Very attentive staff, delicious thin-crust pizza prepared in fire oven right in front of you (if you sit at the bar). Good wine selection and decent beer selection. The large TV screens are not my personal preference. The cocktails were ok, but a bit sweet (I prefer Cubroom or Cure).

I received tap water in a glass bottle to make it seem professional. I ordered a 10oz steak and received a tiny steak very little. A drop of fries and the lemonade tasted like straight water with lemons in it. We received sour bread with some type of sour butter. It tasted like old bread it wasn t even heated up it was very hard. They food cost too much to receive a little bit of food. I order a pizza and the pepperoni was raw and pizza was disgusting

This was a delicious meal. Highly recommend the chocolate bread pudding, it replaced the cheesecake which we did not care for it was a bit powdery and not creamy. They were very nice about making us happy. Really great service and food!

Good local wine bar/restaurant. The flights of wine were enjoyable and had good diversity. We only had appetizers which were fine, but nothing to write home about. The service was quite good and attentive. Overall, it has the feel of a suburban, upper middle-class restaurant lacking originality but a fine experience. I will certainly go back, but it will likely be on a Monday night when the other wine bars in Rochester are closed.

I will preface this by saying that I am a 25-year old male who went here with my dad and brother on a Saturday night...my dad likes the "scene" here, that being the cougar scene...the food is pretty good, but I find the whole atmosphere kind of snooty...they have a lot of types of wine, but a terrible beer selection! I like Genny light in the summer at a tailgate, but $4 bottles?! The one good beer they had (Harpoon IPA) was tapped out.,..they have TVs (I was trying to watch the Sabres), but you can't see them because of these low-hanging bar lights...the music was also really loud for a restaurant....this would be a good place for 30-40 somethings, or people who are into wine, but not for me thank you...

One of my top 5 restaurants in the Rochester area (along with it's sister restaurant, TRATA). Always great service and food! Can be quite noisy in here though, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Parking is also a little tight those nights.

I made reservations on 8/10/2013 at 6:30pm online for me and my fiance to have dinner, when we got we got seated in the middle row in front of the three booths which were occupied at 6:35pm we got offered tap water or sparkling, we chose sparkling because the way the guy with glasses made it sound like the tap is disgusting in pittsford. now at this point the waitress continued to walk past us to the tables behind us and waiters and waitresses were standing around not doing anything, so 25mins later we have yet to have a waitress approach us and ask if we were ready to order at that point I was furious and called a waitress and asked how much longer do we have to wait to have a waiter or waitress take our order mind you the restaurant was not busy the bar was busier and everyone had a drink in their hand. A waiter approach me at the table apologized and said i don't have to pay for the sparkling water if i want to leave. I was suggested this place by a good friend of mine who owns hotels in rochester and I flew in to visit friends and watch the PGA tour. I own my own business and never in my life have I seen the worst customer service and wait staff. Never again and trust me many of my friends who work in the food industry and critics that I know in New York City will get a phone call. We did go to Pomodoros and that place was five stars all around. Someone missed out on a good tip!!!!

Wonderful venue. Nice bar area with pizza oven in view. Friendly bartenders, our server was great. Tuna tartare, Charcuterie, Steak frites, margherita pizza and flank steak salad. Each item is highly recommended and delicious. Martini, wine & a few beers. Our dinner companions had been here before, highly recommended, and we agree! We will be back. Thanks to all at jojo's!

Not a smart place to visit if your ideal to visit is based on going to a new place and oving it unless you are a local top 10%or or you are escorted by one. It's a local social network designed to be that, or so it seems. It's priced as such also. But it's a nice decor. And yes, service can be less than great

We we're having a bad night, a really bad night, as a family. The host sat us in a corner, far from the madding crowd, as requested. The waitress was sweet and sympathetic and attentive. The food was delicious and interesting and made us smile a bit, in the dark times. Thanks, guys. You really helped out my family in our time of sadness.

I pretty regularly hear people give this place great reviews but after talking to some people and trying it myself I've realized that the great reviews are coming from people who have only had wine and pizza or an appetizer. We sat down last night and ordered dishes (a salad, an app, and 2 meals) and we were seriously disappointed with 3 of them. In addition to the lackluster food, the guy who served it was not knowledgable (brought us the wrong thing and insisted it was right) and at the end of the night our waitress walked past us probably 5 times and didnt say anything which lead to me finishing my meal cold because i had run out of dipping sauce lol.

Honestly, the brick oven is cool and im curious to try their pizza so i might go back once more and sit at the bar and try some zaa but i would never return here for a sit down meal.

Great food but the service was not good at all.the manager was not nice. She had an attitude problem.
Guest service is the most important role when it comes to restaurant. Either the customer was right or wrong. She should know that.

Tuna appetizer was flavorless and seemingly unseasoned and the orange salad was flat out disgusting. It was also a very small portion, but with the taste of it, I wish it had been smaller. The staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was overall nice and cozy. If I ever went back it would be for a glass/ flight of wine and most definitely not the food.

