I've never been to Iowa but we went out for my son's wedding this summer. Someone recommended the pavilion to me. I felt like a little kid in a candy store. It was so much fun. I'd like to sit in all of the machines. My kids loved it. My wife liked it for the first 30 minutes but didn't understand why I wasn't bored after 2 hours. If you're ever near this place go here.

Very nice place to go and visit for the first time. You can jump into most of big John Deer machine or trucks and imagine yourself driving :D

There is a corner for kids where there are books for reading, gears to play with and bridges to construct in addition to small toy cars and other amazing stuff.

Very nice mini museum with ability to jump into the cab of many of the machines. Rare ability to get up close and personal with some heavy machinery and harvesters. Also, helpful staff on hand to answer any questions.

The John Deere Pavillion is a really neat place to see if you are even just remotely interested in Deere, machinery, or farming. It's free (unlike the Caterpillar museum in Peoria) and has a nice round of displays and equipment, most of which you can climb into. There are simulators to try your hand at running a loader or excavator. Next door is a gift shop with the John Deere logo on everything imaginable.

This place is incredible. Kids get to climb on and see all sorts of equipment. The staff is really good with the kids. In April they have duck hatching and we were able to see one come out of its shell. The kids were absolutely fascinated by it.

Great place for family with kids and non-farm background adults. I'm from a farm background and a little let down. I'm planning on visiting JD tractor museum in Waterloo hoping it is larger.

Oh man, this place is great - and free! You must go here if you're in town or nearby. If you have children you must go, they will have a blast climbing on all the tractors. There is a lot of history here and you could easily spend an hour looking around.

While the displays are beautiful, there is a lack of something....multiculturalism! Though there is over a hundred pictures only 3 identified people of a minority race! Shame on you John Deere I didn't know only white people work for you and are your customers!

Staff is very friendly! Alot of amazing JD machines throughout the generations. Fun section for children to play. They also have some cool simulators to play. Definitely a good informative place to teach kids about agriculture and farming in general.

This is a fantastic place for people that are fans of tractors and movers. If you've got small kids they will love it. They can climb in and on almost all the equipment in the pavilion.

Took my dad to see new tractors and farming technology. He was really disappointed there were no old tractors and that it wasn't bigger. But we did have a lot of fun. Especially when he was trying to "plant his own crop"
