Really delicious chili crab, not cheap ( 100, - including a local lobster), but you should do it if you are in Singapore for the first time.
Good food, typical tourist trap with a good service and steep prices. All justified by the location on the shore. Large outside sitting area does not have air conditioning, but the evening breeze makes it bearable and even enjoyable.
Have been going to jumbo whenever we wanna have a good seafood meal. It hardly disappointed us.
However, we were a bit disappointed on the quality of the food today.
We ordered drunken prawns. They used to served us with live fresh prawns but today I tasted couples of not-so-fresh prawns in this dish. Prolly it's one of the cost saving measure or just a genuine mistake from the kitchen. I will give a benefit of doubt
Hope I will hv better dining experience in my next visit .
prefer the black pepper crab than the award winning chilli crab.
do try the fried baby squids and yam ring scallop!
dont waste your storage space on the fried donut with seafood paste.
The location is good. At the seaside of the East Coast Park, you can watch the sunset at the seaside while you are having dinner. Look at the planes coming and going from Singapore Changi International Airport and watch the ocean wheels anchored by the shore anchors. It is very pleasant!
The food is also good. The signature pepper crabs and black pepper crabs here are unique in style and unique in flavor;
Big restaurant with seaside view and stunning chili-crabs dish.
Chili crab (mud crab), cereal prawns, crab fried rice Battered and left over. If you come to Singapore, it's a specialty. It's so expensive that it's not something you can eat often
Very well attended - due to the enormous size, however, also a bit "mass processing". Outside you can sit comfortably by the sea. The service is quick and efficient. The dishes are nicely presented, fresh and the taste is very good. We were a group of 16 and we ordered different foods on the turntable - everything was very good!
Downside: when we were finished, the table was cleared very efficiently and quickly, and the dishes and leftovers were put in plastic boxes. A quick start seemed desirable.
Excellent service, fabulous food, breathtaking views.
An excellent place for people loving seafood and a great way to spend the evening with family
Yummy

A lot of people look to this place as a cultural icon to try Singaporean seafood such as the famous Chili Crab. There are two levels, upstairs which is air conditioned, and separated from the hustle and bustle, and downstairs which is open air, and more the feel of what eating seafood in a semi market experience would be like. Jumbo is ok, but I wouldn't say its the best in Singapore, there are definitely better places for food, but with the view its not bad. Beware that with the view you will pay for a price-ier meal.
Food is good. But you can only see sea with all the ship.
one of the best places in Singapore to eat crab. the outlet at east coast beach has great view and breeze from the sea too
Had the black pepper crab and chili crab, both dishes lived up the to expectations I had when hearing from others that had dined here. Timing of food could be improved as I went right at opening at with at least 3-4 tables total but waited for quite some time for each dish.
Great place, friendly staff, great food, premium place.
Chili crab is very delicious ~
I just did n t expect that peanuts and tea were asking for money, and I did n t talk about it first. I felt cheated, angry.
delicious seasoning ... suitable for the Indonesian tongue
Long time never visited this restaurant., food still as good. Loved the CRAB.
Jumbo is probably the most popular of all the seafood restaurant in Singapore. And with branches located in many areas. At the ECP, at any time, it will attracts the most crowd, despite that, there are more than a habdful of similar type restaurants at the location. Popular dishes include Chili crabs, crispy squids, taufu, etc. Weekends esp are very crowded, so reservation is highly recommended.
Award-wining chilli crab drenched in slightly spicy, sweet and sour sauce. Golden salted egg crab covered in umami flavor.
Butter milk crab is the best and definitely my favourite. Service was great. Thank you.
Delicious esspecially chilli crab!! definitely come back.
Fabulous seafood. Always busy, always good quality, always good service. Expensive, good views, very popular. Try the chilli crab.
Great seafood with a very nice ambience. If you are a fan of spicy, go for the chilli crab instead of the more conventional black pepper. The price is a bit on the high side, but this is what you should expect at a restaurant of this stature. Service was pretty decent and food arrived at a decent speed despite the crowd.
Great food but pricey. I love the chilli crab (don't forget to order the bun), black pepper crab, steam the bamboo clam, mocha ribs and salted egg golden prawn.
It's packed especially during dinner time, make sure you call and make reservation.
Definitely go there, only available here at Jumbos. The crabs are awesome, it's a real experience to eat there. I recommend this location because there is a good and large terrace to sit outside and there are plenty of places. It is always very well attended.
Delicious food Even without seafood eaters there are great fish
This outlet is inconvinient if you don't drive. Public transport is a long walk away. Staff very friendly and bilingual.
Very commercialized serving busloads of tourists; overpriced for the quality & amount.
A good place to eat the crabs and seafood, friendly staffs and delicious foods. The seafood is fresh and clean.
Very good Sri Lanka pepper crab. Won't go anywhere else for this.
Ingredients were fresh but cooking skill was average. Service was bad and slow. Despite pressing the service bell for a few times, no one came to take order. We need to stop the server when she walked past us. No gloves or apron was given even though we ordered black pepper crab. Staff came over to clear table even though we are not done with our food. Slow in serving, fast in cleaning.
Delicious! Super windy and chill at the east coast outlet too.
great service & place to eat seafood, easy to find parking, reasonable price.
Taste very very very very good. BETTER THAN THE ONE IN ION MALL, BAD SERVICE.
Jumbo. Nuff said. One of the most popular chili crab in town. Consistency in quality and all my guests love it
As much as it is touristy - the food is really very good. The black pepper crab is better than the chilly IMHO. But the mocha ribs is super delicious - order it! The service is really good overall. Would love to go back again!
Over priced and constantly making us feel that we must finish our food fast and get out of there. Quite disappointed
Food quality disappointed us. Uneven sauce, salt level. Dishes and tea cups are all plastic as same quality as hawker centre while paying for premium price.
Service was good which earns extra star.
Won't be coming back, instead will be going to another seafood restaurants.
Service is really bad and include the food standard down badly
Good but quite touristy - doesn't have the authentic local flavor punch
Nice seaview n breeze while dining at the restaurant. Chilli crab is good.
Very good food. Jumbo is a must in Singapore. However as it is expensive this should only really be a special event dining. This might not be the best place for kids as eating chili crab is messy and having kids might be a annoyance. It's a great place for Singapore most prestiged food and also offers great views
I prefer the black pepper crab, but the chillicrab is also a must do in Singapore. Jumbo is good quality Singaporean food
Food and environment is great, coem for the local gourmet flavor, reasonably priced
Good food, good ambience but price is on the high side
Great place and service. Food suitable for all ages but I think their prices have increase quite a bit which quite pricey now. But still be back for important celebrations.
It was my first time trying singaporean chili crab and it was magical. The waiter served us 800 gram mud crab, since it was only two of us. Crab was so juicy and full of meat. Sauce was not spicy at all with tomato base. Mantou is a must order for chili crab. We enjoyed our dish to the fullest. But i had the feeling that the waiters kinda neglected us. My bf was wearing white shirt but they didn't take the initiatives to offer aprons (it was not peak hour at 5pm). Maybe it's because we only ordered crab and other guests ordered various dishes so they looked down on us? Hopefully not though. Despite that, would definitely go back for the crab again!
Food was good. Chilli crab was tasty as usual, fried rice was plentiful, roast chicken was slightly dry, steamed fish was good, tofu veg was nice, but the fish maw soup was a little starchy. Did the Lo hei and it was quite nice. Liked it, but it felt a little too "run of the mill". Their service and food just needs a little something extra to make it special.