I came in for the first time ever over the weekend and was surprised with how great our experience was. It was around 9:30 on a Saturday night so there was no wait, but I was very happy to find a place that was open and serving food later into the night - especially in the area. The menu had a ton of great options that it was almost hard to choose from! Not a bad problem to have. The cocktails were great and the food was better. The best part of the night was our server, Zac. He was so friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu items and the drinks. He was wonderful and really made our experience great.

This is an awesome place to eat! I made a reservation for dinner using the online reservation form. I noted that my Son was surprising his wife for their 3rd anniversary. JoJo's brought them complimentary champagne! Thank you!

The food was ok, nothing to write home about, but the service was marginal at best. There were several mistakes, burnt veggies, wrong drinks and confusion with the reservation. The steaks were not cooked as ordered and there was a long More

We took salad and pizza, we liked both. The thin and crunchy pizza with Roman rather than Neapolitan. Moreover we brought the wine from home as it is advertised for one evening a week. Modest account

They are Back!! For those who have not been happy at JoJo's you must give it another try. Tracy is back from Boston and has taken the reigns at JoJo's!
We were there on Friday and it was spectacular. No surprise for those who know Tracy and Scott. The food was awesome and the service was spot on! Something that has been missing in the past. Give JoJo's a go and you won't be disappointed. Thank you for the great night!

Tracy was so rude that we left without having dinner.

My husband and I walked in, and I forgot to grab my mask. Tracy was frantic when she saw me without it, and yelled YOU NEED YOUR MASK TO BE IN HERE! which was both rude and embarrassing. Of course I do I just haven t left the house since March and forgot it. It s not second nature to grab it yet. I completely understand reminding me to have it, but the way she presented herself was unprofessional. My husband waited inside while I went to grab it, and she continued to complain about me to him. It was an accident, and I immediately turned around to grab it. I don t want to be anywhere without it, either!

When she came back to the hostess podium, she said so what do you want? Uh.... there s very few things we could want if were standing at the hostess podium. We said we d like a table for 2, please. And her response was well there s a wait. I asked her what her name was, and she never even asked ours but said we could wait outside.

We left immediately. These are strange times, and if patrons are willing to come to your restaurant then your staff should be more welcoming or at the very least, not so blatantly rude.

It goes like this. A few years back. We live in Hamilton, Ontario, and were taking some time as a family in the Finger Lakes area. A rare occasion suddenly presented itself--the in-laws took the kids and my wife and I went out.

We were in nearby Canandaigua, so went to quaint and stately Pittsford for a drink at Jo-Jo wine bar, where we discovered six swanky well-heeled couples fashionably attired as though without trying and sitting and standing around the front patio--laughing at each other's witticisms.

I felt--geesh--a little intimidated, and asked my wife if there was a Gallo or Turning Leaf commercial shoot going on. Like where are the cameras, I said, looking around. They looked so magazine good--and happy. We had to go in.

We approached and they said something like that to us, like we were a good-looking couple and what's the occasion. We laughed and explained that we thought the cameras were on them. (we regret that we didn't just sit down with them, it felt so natural. Aside: these were good, cool people, the kind that are confident and friendly--we love New York).

Inside we sit at the wood and a young guy comes over and introduces himself as Bud, like the beer, he says. He was great. Asked us where we're from. I say Toronto. Oh, Tor-on-to, he repeats with what sounds like a stilted Japanese intonation. I say it's pronounced Trawno to the natives; he corrects my overly crisp Rochester pronunciation to Rawchestah. We laugh. He says he saw Radiohead in Trawno. We drink and enjoy. Would've stayed for dinner, but we needed to see more--the night was magic and we don't get out often.

We need a place for dinner. Bud says good luck. Pardon, I say. Good Luck, he repeats. You should go there--in Rawchestah. But it's Saturday night and you don't have a reso, he says. But I know a girl, he continues, who used to work here and who might get you a table. He calls. Comes back nodding and smiling. Scribbles directions on a napkin (which I kept). We move on to Good Luck in Rochester. See my review there. It was fab. Thanks, Bud, the bartender, not the beer, you were great.

(And to the Turning Leaf couples--hope to run into you again on set).

The owners decided to go upscale a number of years ago. The old place, a wood-fired pizza and calzone, etc. place was a delight - creative decor, good food, good service. Unfortunately, Jojo is overpriced, especially the drinks. The brined porkchop is wonderful, but the service is slow unless you are among the constant patrons. There seems to be a snob appeal that just isn't backed up by most of the food. Good, but not a good value, unless you have more money than good sense.

A very cool look on the inside since this building was remodeled, it's an open floor plan. They have comfortable intimate seating booths with low soft lighting - Very nice for a date. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the food is cooked properly - Not overcooked with fresh ingredients. When we visit a restaurant for the first time, if they have a burger on the menu, I'll order one just to try it once - Unless of course I see something else on the menu that I want to try. This was our 2nd visit to Jojo Bistro, and we weren't disappointed the 1st time, so figured I would order their burger. I order burgers medium-rare to medium as it's a difficult cook to give a burger - That can tell you a lot about the cook. Jojo Bistro made it perfectly ! They also have terrific chef designed entrees, and Jojo Bistro should not be construed as a 'Burger' restaurant based on what I ordered. Because they have only one burger on the menu, they better get it done right - And they did.
