Me and my sis came here because when we pick up food for other people, the smells are just so delicious and we had to try it out. I made my own pasta with spicy marinara sauce and grilled chicken. Geeze it was good. They give you these little loaves of bread, they are nice and hot and with a plate of olive oil and pepper to dip it in, yes please! Or dip it in the sauce of whatever you are eating, so dang good. I think the guy got a little annoyed by how much bread I wanted, but dang, don't make it so good then! The hostess was amazing by the way. We went on a weekend at 11am, there was maybe 2 or 3 other customers, so that was nice. I'd go back for sure.... at least for that bread!

So I thought I may become a regular here after I saw they has 25 cent wings on Thursdays. First time I went, it seemed like their advertising was intentionally descitful just to being people in since in fine print they put that actually its 50 cents a wing if you get sauce. Also the happy hour drink menu is so confusing even the waitress didn't really understand what fit in which category, but charged me twice what I expected for a beer in one of the 8 different beer categories that no one could identify. The second time I went, I waited at the front for some time and no one ever greeted me, so I went and sat at the bar on my own and was eventually served. My only complaint that time was waiting about an hour for the wings. Also the boneless wings are more like small Tyson chicken nuggets, not wings. Finally tonight was the last time I'll be bringing anyone here. The waitress clearly didn't know what was going on, didn't even know boneless wings were on the happy hour menu, and all of a sudden there's a limit of 10 wings per person even though I ordered more the last two visits and it says nothing about limits on the menu? Also 10 small chicken nugget sized wings is not enough. Also, two of the three times they got the wing type wrong. So the inconsistency combined with the unclear misleading advertising to get you in the door has caused me to take the time to leave this review. I've driven too far too many times for a deal that seems to be changing with whoever is working that day. Better off going to applebees. And before someone responds asking me to call to find a resolution to take this offline, why don't you respond to the readers here with what kind of solution you would offer to make your deals clearer and more consistant. I would suggest designing a less ambiguous happy hour menu and making sure staff know what's on it.

The Italian nachos are awesome and it's happy hour all day on certain items

We always have dinner here anytime we are here in Austin, the food is unreplicable but the staff here is phenomenal! Shayla was our server and her attitude and her customer service was impeccable! Thank you!

I went to eat lunch with a friend and overall the meal was amazing. From service with Mark to the quality of food. Mark took care of all of our needs including my friends peanut allergy. He went above and beyond all expectations. He made recommendations and really cared about our overall dining experience. The food was excellent and the ambiance really out the whole experience over the top.

I went with my family and we all agreed the food was edible...maybe not terrible, but it wasn't good. It wasn't anything worth the money we spent. My dish had shrimp in it, but the shrimp looked a little sketchy so I was too scared to eat it.
Waitress was nice, I guess, but didn't seem like she cared to be there. She wasn't bad, but I think the mixture of the food being blah and the waitress also being kind of blah , made the whole experience for us unpleasant.

I love this place but it's now 11:15am and the doors haven't opened, turning away three sets of customers. Customers knock and no one shows. Not a great start Carino's.

Seriously love this place. I come here about once a month and the staff is always really nice. They have amazing free bread and they always pack a couple loaves to take home when I ask. They have a couple tvs on the bar side if you want to watch a sporting event.

I went today 4/04/19 to enjoy happy hour.. never again. Food was bland, paid $25 for some pasta with a whole lot of chicken but 6 pieces of shrimp?! GET OUT OF HERE.!!! Then the nerve of these criminals to card people with virgin drinks. I had two different margaritas and neither one of them had alcohol in it... I paid my $30 bill and left my food and second drink there. WILL NEVER COME BACK...! The employees were rude as hell as well.. instead of sitting me down and telling me about the specials they re having during happy hour they walk away while asking questions. Very disrespectful, I now know to stick to baby as!!! Will never come back and guys don t spend your money !

The order was pick up. I ordered the Johnny carinos trio it was delicious.

Delicious food. Our server yesterday was amazing, forgot his name, but he was very attentive, very respectful, made me and my kids feel very welcome. My kids and I loved the food, very good portions, we needed boxes at the end. The cheesecake is to die for! Definitely will come back!

Food is average for Italian. Would much rather go to a nicer placer.

