Wonderful place! Tigers in the Wild! This is not anywhere else in Africa. Cheetahs! In addition, incredible views and a very comfortable lodge! Many thanks to the founders of this reserve and the project, they really make a huge contribution to saving endangered species of animals!

We first discovered this place in 2014 after seeing a Nat Geo video called "Tiger Man of Africa" and have just been back for our third visit, this time in the new Tigress Julie Lodge, positioned on the rim of the canyon that gives the place its name. The lodge is warm, comfortable, well-staffed and beautifully appointed for a boutique luxury lodge of only three rooms. Additional housing is available in nearby Philippolis with a shuttle between (which we used for our first two visits) but the lodge is the optimum home base for photo safaris with the free-roaming tigers and cheetahs. There is a variety of other non-predator wildlife but the Bengal tigers are the featured event and they are spectacular! My wife and I took a thousand shots this last trip and are finding it extremely difficult to throw any out!
