Joey Joey Joey ... what can I say, it s actually pretty decent place for dinner or any occasion. Food taste delicious and love the different type of bowls they offer.

Tried their hummus appetizer and it just hit the spot. Taste very delicious and couldn t be happier.

I d say it s close to 5 stars but service can be hit and miss based on my multiple visits here.

Went for Lunch on Sunday.

Ordered Rotisserie Chicken Dinner. Dry in texture and over salted. There was some attempt to season the chicken breast & back, but it just tasted like salt and brine. Rice was overly wet.

The butter chicken was standard. Nothing stellar with exception of the warm naan and crisp.

Burger sliders were ok. Side of Fries were probably the best out of the 4 items meal items.

The Chocolate Lava cake takes a bit to prep... and almost anything chocolate can inherently redeem itself.

Service was routine. No complaints.

Food and atmosphere was excellent. I got the Steak Frites, and the steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were tasty, and the salad was also nice.

One thing that was kind of annoying was that I finished eating, a waitress took my plate, and then I think the staff forgot about me because I was just twiddling my thumbs for 20 minutes waiting for someone to give me the bill.

Washrooms were clean and upscale, though I criticize the 'artistic' tap design because the big red obvious valve handle on the tap/pipe does nothing - you have to hit a button off to the side to make it work. Minor gripe though.

Came here for the first time for my sister's birthday and we had a great experience. The food was good and the service was amazing! Our server May went above and beyond to make the night special for us, she was definitely the highlight of our experience. We'll for sure be coming back!

ATMOSPHERE: 4.5 stars; casual; modern; spacious; lighting is odd at certain tables.
FOOD: 5 stars; the JOEY downtown has a slightly better taste I find; the food is well-seasoned and served at the right temperature; plating is excellent; interesting cooking methods are used; most dishes are exclusive and original; food quality is consistent.

Joey's is my go-to spot! The service is great, the food is yummy, all the staff are friendly. I had my birthday here and they were able to accommodate 15+ just a week before the event. It's a really great place to catch a game, hang out, or for date night!

went for my first visit and food was excellent service was extremely slow considering they weren't busy any many waitresses appeared to be working.

Great food. Service is hit or miss, but it atmosphere makes up for it. Fun place to enjoy drinks and dinner.

Very nice setting and place for a meal....Love the setting at night and quick service and waitress was very polite and kind. Will definitely go back.

Trash service, everything they did took long. Even getting our change took at least 30 minutes. There was mandatory 18% tips for some reason. It was a dumb place

Apple pie is really good. Get it with maple ice cream

Friday Night - Service overall was 2/10. And that is being generous. Took so long get our orders, and get our 2nd round, and get our bill. Ice cream on our apple pie was near melted so it was pretty much just cream when it got on our table.
I served too.... my gf served too.... and we are at shocked at how our service is, just because we ordered just drinks and dessert. Disappointed.

We stopped by for the new happy hour specials, which are offered every day after 9pm. Some of the items on the menu are a better deal than others, but overall the value is quite good compared to having to pay regular price. The atmosphere was nice and it wasn't too busy, even on a Friday night.

The food was consistent (good), and service was speedy, friendly, and attentive. However, the restrooms were disgusting and in need of a cleaning.

I wasnt the biggest fan of Joey's due to a bad experience at a different location. But after having the opportunity of meeting Yalda, I am definitely coming back. She was super friendly, accommodating and on point overall! If there was an option to give a 6 star review on Google instead of 5, I would give her 7!

It was ok. Food was fine, service was good. Because Markham is expanding, there are more options of restaurants, therefore I wouldn't come back to Joey's. I remembered liking this restaurant, but unfortunately the standard is different now.

The daily Happy Hour late night menu #Deliciousness and super affordable. More date night will be happening here for sure.
Wings Sliders and Yam fries with 2 Peach Bellini

We went to Joey on mothers day and there was a long line of cars out front waiting to pick up an order.
We tried to call in but the lines were busy and nobody answered. I went to the front and spoke to the hostess and she said that they were way behind on orders and aren't taking anymore.
I asked if she could make an order of just meal kits, and she said she could do that for me. We waited 30 minutes for our kits but when they were ready they called me and brought them out to our car. Exceptional service even on the busiest days. Will be ordering again.

Had veggie burgers with yam fries. Good portion on the burgers but fries are a little scant, despite charge to upgrade. Service was friendly and quick for fresh made to order food.

Very slow and restaurant not busy. Food was good but not happy with service.

Atmosphere is great. Went there for girls night. Sat out on the patio. Stayed practically all night staff didn't make us feel like we has to rush out after eating. Even had dessert which was awesome. Staff was friendly more than willing to help us. One hostess mixed up our bills but will overlook it.

I go there for the crispy mashed potatoes!!!! Service was great. The food is super yum.

Food is okay, slow on the order and the waitresses are too busy

The service is horrible. We were waiting for 15min and no one came by our table to even ask us for drinks. My husband had to falg the waiter down, and when she came she did not even apologize for the wait. This is the second time this has happened to us at this location.

JOEY was a great choice. Went here with my girlfriend and we had a great time, our server Eleni made it an excellent experience. Food was great, service was great, 10/10 would go again.

They served champagne to people who were waiting. They served to white people and ignored the colored people. Food was good. Subtle racism killed it.

Ordered the salmon and it was fully raw on the inside. I have never seen anyone cook salmon like this and never would you have to request that its fully cooked. Also note I am pregnant and cannot eat raw food. It was cooked like how an ahi tuna steak was cooked. Waitress sent it back to have to fully cooked and it came back hot but still just as raw on the inside. Waitress was very pleasant and the mashed potatoes were amazing. It's too bad they ruined my experience with the salmon.

