Typical Joe's Crab shack. Happy hour is okay at best. Service was quite lacking.

Had the Ragin Cajun steamer and requested it to be extra spicy. They did add a lot Kore seasoning and it was delicious. We sat outside and had a great view of the ocean. The service was good as well. I do not remember our servers name but I do remember she was from the Ukraine. My husband had the Red fish 'n lobster & he was very pleased with it as well. He did mention the rice tasted like it had been cooked in dirty water but he was so hungry he ate most of it. :)

Food was good, but service was questionable. Sever took my drink and never returned until I got another drink from another server about 10 minutes later.

The portions were small compared to other Joe's crab snacks I've been to and the food was terrible I ordered the fried catfish and it tasted like it was fried in old cooking grease the only positive was the waiter

Loved this place. Great service and good food. A little pricy but it is sea food. Our server Benny was really nice and a really funny guy. Would 100%recommend comming here and requesting him!!!

We came here for a dinner with my mother and it was BAD. Our server (not going to say names) was unprofessional and very unorganized he couldn t even put down multiple plates. Now, you can tell at least my dish was microwaved because it was hot on top and cold on the bottom. Sadly when we ordered refills for our drinks they never came until the end. Anyways the service was bad, food was mediocre and there are much better places to eat here

After going to gaidos, nicks, bricks all on the seawall only to be denied service because of our dog even though there were outside patios, Joes not only allowed us to eat with our dog but even offered him a water bowl.

Service was extremely slow. Was ignored by waiters. Food was very mediocre. My entree was so salty, I couldn't eat it. Multiple people's orders arrived wrong or cold. We ended up going next door to Brickhouse and eating appetizers there, while doing some drinking.

I love to eat here when i visit Galveston, its right on the beach and its a great location to watch the fireworks from on the 4th of July

Terrible service and the seasoning to the food was just thrown on top. Took forever to get seated and then took forever for our food. Went to Landrys the next day and ate for half the price at Joe's and the food and service was excellent. Do not waste your time of money here.

We loved it! Ate there for my Son's 10th birthday. We could tell they were very busy & short staffed. Our food was delicious, worth the wait ANDDD the staff made sure to sing Happy Birthday to our guy... We Would DEFINITELY Recommend, You Won't Be Disappointed!!!

Kora ! If kora is EVER your server your are in the right hands! Impeccable! And without delay. Her patience with the kids was GREAT and she was so fast at times I didnt even see her come thru. Stuff just appeared disappeared and re-appeared. I had a snafu and she was great about everything. EARNED HER TIP & THEN SOME!

The wait is ridiculous to start, blame the tourists and covid-19 but the reduced menu options suck! Not 1 lobster option and the shrimp options sucked as well. I won't go back!

Hostess ignored us and we stood there until she finished her conversation about her weekend. But the awesome waitress and manager made up for it with their friendliness and hard work. Food was good. Was a super busy day and under scheduled on staff because it is normally not a busy day. (ITC fires pushed everyone to Galveston) They couldn't figure out why so many people. But the waitress and manager hustled!

Great food, fun atmosphere. Kids loved the playground out on the Patio too!! Def will recommend....

Food was great. Cheyenne came over to our table when we had a question about the lobster. She showed my son how to crack it. Literally made the meal awesome bc of how great she was!

Had a horrible experience from walking in the door to when we left. The host was very nice and kept providing updates on our table but the manager stepped in and kept him from making any accommodations for us. We had a party of 5 which 2 were children. Several parties were seated before us and we were told there were no tables available for a party of 5 and we would just have to wait until someone "got up and left". I asked if we could sit outside, the manager said no, nothing was available and was very short and rude with his reply. We were seated outside after that and there were plenty of tables. Our waitress was very sweet but clearly overbooked with a party of 17 in addition to us. We were told they were out of things that we saw other customers get, when we asked about it "the truck just came in". Ok. Also, our food finally came out but it was not our order so we waited again. The food was good but not warm as it had been sitting in the kitchen a while since there was a mix up. The staff was all fine but it is clear that the manager is not professional nor does he run the restaurant in an organized manner. We asked to speak to him but he was very dismissive of us and never acknowledged any of the issues we had experienced. We usually love Joes and I'm not one to complain but this was too bad not to leave a review.

I love joes but by far the worst. Took forever to pay and spoke with two managers who did nothing, keep going don't stop!

It was great. Our waiter was the best wait staff we have had in a long time.
And the view outside was beautiful, full moon on the water.

