 25 min from downtown a hidden gettaway right in San Antonio. Excellent staff, amenities and on site bars, shops and restaurants. There is even a Starbucks in the hotel! Only place to stay in San Antonio.

I really love this resort we've come back every year. The service is really good and they're great at not saying no. The food is very good and my family and I enjoy it. The water park is never too busy and the rides and pools are all very clean and very fun. They also have different events and fun for the whole family we really love it here and plan to keep coming back.

From the first step onto this property, the experience is five-star. Parking is easy, or if you prefer you can drive right up to the door and use their services. Check-in/-out is quick and the on-site amenities are top notch. A golf course, water park, restaurants, and conference rooms are at your disposal. The bedding is some of the most comfortable I've experienced and every staff member I interacted with were exceptional. I cannot rate my stay highly enough and it goes without saying I definitely recommend this location if you're in the area.

My husband and I stayed at the JW Marriott San Antonio after our wedding. We stayed one night because my husband had training for a new position the next day and this hotel is close to the corporate center we both work at. We're both fanatic about receiving great customer service. We both work at a Fortune 500 company that trains employees on showing empathy and recognizing the customers' concerns.

We were very disappointed in the customer service we received at the bar. We went to the bar to receive our two complimentary drinks and the bartender didn't even smile or greet us with a friendly attitude. She was very dismissive of us.

We did have fun at the jacuzzi and at the sport bar restaurant. Their food there is delicious. We received awesome customer service from the waitress that served us. She took care of us with a helpful attitude.

We won't be coming back.

Margaritas are $15 and that's the only complaint I have. Otherwise, a very family friendly place with exquisite accommodations and the friendliest culture I've ever experienced at a resort.

Extremely busy during the weekend day, but slowed down in the evenings, Room was spacious. We had a couple issues but the staff was extremely helpful in making things right. Highly recommend the 18 oaks Sunday brunch.

Great and amazing resort. This is definitely a place my family will be stopping by again the water park seemed fun although at the time it was closed due. Staff was super friendly and the rooms and view was incredible.

Everytime we go it keeps getting better. Loved our welcome gift this year. This has been a Christmas tradition for over the last 6 years and counting. Only thing missing this year was the gingerbread display.

For the price you pay for the food and the price of the to hotel room, the least they could do is give you a refrigerator that does not require you to press every 2 hours to keep running!

The Thanksgiving Buffet was great! The outside Christmas lights were gorgeous! Everything was wonderful.

Beautiful lobby, nice room, our event was beautiful and the space was so large another huge party was going on across the hall in another ballroom.

Waiter was friendly and helpful! All around good service!

This resort is like an oasis in the hill country. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The lazy river and assorted pool areas were awesome!

I went there for my birthday weekend.. I got gorgeous room but my daughter had Anxiety about door share another room. I went to front desk about it and they gladly change our room without share other room. Everyone happy! Even delicious breakfast, dinning and waitress is awesome. I will never forget Ariel she work in sport restaurant. She is best ever!! Beautiful pool!! Only thing I don t like Bee bear at kiddie pool.. can t complaint and definitely will come back !!

Miguel in banquets, Marissa in events and Margurite in housekeeping all made our stay so enjoyable! Can't wait to return to this property!

This place is beautiful, everyone is so nice , but if you are looking for somewhere to dive and maybe jump of a dive board then don t go to the water park.

Really fun place with lots of pools and water slides. Staff was super nice. I did not stay at the resort I was just visiting friends who were staying there.

Most beautiful and fun resort we have ever been. Our 2nd trip and it was still fantastic. The water park is great and the staff have the best helpful attitudes.

Had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott. The breakfast is amazing! Try the maple syrup with whiskey . We did have a dirty bathtub but when we told the front desk about it they apologized and said they would credit us $100 (since the house cleaning employees were out for the night, was after 10 pm). It allowed us to enjoy more of the hotel and try the breakfast buffet.

I wanted to add that I received excellent customer service from Kikanza. She went above and beyond to ensure my family's stay was the best it could possibly be!!

Lavish, amenities far beyond that of a normal hotel. Rooms are large and very neat. Fancy. Full golf course, water park, a couple of restaurants and bars. A spa. It's definitely a resort. It's expensive. But the quality generally matches.

Cibolo Moon is one of my favorite restaurants in town! I also love the laid back atmosphere that the outdoor fireplaces, and wooden chairs brings.

Lots of activities and wonderful staff but it does feel hectic at the holidays as it is so crowded. Lines for the children's activities were long. Although they moved fairly quickly it felt just felt crowded and loud. My kids love it but after room for a night, a couple extra holiday activities and a meal we could have gone out of town for a couple nights for the same price.

Beautiful grounds and surrounding area. The Hotel is gorgeous with a waterfall and small pools in lower Lobby area creates a peaceful vibe . The rooms are beautifully appointed and luxurious. We love the balcony area and the fact that we have a mini fridge. The views are fabulous. The entire staff has been very friendly, helpful and extremely courteous. We highly recommend this location

Great resort if you plan to hang out at the hotel and pay outrageous prices on everything. No real budget food options though, and it's at least a 10-15 minute drive to get to the closest off-site restaurants....not to mention a nice walk down the hill to your car in order to drive there. Kids will love the water park, but if you are going just for the water park, you are probably better off driving down the road and staying at the Schlitterbahn resort -- cost is very comperable, fwiw. Lots of fun activities (like S'mores) in the evening for the kiddos. I'll give it 4-stars because my wife got us a travel agent rate discount, but at full price we're probably not staying here.

Worst front customer service. Will not be staying at any Marriotts in the future. I was double charged for 2 night stay and going on a month without this issue being resolved.Im not talking about extra charges ie incidentals..valet or room service..that was paid for separately. No manager has called me...no apology and have been left on hold for 20 minutes each time. I've repeatedly asked to speak with a manager but never any luck

The pros: staff is exceptional. Views are tremendous. Water park is highly entertaining. Cons: rooms are dated and not well finished. Beds are not terribly comfortable. The vibe is sterile. And the food is average. All the while charging a premium price for everything. As it is pretty isolated you aren't likely to leave the property. So be prepared to pay the high prices. This said the water park and kids activities are great and appeal to all ages. Don't stay for too long as it gets old fast. A couple of nights is just right.

Spent a weekend here super location. Room was perfect. Nice lobby. Convenient to the Riverwalk and Alamo.

This place is beautiful and amazing. I was there for a half marathon. The holiday decorations were beautiful.

Nice with all the amenities you would expect from a resort. Very well trained staff and going beyond seems to be their way. Enjoyed the stay very much. Comfortable rooms and facilities.

Wish I had time to fully enjoy all the amenities, but I was there for work. Still a wonderful place to stay.

I love love love this hotel!! It's views are truly amazing. They have so much to do here it's incredible. Come with family or friends and you will have a blast. It is pretty expensive, but it's kind of expected at such a high class resort like this. I'm definitely going to come back here soon!
