Sun and explosion of flavors! We had lunch at Christmas Town, outside in bright sunshine. Marseille cuisine, that is without subtle feint, with a lot of flavors, freshness. Good products well prepared without too much fuss. Of course it is not cheap and we wait a little, but it's the price to pay for fresh products and a real kitchen: 173 for two with starters, dishes, desserts, mineral water.

Food is over priced and poor quality... showing choice of 1 lobster with 1 claw then getting one that was totally different and smaller but being charged 96 euros for poor quality. Total rip off place. Wine overpriced... will never eat here again. Be forewarned you will be disappointed. The fish soup was also over powered with dill. Impossible to eat it all.
I have had much better elsewhere. I am not an expert in this cuisine and maybe it was authentic however I thought the bouillabaisse was tasteless and overpriced given the bit of fish and a muscle that were included. Wine was good but also overpriced. Total 87eu for a glass of wine (18) and Bouillabaisse (69) dissapointed me. Tourist trap I reckon.

Marseille institution must to eat good fish. Their capon or scorpion stuffed with Raimu is to recommend, for the greedy gourmets !! And their rum baba reconciles you with desserts. 5 stars without hesitation, and the staff are friendly, too.

The Miranar is a restaurant well placed at the seaside with a breathtaking view. But also with an amazing menu. I ate plancha tuna at noon which must have come on foot. of digested power, not to mention the price. Avoid at all costs before they are still sick just good for a drink

What to say ... I was a little disconcerted by the prices at the start but once the dish chosen ... perfect from the beginning to the end. Amusement mouths of a finesse and exquisite taste, the dish was perfect, brought under the bell and presented as I had never seen. Miniardises and a very good dessert. Having entered the restaurant with my husband we ask a table for four people accompanied by our children. The server totally obscures them and only looks at the couple behind us.
He confirms us a table and available and invites us to follow him. Once in the center of the restaurant he becomes aware of the presence of our children and looking at us with the greatest contempt announces us gloriously "there is no more room, we are complete" and shows us the exit.
This restaurant is BANNIR your address book when you come to Marseille especially with your family. The staff is a priori contemptuous of others of their superior.

Recommended by our hotel, we made a reservation in this gastronomic place in Marseille. Along the way I looked at the reviews of Google and TripAdvisor, but we, my wife and I gave it a try.
What to say about it objectively?
In one evening we have gathered almost all the criticisms emitted.
Over an hour to get served, but that was expected.
Staff who speak little or no French, for a gastro it becomes complicated.
Gastronomic, let's talk about it, Christian Buffalo chef of this restaurant leaves us clean, tasty dishes, a little salty, of course, but really good.
Alas that does not make forgotten the wait for these.
But what makes us scandalous in the restaurant is the quality of service which has nothing to do with a gourmet restaurant.

Ordered bouillabaisse for two. Good taste and fulfilling.
Also ordered the seafood platter and was told it includes crab. When the waiter brought it over, there's no crab. We asked what happened to the crab, and then was told they sold out. Instead they gave us prawns.
The staff should have come back and inform us that crabs were sold out and asked if we still want the order. I find this a bit unprofessional for an establishment.
The staff did try to make it up by offering drinks or desserts at then on the house.
