I saw this company on Facebook and requested a demo. Instead I got a snarky email claiming they couldn't offer services to me because their workers comp policy won't cover emergency services. The joke is we don't offer emergency services; we are a school. So they don't cover TEACHERS either? Forget this company. They don't know what they're doing.

My company, Skillist, loves working with JustWorks. They've made our payroll and compliance management so much easier (especially since we have teammates in 5 different states), and the rates for our benefits plans are excellent as well!

When it comes to growth of a small business, there...

When it comes to growth of a small business, there are plenty of firms that will claim they can provide you the world. Few firms provide transparency on day 1, few continually improve their services, few invest heavily into their technology. Justworks is the only PEO I would recommend to other business owners.

Not at all able to guide you in making decisions. They err on the side of refusing to serve. I could not trust them in any future need because they do not look for ways to make things work, only for ways to stop coverage. I would not waste your time on them. I would give them a ZERO if such were possible.

I have nothing bad to say about Justworks! My company, FloDesign Sonics, switched to Justworks from ADP Total Source at the beginning of 2019 and I am so happy that we did. The JW platform is so much more intuitive and tech-forward, and their 24/7 customer service is a breath of fresh air. I was solely responsible for the implementation with the help, of course, from our JW implementation specialist, and it went very smooth. Even since then, customer service has been great. My favorite thing about JW is that they're continuously improving. I have made suggestions for improvement in features, and have actually seen these changes put into action! It also helps that we ended up saving $100K+/year after switching. Couldn't be more happy with Justworks and I'd suggest them to anyone.

Took weeks and three followups to even get a quote...

Took weeks and three followups to even get a quote, which was promised in three days. Then it was not findable in their system because the customer service rep gave me the wrong instructions. More followups, each taking a day or more round trip communication. Finally, I hit the :( in their email for feedback, and it goes to a 404 page.

I really wanted to like this service.

I really wanted to like this service.

I entered my contractors information at the end of last year, payments, etc to make sure their 1099s were filed, but apparently they were never filed (as I needed to invite them to the system, which was wildly unclear in the UX).

Now, they can't do anything about it. It's too late. This service is supposed to save you time, but really they are super reactive. It's like talking to robots.

I will be switching as soon as I can.

Update: I am now receiving notices from the state I live in. Apparently Justworks hasn't been submitting the necessary paperwork either.

We switched to Justworks from a traditional payrol...

We switched to Justworks from a traditional payroll provider and have loved the experience. Justworks makes it easy to onboard employees all over the US and has exceptional customer service to help with any and all compliance and payroll questions. We're so glad we've made the switch!

As the HR Director of a small company, I COULD NOT...

As the HR Director of a small company, I COULD NOT be happier with the support and resources that Justworks provides. I genuinely feel that my account executive is a dedicated teammate; responsive, encouraging, and incredibly helpful! I absolutely love the usability of the platform, the quality of the service, and the interactive community that Justworks fosters. I have definitely learned and grown through my partnership with Justworks.

Update 11/06/2020: I still like Justworks. They made changes this year to make health-care renewals easier. However, they eliminated the personal account rep. Help is available 24/7, but I no longer have one person to whom I can reach out when I have a question. It takes longer to receive an email response (partly because of the pandemic...understandable!), and one person I spoke with over the phone didn't seem to understand what I was requesting. I had to explain several times.

Original review 10/11/2018: Justworks makes things easy, and our account rep is really helpful when I have questions. The insurance renewal process was easy to get through. And, the additional benefits are great. I like that they listen to customer feedback.

We've been using Justworks for about 10months...so...

We've been using Justworks for about 10months...so far so good. Their strength is in the ease of use, ability for us to manage all departments efficiently with prompt customer service response via phone or email. I have been managing offices for a while and Justworks has blown away the competition in my opinion. Anything that makes my and our employees lives easier, is always a plus in my book...from keeping track of HR, 401K , benefits, perks etc... to use of personal information. What takes the cake is the customer service...they reply quickly, even for a tricky question. One negative is the lack of options of vendors to be use as perks for the company...they should work on getting contracts with more gyms, health centers etc... maybe include culinary classes? things of that nature so companies can pic and choose the perks they want for their employees. Otherwise, we are happy with the transition from that company that should not be named to Justworks. I will update my review after the year, and hopefully the rates do not increase exponentially as other reviewers have mentioned...specially because that would be dishonest and unprofessional. If this does not happen, my review will like be five stars which is unheard of for this type of platform but if deserved I will give it...lets see what happens after our renewal.

We couldn't ask for a more complete and easier to use payroll and benefit service. We're happy to pay a little extra for a complete solution that has only grown in value for us while remaining simple to implement and intuitive to use. We've worked with other providers and only had headaches, so we now recommend Justworks to all of our clients!

