Beautiful facility. Water area is great for families
My family had a great time at the JWM San Antonio this past weekend! When we arrived we were treated promptly and the staff seemed to work well with the "controlled chaos" The rooms and resort were great/clean/ and well kept! My daughter loved the kiddy pool and the lazy river. If she was old enough she would have enjoyed the movie under the stars but there were plenty of other children enjoying it from what i saw!
My only complaints were that i tried the valet ($28/day) when we arrived. They recommend a 15min advance notice which i gave. Upon arriving in the front 3 valets were chatting to each other, my car had yet to be pulled up, and i had to wait another 10 mins. So safe to say for that price i was happy parking my car myself! Also the routine for getting a floating tube at the pool is a bit ridiculous! Being able to get a double-tube is like finding gold and is literally currency at the pool. I had no troubles waiting like a vulture at the slide and plucking one from a kid who's parents said it was time to go but i felt kind of bad just doing that. a system i think should be put in place!
Don't get me wrong i loved this place and would definitely go back again!
This place is rated well for all the available amenties. The service is above average but not 4.5 star. It took us 2 days, 4 calls, an in person visit just to get an extra blanket...We also had issues with housekeeping bothering us several times one day. They apparently thought we were checking out that morning. Even though we had spoken to someone about keeping the room we were in another day TWICE. Once at check in and then AGAIN that very morning...Our key didnt work that afternoon either which posed yet another issue. They gave us a non walk out balcony at first as well. We had paid extra for the walkout. So we had to switch rooms from the get go. That was fun. Check in itself was another ordeal. Just be prepared. Its busy and its a long wait. If they tell you your room isnt ready but that you wont have to wait in line again? Dont believe it. You will wait in line again to get your key. The pools and grounds are stunning. The water is warm. However, the water has lots of leaves and mulch in it. Its also crowded. There are not always towels for the guests either. The reason being; some guests wake up early, take all the available towels and put them on chairs to save a spot. Even while they arent using the facilities. There needs to be a better system in place where this isnt allowed. Its not fair for the people using the facilities at the time. I cant speak for the food or restaurants. We didnt eat at the resort. I can tell you it was busy and it was expensive. The Starbucks is only a perk if you feel like waiting in line for forever each time. The employees did all seem nice at the hotel. That was a plus. So was the large tv and balcony (minus the hornets nests and dirt). I also didnt feel the linens and room were exceptionally clean or high quality. The main mattress was comfortable but had stains under the matttress cover. I know this because the sheets wouldnt stay on the bed. One of the pillows smelled a bit funky. One of the towels wasnt clean. The extra couch bed blanket had a red drop on it that looked to be blood or nail polish, not sure which. If you call down to the front desk be prepared to be put on hold for a long time by the way. The housekeeping team was nice but it was hard to communicate with them. I know it sounds bad but all in all, we had a nice time. We felt safe and the kids enjoyed the pools etc. The good outweighes the bad here. I just want people to be aware of these things ahead of time so their expectations arent what mine were. Mine were too high and I'm not sure if I'd spend this kind of money to stay here again. I've had better.
Such a great place. Absolutely a 5star resort!
Everything about this place was amazing. The pool complex was just incredible. Already thinking on going back next year.
This place is MASSIVE! Water park is huge. Has an arcade, Starbucks, and an amazing sports bar.
Loved it, so nice and relaxing/friendly I m going every time I can
Nice resort hotel. Friendly attentive staff. Nice looking swimming pools, water slides, lazy river (haven't had time to check it out, but it looks fun.)
A true hidden gem! We spent 3 days here and it wasn t nearly long enough. From the beautiful rooms to the delicious restaurants to the amazing water park to the world class golf courses, there is truly something for everyone! My personal favorite was the nightly kids buffet at the sports bar - such a perfect idea to help kids hang out longer while their parents enjoy a drink and watch a game! We will be back!
Amazing resort. I would avoid spring break . There were children running around the property at all hours of the night.
I love to go running here! I love the trails that yal have here! Thank you for thinking of putting trails here for runners/joggers and walkers to have a place to run!! Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much yal!!!
Amazing staff....amazing rooms.....amazing property...amazing food....AMAZING time. Nuff said
This property of Marriott is absolutely phenomenal and never fails in service. The food is always on point. The scenery superb and just all around excellent.
Incredible atmosphere, friendly and proactive staff. Would do another buiseness dinner here.
Nice but vallet staff lacks customer service skills
Attended for a conference. The resort is absolutely beautiful, and I'm upset at myself for not staying here instead!
