The location of a hotel can say a lot about what you can expect. This place is removed from the hustle & bustle of San Antonio, but for good reason. It provides a definite level of comfort. The rooms are serviceable, but you shouldn't be More

Service is impecable. Every employee treats you like a VIP. A little pricey however this comes with the J.W. experience so it is worth everypenny. We even got a few hand written notes from employees thanking us for our stay. Incredible hotel.

This place is amazing. The worst part is that the food is expensive. There is a water park that is great for kids and adults. There is an adult only pool and a very nice kids area for toddlers and such. The service here is great and all of my interactions with the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was very clean and they acommidated our every need.

If anyone is looking for deals for hotels go over to . made a reservation for a hotel room on there and these guys had the best rates worldwide!

One of the finest Marriott properties I've ever stayed at. It truly lives up to the "JW" name as well. Stunning drive up to the hotel, grounds to walk on, and decor throughout. The water park is an oasis in the Hill Country. We will surely be back soon!

The only drawback I had was that the game greens have been aerated and this was my first time to play. typically I shoot with in the 78 to 84, today this course kick my butt I just needed a lot of salsa to go with all the chili dip that I had. this course owes me big-time I'll be back. But this experience was immeasurable I have a whole lot more respect to the people that play this for a living I'm 72 years old but I'll be glad to do it all over again

Great for the kiddos. Very nice water park on site and a couple of decent restaurants. If you like to stay close to the room and lounge on vacay then you don't need to travel farther than this.

Beautiful property. Absolutely gorgeous and massive hotel and convention center. The lazy river and pools are large, lengthy, and very nice. I deducted one star because of the egregiously high prices. $18 for a regular margharita, $30 for cheap flip flops... Prices for the hotel are already over $300 a night so they shouldn't be hurting for cash so bad they have to gouge customers.

This is the second time I've stayed here for a conference. Nice rooms and nice bar area. Outside patios are nice. Decent sports bar. The one downside is that the resort is isolated in the suburbs. Half hour drive to the Riverwalk.

I attended a dinner function while at the Marriott. The food was excellent, as always. A cut above other hotel/resorts in the area. I'm most impressed with the staff at each visit. They are friendly and accommodating. I don't recall a single bad visit that I've ever had.

Lots of fun for the family. The water park and pools are perfect for a 2 night stay. The pillows are still awful, and the food and drink are good but overpriced. The accommodations are great overall and we'll definitely be back.

This. Place. Is. Awesome. Love the room. Love the view. Love the staff. But, I would marry the Sunday brunch overlooking the private nature preserve the manage. The Golden Cheeked Warbler would agree with me and may even join me for the awesome bagels. I don't get much quiet time in my job but the waitress saw that was what I wanted. She also knew more than average employees teach their staff. Stay here, maybe play golf, but get Sunday brunch.

The rooms are very nice. They are on the larger side and very clean. They have large bathrooms with separate bath tubs and shower stalls. They also have the largest TV's I've ever seen in a hotel room. The staff was always courteous and helpful to me. The bars are nice, a good place to grab a drink or kill some time. The grounds are exceptional. I just wish I had more time to spend exploring them.

Got kids/grandkids? The best reason to stay here is the resort pool area. It's a water park. Lazy river, 3 tube water slides (2 tall & 1 low impact that empties into the lazy river), 2 body water slides, and a sand beach. We went on a hot day in summer and still lines were short. There are plenty of chairs & shade umbrellas to chill in. The adult only pool has a great view out over the golf course. The staff was attentive and regularly checked on us to see if we needed drinks or anything. The lifeguards were friendly and increased in number as the afternoon went on and the pool got more crowded, so there were always plenty of water watchers. This is a GREAT place to bring kids. The night we stayed, they offered a campfire smores activity after to pool closed at dark. I would also like to mention the sports bar downstairs was serving a kids all-you-can-eat that featured picky eater staples such as chicken tenders and mini corn dogs. Skip the "arcade". (I use that term loosely. It was really weak.). Opt for the chess, checkers, and billards in the lobby or the ping pong outside instead. Last but perhaps most importantly, the staff here was really top notch. They were quick to respond to every request we made and were very helpful. I can't wait to return someday!