No wait. Fast and efficient service. And google is incorrect about the dine in option. It is available.

My best friend and I just waited 6 minutes at the front door to get sat, and then we proceeded to sit in our booth for 24 minutes without a waiter even greeting us.

Maybe it's good, maybe not, but we will never be back.

Awesome service! We went 10 mins before close(just now got out) fully expecting to be turned out or asked to box our order, but was greeted by a pleasant waiter who was not only super nice but also listened to all our requests. Very impressed with customer service offered! Thank you!

Well this place is no longer a vaild option in customer service. Place and order the wait 40 min with no delivery call and find out they cancelled my order with out bothering to call me to let me know. So I work late and now stuck with out food after working 13hr shift. I would lile a GM or owner of this location reach out to me.

Been here 3 times and it never disappoints. Wing special is amazing, definitely better than any other wing place!

Great deal with buy one get one. Ordered the angel hair pasta with chicken. Yum will definitely be back.

I usually really like dealing with this resturant but the staff tonight suck. Ive been hung up after a 20 min wait and now getting a busy tone or hung up on. Great costumee service tonight guys.

Staff was very friendly and helpful when recommending items from the menu...I chose to Create My Own Pepperoni Pizza, adding onions and extra cheese. I am very particular, one could even call me a Pizza Sauce Snob...well, I was blown away by the zesty flavor of their sauce, as well as the just-right crispiness and texture of the dough! Johnny Carino's is fantastic and I recommend them to anyone craving fantastic Italiano food and great ambiance! ~ STP Patton (p.s. Now salivating all over my desk ;-) )

First time experiencing Johnny Carino'a and it was wounderful. Some of the best Italian food I've had in a very long time not failing to mention the service.

One of the worst I've been to and awful dining experience. It's a good example of why I don't do these kind of chains. First the menu listed drinks without prices. We asked the waiter and he said "I think this one is "like $8" or something. "Tell me what drink you want and I'll find out the price". Really?!? Next, I unwrap my utensils to find a dirty fork and a filthy napkin complete with dried sauce on it. I wanted to leave right then but my wife wanted to give it a try. I had the lobster ravioli. It was horrible. I think Chef Boyardee makes better pasta. My wife also asked several times for a lemon wedge for her water. She ended up walking to the bar and grabbing some herself. The waiter finally brought lemins when he brought our check. Seriously, that was when. I will NEVER go back.

Ordered delivery got wrong items. Jonny carino's blames it on door dash said nothing they can do. Never again.

Best Ceaser Salad and Best spicy shrimp and chicken pasta ever also the bread is so so good. By far the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. The lady that helped us was also so nice and sweet.

Went for the buy 2 get 2 free and very glad we got it. Same tasty pastas but heard that changes were going to be made to the atmosphere. They are going to make it into a tavern/pub, add burgers, wings but still have same pasta dishes. Not a fan of this idea but we'll be back to see how its incorporated into Italian dining.

I like Italian food and I love pasta. Honestly though, the pasta here felt like it was lacking flavor (I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken), the sauce tasted a bit bland and if I needed a refill on my drink it was kind of hard for me to get my waitress attention.

Great service. We got together for a birthday and they took good care of us. Put our cake in the fridge for us, and made sure our friend was taken care of. Our waiter and the manager took care of our group. I would recommend them for big gatherings. Will not screw things up with multiple orders, multiple tickets, and people moving around. All with friendly smiles.

Happy hour is nice, not crazy crowded or loud. Get an appetizer and drinks for two and it's a wonderful Wednesday night!

i would really rate it 3.5/5. good enough food but expensive for the quality other than happy hour or family night. not a bad bar with 5 or 6 tvs. atmosphere is nothing special but not bad either. it is basically the definition of "pretty good".

Needed Express service lunch and the staff was very accommodating and food was delicious!

Hmm... So I asked for water with lemon and I had received water without lemon. Then I asked for dressing on the side for the salad and I got the salad with dressing on it. Half way thru my salad the waiter told me that they are out of lobster so I had to change my order...and salmon was burned on one side. Nobody came to ask me how my food was! Sad, very sad!

The French dip was tasteless and 1000 calories. The wings were tasteless. The best part was the bread and oil we got before the meal.