I run operations for a small firm and I manage/initiate all the benefits and payroll. Due to my responsibilities, the online portal is incredibly important for my ability to provide a high level of service and clarity to my team. We were using another HR/Payroll provider, a juggernaut (one of two on the market) in the payroll services industry. Their online platform was difficult, glitchy and exhausting to navigate. I was rarely able to find answers or census information that I needed and instead would have to contact the customer service person at the payroll company who sometimes didn't know the answer to my question or it would take days/weeks to get what I needed. My experience with Justworks has been intuitive, knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. Since I am not the decision maker for my company, I had to do an extensive amount of work to present all the necessary details to my boss and the sales person I worked with - Fran - was incredibly helpful and collaborative when working with me. I am impressed by the Justworks platform and am actually excited (instead of resigned) about using the platform to take care of our employees and our organization.

Young company that has plenty of growing to do.... If they can make it long enough.
Sub par solution, especially for the price. This is confusing because there are plenty of quality options on the market.
In today's landscape the platform doesn't stand out, and has a variety of deficits.
In terms of benefits & insurance- they only have 1 option. They approached us with a 'tailored solution', yet under further review there is no customization or consideration for our company & employees. *Be wary of companies that have exclusive agreements with insurance companies.
In addition the shortfalls of their solution, a major problem they face is internal. Internal communication, customer support, and general knowledge were absent after the sale.
When we approached them with questions, it became obvious that their employees are novices in the space. We knew much more than them, and they didn't seem to care to learn. Good luck trying to get help from their higher ups, they treated us as if we weren't worth their time.

This is a company that grew its client base in its infancy by offering the product for little to no cost. As their client base grew (in many cases for free), they convinced investors to give them money.

Don't be fooled by their claims. The other reviews posted here are obviously their employees.

Justworks was exactly what we needed at Leadfeeder...

Justworks was exactly what we needed at Leadfeeder to get the ball rolling with a remote company managing employees in many different states. They have made payroll, benefits and compliance such a seamless experience. They are also there as an HR resource when questions arise from my employees that aren't so clearcut to answer. The only negative experience I've had is with their 401k provider. The process was a bit drawn out and painful.

Justworks is the best partner for our HR management at Loyalkaspar. We've been working with Justworks for about 3 years now and could't be more satisfied. It's an affordable way to work with a PEO, have payroll, benefits, perks, taxes issues dealt with the right away. The online platform is a breeze to use, for the administrator as well as for each employee. JW reps are easy to reach, on any platform you are comfortable with, and they are quick to respond.

The worst experience ever. We have spent months implementing this system. They told us this morning after implementing their systems, health insurance rolled out to our team, THAT THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THE WAY WE WORK. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS ORGANIZATION.

So fast forward 2 years. This organization has now told us that our health insurance is going to go up between-200%-300% because of the health of our employees. This is completely illegal and we are going to be suing.

They missed payroll and did not even tell us and then continued to fumble the ball and did not get funds into our employees banks accounts for a full business week.

Justworks has overall been a seamless product. The PEO model has worked well. However, the pricing is higher than a traditional payroll company and not sure the value is there, except for the product portal. They got rid of the the dedicated support person for each team, which I think has decreased my view of Justworks. Justworks would have received a 5, if they kept the dedicated person. The support staff isn't always helpful in resolving issues. For example, they work with Slavic 401K to provide 401K services but wasn't fully aware on how payments are made, and push many questions off to Slavic. On the other hand, Slavic pushed the questions back to Justworks. It was somewhat of a roundabout. Other than this, the technology is seamless and easy to use.

I love their easy site interface and have utilized the chat and phone cust service options and every time have spoken to someone knowledgeable on my questions/concerns. Super happy with their services and would highly recommend them to other businesses looking for a PEO.

We were skeptical at first, but Justworks became a backbone of our operations. We wouldn't be able to operate so efficiently across the country with a distributed team without them. One important thing is that they've improved significantly over the last few years. Much like any growing company, their customer service has improved, their benefit offerings have improved, and their user interface has improved also. Try them!

We implemented JustWorks for our small business (M13 Holdings), of 6 FTE's, about 6 months ago. This was my first time working with a PEO, and I have to say they have made it a seamless transition and their support team has been extremely patient with me, knowledgeable and informative in handling our onboarding experience. No question has ever been a bad question and the amount of resources available to us, for the price, is a win/win. The interface is great and the software very user friendly. JustWorks has definitely made a huge difference in managing most HR duties under one roof and has aided in maximizing my workflow efficiency. I'd recommend this platform to any startup.

Justworks proved to be useless when I needed them ...

Justworks proved to be useless when I needed them the most.

