I will go out of my way to go here to eat the BLT, it's amazing! They always have great beers on tap too.

Entrance is kind of hard to find. Small walkway in the back. The bartender spent so much time talking about her kids to a random patron and made me wait forever. I ended up just leaving without anything. Has a nice atmosphere but I wont be back

Very friendly staff and owner... They care about there menu and make everything by hand even the mayonnaise/aioli !! Who makes there own mayonnaise these days!!! Best fish and chips that I have had in a very long time!!

It was terrible... they kicked us all out at 6:30 PM

Considerate and courteous staff, chill vibes, and friendly neighbors! This bar has it all, and I actually adore the hidden away aspect. I never even knew this bar existed until I heard about it through word of mouth.

Great food, service, and the atmosphere was incredible as well

Open after covid...1st outing. We sat outside next to a small group ...that kept growing till it reached at least 10 people who were loud and obnoxious. Our drinks were WARM and gross. Then we asked out waiter several times for the check and he kept "forgetting". I finally had to go in and ask and he blamed it on another table being "needy". Will not be back. Plus we had to walk by mexican restaurants GARBAGE that was gross and stinky just to get in to the seating area. Horrible experience.

The food was decent, though I'm pretty sure it's reheated instead of made fresh to order. The mac and cheese definitely was, and the green beans were from a can. The smoked brisket started out good but got rubbery as it got cold, which didn't take too long because it was fairly chilly in the restaurant. Service was friendly and quick. A good place for a drink and bar food but if you're wanting a quality dinner I'd look elsewhere.

Great little bar that s had its struggles in the past. Lots of potential for future upgrades to a few areas but not really lacking anything at the moment! Awesome bartending talent and friendliness.

The poor cook was by himself, and he had to bartend also! The kitchen is not easily accessible from the bar so it was a difficult situation for him. I felt bad for him. But he did a great job considering the circumstances! The olives tasted old but the drinks were made well, and the food was delicious. It would have been much better if there had been someone in the kitchen and someone else tending bar.

Love this place! Best freshly made food ever and the price is so affordable. The staff they have is always a treat to see. This is my FAVORITE place to go. Friendly staff best food ever not to mention the customers are regulars.

Mmmmkay. You know what it is. If you eat at this place you won't have to eat ever again. You simply won't want to. Food would not compare to how good this places food is. You will simply quit eating. You will then start drinking. And their drinks.....they are Da Best. I'm out! PEACE:)

I ordered the brisket platter through grub hub. The brisket s flavor was good but it was really dry, tuff, and chewy. It was too chewy. I expect quality when I order bbq and haven t found a place in portland yet. The meal arrived in a timely matter but the brisket, bread, and mac and cheese were warm and not hot. The mac also didn t have good flavor and was missing a kick. I also received a piece of fat that was pawned off as a slice of meat which was disappointing. I ordered from them because they were doing a 7 dollar off promo deal. I m glad it was 7 dollars off because it wasn t worth the full price. I wont be ordering from them again.

The best brisket sandwich I've had in Oregon. Good beer on tap and excellent food. Friendly staff too.

Kudos to the food, service and excellent beverages of this Hidden gem. Secluded Behind a Mexican Restaurant of Beavertin fame, the Hall st. Tavern and Grill is an oasis of comfort and fun. New owner/management with great attitude. Definitely give it a try.

Some of the best food in town. Super unique menue. Bacon hot dogs, burgers from scratch, custom soups. Open late. Low key and family owned. Next to si senior hidden down a little walkway

I never review anything but this place rocks! Friendly bartenders and great food. Sweet outdoor smoking area with a fire pit and a pool table. I love their burgers but the roasted turkey club is my favorite.

Busy bar, but great food and drinks. The pool table is not completely flat but the people keep you straight. Love everything about it. An open mind can make some great friends. Highly recommend.

Nice transition from the quasi-Chinese restaurant lottery bar to a non-lottery bar and restaurant that offers a wide variety of menu options. Drinks are well-poured and the bartender was friendly. Will return to test the pool table another time

I have been going there since they opened. It's my favorite lunch spot. The staff is so friendly, they make you feel at home! Can't say enough about the food....and I have tried it ALL!

Excellent happy hour at Hall Street Tavern and Grill. We stopped here on a sunny Sunday for happy hour and sat outside with our pup. The staff was incredibly nice and recommended the half rack of ribs. Not only were they awesome, but the happy hour price of everything was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing- classic bar food with a gourmet twist. The bartenders are hysterical, yet extremely sincere and good at their jobs. Drinks are REALLY strong. This is a cozy, yet really fun place if you're looking for a laid-back night of drinking and laughing. Prices are amazing. We got 4 drinks, 4 jello shots and fries for $30. Amazing!

Known Chris for about 5 years, just met Kelly, and Jo and i, go back 16 years. Sometimes, reviews aren't about the food, the beer, the tables and chairs. It's about the people who own the place, but more importantly, the KIND of people their collective personalities, bring through the door. If you get that, and want that, see you there. If you don't, it won't matter. Because with, or without you, this PLACE, is gunna rock, and it's gunna roll!

The food was good and the staff were very friendly.

Changing from my previous 5 star review. Today the bar staff allowed a toddler into the bar. The child was loud and disruptive and the parents did nothing to quiet him down. After a while I had enough of it and called the party out for having a kid in the bar, their response was intimidating and threatening, again the bar staff did nothing. We asked the bartender why this was allowed and were told that he allowed it because they were in town for a wedding, he claimed he didn't know the laws regarding small children in a bar (spite no minor's signs being posted throughout the bar.) We felt forced to leave before our food was finished because of hostility from bar patrons. We are regulars at this bar and will never return.

Great food and drinks. Only complaint is it was freezing inside.