It was SLOW! There weren't very many people there and it took forever to get drinks & the food. Food & prices were good, but the service was very lacking. I wont be back anytime soon.

The Family Plater of Lemon Rosemary Chicken was half off and the portions were huge to say the least. Our bartender Tara was just fantastic, best service we ve received at this carinos! We ll be back for sure next week.

Great tiramisu, pasta, and friendly service! The manager is very friendly and welcoming, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his employees and customers.

Always the best quality food no matter if it's busy there it not. The wait staff never gets frustrated with us even when we go through 8 breads and a cup of olive oil. Lol. Best service best food!

awful! My order was wrong & as a first timer, I didn t know that. Not that big of a deal, but heres what was, I was asked by one of the waiters if we were in debt just because my husband and I asked for our dinners to be paid separately (he ll pay for his, I ll pay for mine). I have 2 witnesses who heard that. Maybe it s wrong, but we did not leave a tip because of that as I found this uncalled for and upsetting. Worst service ever! We will never come back!

Fod was over seasoned, over cooked. There was no hostess and everyone just kind of looked at us. Other customers started seating themselves. The cook was constantly yelling. Our waiter was great and tried to make it better. Overall it felt poorly managed, improperly staffed, and not super clean. My food was left under the broiler too long, my cheese was hard.

Food was good, bar was great. Poor waiter did a good job with our last minute 17+ group, considering he was the only one working at the moment.

Ordered gluten free pasta and a salad without croutons but was served a breaded chicken breast. Not very safserv aware.

The chicken was the same texture as the noodles in the fettuccine alfredo. No good at all.

My girlfriend and I come in a few times a month to enjoy the HH wine and some pasta at the bar top.. We love chatting with staff and our bartender Tara always takes amazing care of us. We always tell her I don t know how you do it all .

Love to do lunch on Tuesdays at Carino's. Largest Pasta Pronto meals are 2 for 1. Latoya, in the bar area, is a great waitress and bartender.

Ordered Johnny Carino's from uber eats for dinner tonight. Such a dissapointment. Ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo. The pasta sauce was flavorless. The chicken was SHREDDED. Not a breast. It was like taken off a rotisserie chicken or something. Ew. All around gross pasta. Girlfriend and i both hated it. The ceasar salad had onion, tomato and carrot (?!) on it. The tiramisu was so alcoholic i feared i might get drunk. Never again.

1st off the managers dont need to yell at their employees at my table i dont want to hear that when im eating. 2nd the chef in the kitchen doesnt know how to cook pasta cause it was hard and not cooked all the way. 3rd the salad tasted like fish for some reason disgusting. 4th that was the worst chicken fettuccini ive ever had. Everything was so bland and didnt have flavor. Wouldnt be surprised if this placed didnt exist next year.

Great staff, I don't know if they got a new cook but their steak are cooked to perfection now.

We stop in every so often to watch the game and enjoy the Thursday wing special. The food is always great and it helps that the bartender is very quick on her feet and doesn t miss a beat even with so many patrons.

Ambiance, food and drinks all are perfect. Didn't give 5 stars as I ordered veg salad but was served with chicken, which eventually they replaced.

We come in every Wednesday for the 1/2 off wine bottles & there Lobster Ravioli. We always sit at the bar top to have tara serve us. Shes got a great laid back attitude. We really enjoy the atmosphere there

Great service, but the food tasted bad. My wife and I ordered the chicken alfredo, the chicken tasted old. Not here to slander, I want others to get their money's worth.

Not the Carinos I remember. We ordered the Italian Nachos as a starter as I d had it in the past and it had been really good. When the server brought the plate it looked NOTHING like the picture in the menu and was missing some ingredients. Just kind of thrown together. The wait staff was perfectly friendly, but, altogether, service was slow in a nearly empty restaurant. I had also asked to sub something and the server didn t know if it was possible, so they said they d ask, but then they never came back. My food came and it was kind of what I wanted? But I d rather had just gone a different direction and ordered something else if they d told me my request wasn t possible. Not a completely horrible experience, the entrees were okay, just left me missing the old Carinos experiences I d had.

Creamy and delicious! If you have kiddos look fornseating near the TV they usually have cartoons on (or you can ask them) staff was courteous and we were very well served.