My FSA account was frozen by their third-party service provider, BenefitWallet, for one invoice totaling $54.44. This happened at a time when I needed access to my account. Despite the invoice being paid directly to a medical office, they requested further information. I submitted the invoice and it still took two weeks to resolve. The whole process was over 15 days with the last 10 days consisting of a dispute of $4.44. The most frustrating part of this was the complete lack of support that I received from Justworks in addressing this matter. I've never had my FSA account frozen and trying to resolve this was a terrible experience. I was on hold for 30-45 minute intervals, with the last call being over an hour (to conclude the $4.44 difference so that my account can be activated).

I am writing this review for Justworks because BenefitWallet is a representation of Justworks. Justworks selected BenefitWallet to serve as the FSA account provider. Justworks bears responsibility for the absolute horrible experience of dealing with BenefitWallet.

Having recently moved to the US from Australia to work for a startup (AEDIT, LLC), it has taken all of the stress and hassle out of learning an entirely new set of HR rules, regulations, laws, and taxes! Their customer support is also fantastic, always friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend JustWorks to anyone and everyone.

We migrated from Gusto (payroll only) to Justworks...

We migrated from Gusto (payroll only) to Justworks once we needed benefits for our first employee (now 3). Its been terrific for healthcare, HR, 401K and payroll needs. Customer service is super prompt and very constructive. And its priced very well vs bigger name brand old school PEOs. Great option for small employers and gets you access to much better healthcare options than you could buy on your own.

So worth the price. Amazed by how much they stepped up to take on COVID-19 complexities. For example, I just went in to file my PPP forgiveness, blocking out several hours to setup and run the reports. I opened Justworks reports and they had a dedicated set of reports all ready to export. I teared up with joy, they make HR quite enjoyable.

We've been using Justworks as our PEO for about 1 ...

We've been using Justworks as our PEO for about 1 1/2 years, and we're very satisfied. They do our payroll, health benefits, and 401(k) plans. I really like that I don't have to worry about keeping track of the different state and local taxes as they take care of these through payroll. We're in our second year of the Open Enrollment process, and Justworks makes it incredibly easy. As the admin, I get all of the information well in advance, and they notify, and send reminders to, our employees of the process, instructions, etc.

As far as communications, Justworks can be reached via email or telephone--someone actually answers the phone!! They always reply within 24 hours, if not sooner. If it's a rather tricky question or situation that I have, Justworks will let me know that they're working on it so I'm not left hanging. Overall, we've had a great experience with Justworks!

I came here to voice my displeasure at how quickly I was turned away as a potential customer of JustWorks, and after a very brief look through other reviews, I see that others have had the same problem that I did.

I scheduled a demo with JustWorks after spending many hours across several days reading through their website and the services they offer. The demo was abruptly cancelled moments before it was scheduled to occur and it disappeared from my calendar. I received an email saying that they don't "work with companies in [my] industry" and I should move along. I called to get more information and found that this is because my industry involves driving. I recognize that this is due to their workers compensation insurance carrier putting limitations on them, which is fine, but I am very disappointed in the fact that this was not disclosed upfront on their website. If you read their website, they paint a picture of a company that "Just Works" for everyone, but that's just not true. If you run a business that involves any sort of blue-collar employees, you should look elsewhere for a PEO. JustWorks will not even give you the time of day. Don't waste your time. JustWorks - you should be more honest and open about your limitations. Consider putting a page up that describes the types of industries you do, and don't, work with.

Don't make the same mistake we did by believing their competitive rates will last. They will buy your business with extremely low insurance rates, and then hike them to ridiculous levels upon renewal. Also their service approach is very "reactive" so be prepared to project manage them and get last minute notices about changes that need to be made. Not a fan.

I've been a Justworks customer and admin for about 4 years and they are a true partner. I would recommend to any small business who is currently managing their own benefits and payroll to talk to them. In many markets, they pay for themselves with the savings on healthcare costs - not to mention saved administrative burden.

I have worked with them at two companies and they provided us with easy to use payroll, top tier benefits at surprisingly affordable rates, HR counseling, reporting tools, 24/7 support for admin and employees (from their USA office through phone, email, slack, and text), a platform that is beautiful, and a team that is working harder and harder every day to give every client and employee the best experience possible.

I reached out to Justworks to inquire about their platform for offering benefits. Instead, I get an email stating that they refuse to work with companies in "my industry" because their workers comp partners will not cover "my industry".
Strange, we've never had a problem getting workers comp coverage.
It appears this company is discriminatory to anyone running a "blue collar" company, and can't even be bothered to have a conversation or do more than a google search to understand a company before rejecting them.
Very glad I didn't start the process; this first impression tells me everything I need to know about Justworks.
