We had a nice time. Service was very attentive but a little slow at times (I think they were short staffed). Most of our meal was nice but could use more seasoning for my taste. Over all I would go back again.

My husband and I go there every year first our anniversary and for occasions in between. I don't eat beef or pork and there are plenty of wonderful options for me. I like the Adrian My husband does eat those things and had the best pork chop of his life and a steak actually made to his order. All of the menu items are seasonally fresh. They take fresh Louisiana food to a whole new level. Portions are reasonable. Diners will not find those absurd micro meals that look like they were made for dollhouse occupants. The only thing I have ordered that I was not pleased with was the bread pudding and that's only because I like 'scoopable' soft bread pudding instead of the 'cuttable' kind that can stand up like a slice of cake. For a slightly different experience I have been there for Sunday brunch. I prefer dinner. far as staff, we have not met anyone who doesn't seem to like their jobs. My husband and I like that college students are often hired as wait staff. Everyone is well prepared and professional.

I was here for a birthday dinner where we prepaid for our dinner. My chicken dinner was sent back 3 times because the chicken was so hard I couldn't even cut it. Don't waste your money here!

Delicious! Every dish we had was great. Tuna appetizer, crawfish and corn bisque, seafood gumbo, softshell crab entree, shrimp and grits, and 2 other entrees from the brunch menu. Really impressed with the flavors of everything. One thing i would suggest steering clear of is the Bloody Mary. The one i had was terrible. Go for the bottomless mimosas. You will not be disappointed.

We had a dinner with our Baton Rouge fair board. In my opinion the quality of the service and the food at Jubans has really gone down. The food was very slow in coming out and it was not hot. The servers were doing the best they could but there were only two of them for room of about 30 people. Below-par from previous experiences.

A Baton Rouge dining staple with a menu of exceptionally prepared signature dishes reflecting the heritage of Cajun cuisine combined with a comfortable fine dining experience. From the new gouda cheese grits side dish to the Hallelujah Softshell crab and catch of the day seafood entree, you truly can't go wrong.

Wow.

Wow.

The crab cakes were phenomenal. Very pleased with the amount of Thriller to filler ratio. Very solid depth of flavor. Fresh and flaky, not dry.

The shrimp were excellent as well. I could not get enough of that sauce. And the mango and bacon topped it off.

The Hallelujah crab was five star. Tender and clean, not overcooked, and the potato was smooth and season perfectly. Those veggies...perfection

The butter and bread were standard fare. The butter was so light, it did not have much of a butter flavor, and it was slightly sweet but not salty at all. The bread needed salt, kind of bland.

The sensation salad was slightly oily, and could have used a little bit more zip with either Citrus lemon squeeze, salt or cheese.

We will be back.

This place has really slid down from being pretty decent. The last couple of times that I dined here were pretty terrible. Fritata - old, tough, inedible; scallops - cooked to hell; eggs overdone, and roasted potatoes that were cold and disgusting. Everything was bland and unappealing. If I were rating based only on my recent visits, Juban's would have earned only 1 star, but I have eaten good food here, although that seems like the distant past. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to recommend.

How much time do you have. The service very slow. I was in there Tues. 4/9 at 6:30 pm. I ordered a filet. there was no taste & it was very tough. The server just said he was sorry. He did not offer a substitution or anything. Said he was sorry. Left half on my plate.

Food was delicious, the atmosphere is excellent. Redfish is a must have, was full of favor and made perfect. The creme brulee was perfect. Expect to be there for a will but worth it. Will come back again.

I had a reunion with old friends with a group over 20 people. They gave us the smallest room ever and I felt so clastrophobic. The food was eh it gave us options but they were so tiny, the beverages were alright but I do not recommend

Great ambience, ok food, but the interruption by waiters was too much while we were trying to enjoy the meal having a conversation. Also, it appeared like the waiters were too eager to take away our plates even when they could clearly see that there is still food on it and we were eating it - happened 3-4 times.

Absolutely amazing night on New Years Eve! Ned Fasullo & the big band orchestra made the night outstanding! The wait staff was great, kept our glasses full and made sure we had everything we needed all night until midnight. The food was so yummy! Definitely an experience I ll never forget.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Juban's several times over the years, and my recent visit proves it continues to maintain its high standards. We started with an oyster soup (a special) and the BLT Bibb, and followed that with the Redfish Adrian and the filet mignon. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was very good. The waiters are respectful without being pretentious or fawning. A great experience all around.

I was so blessed to be apart of my Aunt and Uncle 50th wedding celebration and what a wonderful place to have it. Great atmosphere, great service and great food. I can't believe I never eaten here before, but I sure will be back.

Honestly the food was amazing. The steak was cooked well, and I really loved their truffle mashed potatoes, very different from other regular steak houses. They also had this mint chocolate chip shake that was to die for!
Not to mention, the atmosphere was great, and the waiters were wonderful.

The staff was extremely friendly, but the food left a lot to be desired. It wasn t bad, but it certainly wasn t worth the price. And as nice as the servers and such were, the service was extremely slow. Probably won t be back, but I appreciate everyone who waited on my friend and I tonight.

Had dinner at Juban's tonight with a group. The waiter was attentive and solicitous. The sensation salad was large and very good, with enough, but not too much, salad dressing. My ribeye portion was nice and juicy, even though it was cooked medium, not medium rare as I had requested. The bread roll was so stale, I had trouble opening it to spread a little of the seasoned butter, which was very good. The result was a lot of bread crumbs on the table cloth which were not removed until we had finished dining, which I found odd for an upscale, fine dining restaurant. While a serving of asparagus supposedly came with the steak, 3 very small spears was all that appeared on my plate. My main complaint, however, was with the table itself, which was uneven and rocked enough to spill drinks when one attempted to cut a bite of steak. The waiter informed us the problem could not be fixed, as it was not simply a short leg, but a loose table top. Hopefully, the repair was made just after we left and no other diners were subjected to it. With Juban's reputation, decor and prices, I was a little disappointed.