This is a very good restaurant to hang with family. The hand pressed burger and lava cake. :) are the best!

Although the restaurant itself and the atmosphere was quite nice, can't say the same about the service. Took a while to get seated, only to be ignored for the next 15 minutes before leaving.

I had the Bistro w/ Rotesserie Chicken with fries and gravy. It was hearty and filling. The wings r nothing to write home abt though. The server was very helpful in helping me make a choice on which dishes to choose

Good menu, but the table maintenance was extremely poor. The waitress after she billed us did not even clear the plates from the table. It takes 20 seconds to remove the dirty plates from the table. She brought us the bill,then went back to take the machine and did not even clear the table. Very careless and inattentive

Great place to shop. They're always adding in newer and better stores.

Only downside is I don't feel it's as family friendly as Yorkdale. We're always rushing to get to the elevators - you can find them all around but there's always a line-up. There's also very few family washrooms.

Parking - it's always bad. Expect to walk a great deal during peak hours.

Don't even think about coming during holidays/Black Fridays/Boxing day...

Always such a good time and great service when we go here! My (almost 2 year old) daughter loves Joey Markville and gets excited when we tell her we are going! And they love her there. They always recognize her and treat her like a little VIP. We love all the food there, we haven't tried anything we don't like. Plus their Happy Hour menu is amazing with such a variety of choices which makes us pick Joey Markville for early dinner times when we are out! My daughter's favourite thing to eat here is the Chili Chicken and she also loves their Rosemary Fries! We have already decided we are bringing her here as part of her Birthday outing next month!

Happy hour deals are really good. Service was very good too.

Very nice ... I had fish tacos with "grilled" not battered Basa and shrimp that were delicious. A gathering place meeting up with friends, although a little loud.

Food is always great here. Service are usually top notch but can have hiccups here and there.

My server Bryer was AMAZING super attentive and very well informed! I dined with my 4 year old twin girls and she was very kind to them also Robin, Neli & Paige came by and spoke with my twins and were also very kind and helpful when my girls spilled their water in our booth. Overall an amazing experience thank you so much for making this night out one that was less stressful and for being so kind to my chatty twins! Cheers!

Great place and amazing hosts. The only negative is they dont take reservations and long wait time if u go with family.

Amazing food, the atmosphere is also spectacular. We loved every second of our night out and had tons of fun. Our waitress was also amazing and very freindly!

Love the food here! Restaurant is beautiful and waitstaff are always so friendly. It s nice when they take a little bit of time to talk to you and suggest their faves at the restaurant. Atmosphere is nice and although it caters more to adults they are accommodating when you have a toddler. It s on the pricey side, but worth it for the exceptional quality of food, always on point!

Burgers are good. Large portion for a decent price. Their coffee is not the greatest but will do if you need your daily caffeine.

Food was pretty good with the service was slow. Good place to get afternoon bevies with the ladies. Happy hour from 3 to 6 and after 9 everyday!

Have been going there for years. Any Food you order is great. The service is amazing especially that we have been going there for years. If servers
mess up the manager makes up for it in very generous ways.

Went to Joey last night for some drinks and food. Server Yalda was amazing & made great Recommendations like the watermelon mojito. Would definitely go back.

I have been to this place many times but I have never been able to provide feedback so today I am taking the effort to say something. The place is pretty nice and cozy, we got a table away from the regular crowd which was great. The server came thru and took our drinks order but also recommended me their balini drink which was really delicious. The food was great too but it s a bit expensive for the portion they give you, we were still hungry after our main course so we ended up ordering some appetizers. The apple pie is mouthwatering and delicious. Overall we had a really good experience but if they increase their portion for the main course it would be better because the money paid for is a bit pricey so you might as well get what you should.

The bar area needs bigger TVs for sports .. and not enough TVs.. depending on where ur sitting u might not be able to watch cause ur back to towards the TV.

Happy hour menus are great, food price for drinks and food, and service at the bar are always great. Only complain is the happy hour and too early, and sushi cone is only one single cone, the garlic fries/set potato fries are much better choice

We dine there this past Monday evening and it is unfortunate for me to say it is not the best high-price fusion restaurant I would pick again. The only reason we went was because one of our friends was at Markville mall shopping. Firstly to get out of the way the location and atmosphere/decor of Joey is great. But from a pricing/service/food perspective I think it is debatable. Firstly our server was awful in terms of timeliness and care which honestly for the price we are paying it was definitely disappointing. Once our food arrived we were midway or close to finishing our meal before somebody came to check on us and there were some opinions on the cooking but we just decided to let it go since we were all hungry and also have a child with us. Secondly the interval of service was honestly beyond our expectation for a restaurant of such calibre, despite being busy I don't think there are excuses for it as we have dined in more economic places and the service was better then what we recieved. (i.e. Milestones, Moxie's etc.). So my experience in Joey's is overall sorely disappointing for the price we pay. We did enjoy Joey's when it first opened in DonMills mall, but there was a reason we were never patrons again for a while, and it is unfortunate that the time we try still disappointed us. Good luck guys! Hopefully you guys have a better experience then I did.

Great atmosphere and service. Food is a little pricey, but that's just Joey in general. The food has always been excellent and I have never left unsatisfied in any way. Their spring roll mashed potatoes are just amazing with any steak you choose. Give their chili chicken starter a shot and make sure not to leave without trying their maple ice cream and apple pie.

Great place for everybody. Food. Service and quality is top notch. Prices are fair. The inside of the restaurant/bar is really supurb. I have been here many times and I'm always looking forward to my next visit. Come on a date. Bring the family for dinner. Or even come for some beer and drinks. Also if you come during the day can hit up the mall after or before.