Amazing, the pond and fountain is below our balcony, we just open the doors and fall asleep to the sound
Wonderful place to go really fun especially with family. They have a water park great restaurants and nice bars. They also have wonderful scenery the Great Golf Course highly recommend staying there
Amazing spot for a nearby vacation/staycation for families. Tons of amenities including an awesome pool/waterpark area.
Pool is great! New slides and a new sand beach. Always a great visit.
The main restaurant and adjacent outdoor grassy area is great for families
Waterpark was fun. Have to pay to use the driving range, even if you're a guest. The lazy river was ok. I wish the tubes had drink holders
Great resort and spa place for conferences and trainings. Conference halls are spacious but extremely cold. Catered food is good, mainly Texas style food. Overall good experience
Very open and clean. Bring the kids or plan to play golf to get your money's worth....
Wonderful pools and slides, food was good, and the rooms aren't cheap like most resorts
A great place to take children, it has a huge water park and a lot of fun activities. The reason I didn't put five was because of the slow service.
Probably the nicest property of ever stayed on I could Libby.
Great place for professional events. The staff were very polite and professional. Great atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.
Probably the best hotel in San Antonio but a little out of the way
Beautiful Hill Country, Beautiful property and hotel!
Entertainment and activities for the kids. Family fun filled place with an excellent water park and golf course
Excellent, the staff is nice and friendly. We had such a great time.
Great views, very clean with modern conveniences. Helpful staff and good food.
The property is getting old..
But the service is awesome. We come about once a year and are never disappointed with how relaxing it is. The golf course is there but if you want to just relax this is the place.
We had a fantastic stay here for New Year's. We were impressed with the variety of options and parties available, even for the kids. We had great meals at several of their restaurants and would definitely go back again. Beautiful spot to stay for a long weekend getaway.
Amazing! Very beautiful, I can tell you that if you take any friends and family there they will love it. Even when it's night out the pools are lit with bright and colorful lights. And you can roast Smores. It's very beautiful all year round.
The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel has lots of amenities and activities that are engaging and entertaining; including multiple pools, an arcade, and five waterslides. My only complaint is the unpredictability of the house keep, in the several days staying here is has never once come at the same time (morning, lunch, or afternoon), making it difficult to plan around.
Been here many times. Relaxing and fun for all ages. I love that my small children can ride down the slides with me and my husband. My 10 yr old loves the new body slides. I tried them a couple of times ended up with a severe wedgie.
I like this hotel.I love how it has events for kids and all ages. I like how it has a lazy river at the pool. I also like how it has a big golf course right next to it. I would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to take a vacation.
Top-notch everything! Especially love the water park swimming area.
We have stayed two times and both times the rooms were not clean but otherwise nice hotel lots to do for the children
Went for the Valero PGA golf tournament and it was very nice there.
Beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly and the decorations around Christmas are gorgeous. They had a gingerbread town of the san antonio riverwalk
For our anniversary, I stayed at the JW Marriott at a cost of $450 a night. The parking lots at the hotel have no camera s, and no warnings about taking your personal possessions, nor stating that that they are not responsible. I felt like my car was safe in an environment where they occasionally patrol the property. Much to my surprise when I got to my car, the passenger window was shattered and my personal property was stolen. I was contacted them only to say they were sorry and that they were not responsible. If you park your car in their lot, this may be the only warning you get as the hotel doesn t want to put out a negative vibe before you check in. At least if I would have stayed in a hotel for $60 a night I wouldn t have a false sense of security and possibly camera security
Everybody was very pleasant. The facilities are flawless. We'll absolutely be returning.
Nice place but parking is horrible. Valet is expensive.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! Amazing place for a special occasion! The staff is so professional and friendly, the spa was so relaxing, and the food taste great!! Loyal customer for life!!
The hotel was really clean and the staff was very nice!!
Our Go-To for places to stay in San Antonio. The pool is incredible and the rooms are very nice.
I attended the Sunday Brunch with friends to celebrate a Birthday. The service was great and the food was wonderful.
I went here for a work conference not to long ago, the food was amazing!
The food was pretty good but the atmosphere wasn't worth the money that they charge for it
The convention facilities are first rate. I attended a seminar there and felt better than home.
The people were super and the facilities were beautiful. Beds comfy and food was tasty. But it's not close so you better have transportation if you're not into hanging around the resort all day.
Beautiful grounds, amenities and rooms. Incredibly friendly and capable staff.
Because of this Pandemic, this place has become very nice to stay and relax. Lesser people, not crowded... they did a good job with cleaning, disinfecting, and hand sanitizer availability everywhere.
Awesome staff, customer service was great ,kids had great time , I am pleased to JW Marriott San Antonio
