My fiance and I stayed here when I proposed and it was fantastic. The staff helped me do it exactly how I had planned it, with rose petals raining down. The property is beautiful and overall a perfect rating. this possible satisfactory moment is now a great memory.

Great hotel outside of San Antonio. Staff is excellent and rooms are spacious and comfy. There is a Starbucks inside this hotel and I like the gift, clothing, general store is open late. There aren t many other stores nearby this hotel (like drug stores or grocery stores). We didn t get to try the water slides since it was too cold in January but looks like it would be great for the summer months.

Love this place! Rooms were wonderful and the view was so beautiful. There were several nice restaurants inside as well. The staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was so relaxing. The outdoor seating areas and fireplaces were very cozy and inviting. I will definitely visit again.

Quiet but fun. Had the whole resort to ourselves practically. But for the price we paid we had to ask them to re open some of the slides which was awkward. Had a nice bar to order food and drinks too. Overall, a little Pricey but really nice and worth the money.

Great place and service I wish the massages were better though I have had about 5 there.
My last deep tissue was very soft I was hoping for some kind of coupon but when I told the front desk she offered a day pass to spa amenitys. I will not go back. I needed a real deep tissue massage.

Amazing place but you do pay for it. The very best in hotels in San Antonio. Amazing decorations. Outstanding food. Very prompt mx service when we had a plumbing problem. Great activities for the 14 year old and under crowd. Would recommend to others if you can afford it.

The resort is beautiful and clean. They have plenty of pool chairs so no need to feel rushed to save some in the morning. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The TV is huge and you can stream. The only downside I found was that the beds are full size, not queen size when requesting double beds. We shared a room with our kiddos and the beds were way too small.

Went for my sister in laws birthday celebration and had an amazing time at their water park / lazy river. Service was on point, drinks were strong and the cheese burger they serve at the bar near the water park is KILLER. Definitely recommend a day trip or over night stay for pure relaxation.

Tonight we stayed here for the first time and I've been having some health issues lately and I called down to see if anyone could bring me my medicine that I left in our car. That's when Ashley from room service came, not only did she bring my medicine but also snacks and drinks to help. Ashley and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to help me! Ashley you're amazing thank you so much!

This is a great place to stay the rooms a beautiful and the staff is super helpful. I recommend it to everyone there's things for people of all ages. We will definitely be returning!

JW Marriott sure knows how to make people welcome. Had a great time at the VTO race and golf clinic with the family. Having a pro golfer teach my daughter hit a golf ball for the first time was priceless.

This was a nice stay. The hotel looks out over Hill Country and is quite relaxing. The breakfast was a really good and vast variety of things, and the service was nice.

My favorite part was the lazy river so fun and so relaxing :)

Just because it has JW in front of its name doesn't mean it deserves to be part of the JW product line of Marriott. The prices may slightly reflect it but the services are subpar especially compared to JW hotel resorts overseas and at major US cities. If you have kids they will enjoy the water park, as most children will. If you stay with a party larger than 4 getting restaurant reservations are near to impossible (we had a party of 8 staying in 3 of their rooms under my reservation during Mother's Day weekend and Spa Girl Tri). Also their concierge service is basically useless and simply a phone service/operator -- just transferring my phone calls and being disconnected 3 times (used Amex concierge to get things done properly). On busy weekends this place is a train wreck, with their restaurant staff unable to keep up with the traffic -- something unexpected for such a large place. It has no 24 hour room service; with an extremely basic room service menu ending at 2AM, and breakfast service starting at 6AM. This place is like a mediocre Disneyland resort hotel; expect the basics to be met but nothing more and if you are used to the JW Marriott line it isn't this one...

The staff was so amazing, from the front desk to the servers and everyone in between. They didn't enforce the mask compliance but I really only saw a few not complying and it was empty enough you could avoid them. In our 3 days I never rode the elevator with another person. The pool area is the main attraction and it did not disappoint. It wasn't super busy so it was very enjoyable. I love that this resort actually gives you water for free, many places limit it but here its free flowing...like water. There's a large open area for the kids to run and play and lots of seating outside and inside.