My wife and I decided to spend our honeymoon here and were not disappointed! Treated ourselves to spa services, ate way more than any human ever should at a single sitting, and tried some beverages we'd never heard of before. All of the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. We have every intention of spending more time here in the future.

Yes.

Don't be fooled, they just want your money.

Don't be fooled, they just want your money.

Very nice hotel and amenities, but the additional charge for chairs in water near umbrellas is ridiculous. They are not clearly distinguished as being the special person chairs, as there are chairs with umbrellas OR in the water elsewhere. This should not even be a rule, but if that extra pocket change makes a difference to the hotel, at least only enforce it when there is demand (0 people using when we were told to leave or pay). Changes my whole outlook on an otherwise excellent experience.

Loved it!

Amazing resort for the whole family. Of course the restaurants and on site stores are extremely pricey but there is a Super Target right the street to buy snacks. You can even take your yetti on the lazy river!

Loved this weekend getaway. We live nearby, but felt like we had left town. The staff was amazing, the room was great, the property is beautiful!
We did the spa for a day since it was raining and had such a relaxing time. We used the gym at the spa and the main gym as well. The nain gym was crowded and not very clean. However, when we informed the staff, they were apologetic and let someone know right away.
We were not big fans of the food choices, but once again, the service was great. Great place for a stay-cay!

Quality property. Great service. Had a room problem and even though i never received the pins promised, I was quickly taken care of. Both room and points wise. Some of the best food I have enjoyed at a JW Marriott.

I was just there for the Christmas light show, and it was great! There were three songs that went along with the lights. It's a very beautiful resort, and I would enjoy staying there.

Rooms are lovely and it's nice to have a balcony. The beds are comfy and for the most part it's pretty quiet. The hotel has an insane pool that looks super fun. There are a lot of amenities and a good selection of food and drinks. Cibolo restaurant has a decent beer selection and really good brisket.

I had been planning our staycation for months at the JW Marriott for the main purpose of the River Bluff. We arrived to find parking already scarce. I was hoping to take the cart driving around to help shuttle people to the entrance. It was disappointing when we saw the guy drive by us hauling golf bags instead. Normally I wouldn't have minded walking up from the bottom of the hill, but it was seriously hot. I was expecting to be greeted with the utmost courtesy and top customer service, but the associate was obviously not happy to be there. In fact I was the one to greet her with how I had a reservation and would like to change the form of payment. Her response should have been welcoming and delightful yet all she said was "your ID?" I stood there for 10 mins without another word. I didn't even know whether my room was ready, wondering what was the hold up. I was not offered my arrival drinks, free wifi, or activity schedule which i expected a welcoming and informative associate to give us once we arrived. Our keys were placed on the counter with her just turning her attention back to the screen. I was in disbelief. We got a room overlooking the front of the hotel which was nice at night and had a balcony with two chairs. The room was done not very well the first night because my kids found an empty soda bottle and a wrapper under the beds ,hair in the tub, and there was no water at the ice bucket. I did however notice the difference the second day in cleaning, and there was even a welcome note from the housekeeper named Teresa. Job well done by her! For the price of the room I expected at least two queen sized beds, microwave and a kurig coffee maker which comes standard in a 3 star hotel. I was attempting to use the app to make request throughout my first night there but I grew impatient on the response time I ended up deleting the app. Each attendant that came to our room were nice and didn't mind answering questions my talkative and curious kids had for them. So I appreciated them. My husband and kids did go down for the Cibolo Moon's breakfast buffet. They said it was good. We enjoyed the water park and glad it was not congested like we had feared it would be. My kids were excited once came time to head back to the room. Bath time was fun for them because they all went at once ...awesome to have separate bath and shower with plenty of room In the restroom itself. I recommend a stool for little ones, we used a chair from the balcony when it came time to brush teeth and wash hands. Overall the highlight of our stay was the River Bluff. I do recommend that chairs should not be held by towels alone if no one is actually occupying them. I did not stop at the desk for check out, but did receive a copy of my folio via email. I should hope that had I done so, a more hospitable associate would have shown their appreciation and sincere concern about how our stay went. Bidding us a good farewell. This is what I as a guest expected, and I as a person with many years of hospitality and customer service experience expects. As a guest my expectations were not met, and I hope for a better experience for others.