Well Joe's on the island continues to disappoint. Food order was wrong and cold. Manager was snippy and not helpful at all. Have had a bad experience at this location in the past. Lesson learned..will not be back

Besse was our server and she greeted us with a big smile and a hello.Started off our lunch great.Had the fire balls for appetizers. Good and fresh.can actually taste the crab.Ordered the shrimp and fish for main course. This is a national chain restaurant so the service and atmosphere makes up the difference of average tasting food.
Store was clean and appealing. Washrooms where clean.
Good place for quick lunch.

Well while itd Mardi gra weekend and the weathers lovely that's the only thing that made this experience some what pleasurable. Servers were long with food like 1 hr for our drinks and like 3 clams. SMH

We liked the food here and atmosphere. For the food it serves, seafood, and its location the prices are reasonable.

I go to joes crab shack alot but this is my first time coming to the galveston location. I was not impressed because I had flies bothering me the whole time and landing on my food and I ordered the queen crab legs with the spicy seasoning and it tasted like nothing. I will not come back to this joes again.

Really good seafood, a bit pricey but pretty normal for seafood. The staff gave excellent service and was very friendly. If you get the crab boil, don't expect the potatoes and corn to be seasoned. That was the only downside for me, the crab was really good but those items that came with it where very bland and not cooked very well. The highlight of the evening for me was the chocolate cake, was moist and chocolatey and delicious, I ate a whole slice by myself! Would go back just for the cake if it was closer.

Really, why are you even open for business? You served me red fish that was from a farm. The flavor was so sickening and musty I couldn't get past one bite, and I can and will eat anything. I sent the fish back for chicken wings and they tasted like hard boiled chicken skin. How can anyone mess up a chicken wing? It smelled like stink, raw chicken, pungent. Ew. One bite and couldn't eat that either. A raw one with paprika and salt sprinkled on it would have tasted better. Will never go here again. I remember when this was a fun place to eat, with great food. Total disappointment. What has happened to this place??

I wish I could give negative stars... the food here was served room temperature. The staff was kind however it doesn t make up for the terrible display of food presented by their kitchen. Never come here.

Food took a very long time to come out and it was not all correct. The restaurant was not busy at all it was 230 in the afternoon no reason for 40min ticket times! :( I wont come back to this location !

Didn't even stay. Got seated, it's 91 degrees outside and they have no working A/C. We left. Not going to sit and sweat trying to enjoy lunch.

This was my first time at Joe s Crab Shack. My wife and I had the Best waiter. His name was Jaymes Jenkins. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He made our meal and first visit memorable. I will make a point to visit him again. Everyone Jaymes worked at the Galveston Texas location on the Seawall. Visit Jaymes for the best time and the best meal.

The waiter was terrible. He had an attitude toward my family and he barely came to check on us. We came in a group of 8 and we were not allowed to sit together, while other people in groups of 6 and 8 were allowed to sit together. The food was terrible and basic. Slow service. Its like taco bell trying to be real Mexican food

Will not go back.. Crab cakes tasted like cat food smells. Old oil..service was slow considering it was 2p.m. on a Tuesday.

kids order burgers and one adult ordered burgers you could not even eat them they would have been better as a hard ball lol!! They are way understaffed

Our waitress was fantastic and so fun! We were seated quickly (1 PM on a Saturday with a party of 8) and enjoyed every bit of food that came out. We'll definitely be back!

Love this place..wish there was one in Houston but we love to take the drive to the beach....I usually get the clam chowder or fish & chips...the crabs are a little pricey but the service & atmosphere is great

This is the absolute worse managed and operated place I have been. Waited over two hours to be seated. Then when I came in they said I didn't answer a page to my phone which I never got then hostess wanted to argue with me about whether or not i got the page. Seated now hopefully inside experience is better. Most likely will not waste my time here again

Everything was over cooked if not burned. I expected more for the price.

OMG the food totally rocked, the server was ok she just seemed um.... preoccupied.

Have came here every time we've come to Galveston and it's our favorite place to eat when in town. Amazing food and good service. Our son loves to play in the kids area while we wait for our food. Keke was our waitress, she was attentive and had a wonderful attitude.

The waiter forgot to put one of the parties food order in and he had to wait almost an hour for a chicken sandwich. We were comp. only for the sandwich. He could have taken more off of our bill because we had to wait for the party to eat.

The steam pots are the best! My favorite is the ragin Cajun. My son ordered popcorn shrimp and it was very good too. Nice place to go with family.

We had a party of 18 and Benito waited on us. Probably one the best dining experiences we have had. He took our drink orders while the table was being setup and once we sat down our drinks arrived and all of them were correct without writing a single one down. The adults ordered alcohol and the drinks were out quick and tested great. He brought out the the food orders quickly made sure all drinks were full the entire meal. Great experience the dude was f'ing awesome.