W stays here for a business conference. It was nice but did not measure up to other JW Marriotts we stayed at. We are Vacation club owners and felt like this was average compared to others we stayed at. It was clean the pool was heated the lazy river and slides were great! Food was ok in all restaurants. Good but nothing to make a special note of.

Pools, slides, lazy river is awesome. Kids activities throughout the day is cool too. Grounds were pretty and really you don t have to leave; however, be prepared to spend at a minimum of $200+ per day on food. The prices are ridiculous ($13 for frozen drink in plastic cup/$4 for iced tea/ $85 for family of 4 to eat burgers by the pool?!?) next time since we have a refrigerator I will pack lunch stuff to save money. Also the beds aren t comfortable and the room seems to not get as cool as what we set thermostat to at night. Other than that we ve had a blast. 9yo and 6yo loved it, 4 days of fun was enough for us.

Really nice hotel with an amazing water park attached. Spacious and plentiful pool options, water slides, and a nice long lazy river. Rooms are nice with massive TV's, but some slight cosmetic issues like worn carpet and torn comforters. The restaurants are good. Staff is very friendly. A very nice family getaway.

I was there for a conference and did not stay overnight. The landscaping of the entire area was absolutely gorgeous. They have a whole lazy river behind the hotel too! The staff is courteous and friendly. The food was alright (catered fajitas, essentially). The rooms were good for the conference but I wish there were more outlets that were easy access-- in a room with 5 rows and one aisle, there were probably only 4 outlet hubs. During the breaks they had "catered snacks" I guess? And some one said they got a candy bar that expired in 2016. Not sure if they read that wrong or if they are the only ones that got an expired candy. Not sure if they are related but I went to 18 oaks for dinner and it was phenomenal (granted I've never had Wagyu beef before that night but it was so delicious!!)

Check in the rate I booked was not the rate honored. Rate given to me was $120 more per night. Asked for flexibility in the rate, but none was given. Manager and front desk was very rude after being confirmed over the phone. Requested a feather free room and did not receive it. Did not receive water park wristbands at check in. Dirty towels were left in the room. And lots of trash all over the resort. Wait staff at the water park was excellent!

When my wife and I went to check in the representative assisting us tried to tell us that our reservation was for the next day. I assured her that I had spoken to Marriott reservations and they had booked everything for me, and my reservation was for today. I told her the pricing that reservations had given me, what kind of room I had booked, even the confirmation number. She still continued to tell me that her system showed us checking in the next day. She made it seem like she wanted us to leave, she never called a manager for assistance. I asked her to get a manager to look in to it. She doesn t say excuse me, she turns around and walks off to head to the back without a word. She s gone for 15 plus minutes, while we are standing there wondering what s going on. No other employee behind the desk asks us if we are okay while we are standing there waiting for her to come back, no smiles, nothing. In the mean time I decide to check my Marriott BONoY app and try to check in that way. It shows my reservation with the dates I had already told the representative, and I proceed to check in that way. At this point she still has not come back, our kids are sitting on a couch in the lobby, and my wife and I are really wondering why we are receiving such horrible customer service. She eventually comes back and I show her the Marriott app where I checked in, she then says the manager and her were able to see my reservation. She never apologizes for anything around the attitude or treatment she s giving us- a manager never comes out to talk to us or apologize. Just here are your room keys and that s it. We were very close to walking out and not staying here. If we had not promised our kids we would go, we would have left and found somewhere else to stay. My wife and I are very calm people, but the treatment at the front desk came across as very rude, and not very friendly. The staff needs a lot of training around hospitality if this is how they treat guests of the hotel. Management was no where to be seen. We ve stayed at many fine hotels during our travels, and our experience at the front desk was probably the worst we ve had. The only reason I m giving three stars instead of one was because my kids enjoyed the pool area, and the rest of the staff we met were much friendlier.
