I d have to say this place has a lovely staff however the food itself is of the lowest presentation quality I ve ever had. I will never return here.

High energy crew! The atmosphere was upbeat. The whole wait staff dance together to good music. Waiter was prompt and very informative!

I bit disappointed in all of it. The $20 meal consisted of a tiny fish filet, 3 shrimp, and a tiny dish of mac-n-cheese. Fish-n-chips was tasteless and the music was annoyingly loud. Will not be back.

Nee young lady was good, first time there and it was her second day...she's a keeper..

I'd give it -0 stars if I could. I just left out of that place a few minutes before writing this ( August 21, 2020). I injured my hand from their door handle. I told the manager and she seemed very skeptical and said "how can someone get injured from a door?" Very rude and unprofessional. My hand is still in pain. I sure hope I won't need medical attention, because I can't afford it. I won't return to this location and probably anymore Joe's shacks. God will deal with you.

Always a great place for seafood. Love sitting outside with the ocean breeze. Drinking a good mug of cold beer. Great employees. 5 stars for location and employees.

My waiter was gay rubbing another guys nipple, food sucked, employees are poor, bathrooms smell like crap,DON'T GO

Capt platter was very good. Has a play place for our grandson. The birds walked all around us outside. It was fun.

That food always taste homemade. I love it when my husband treats me to Joe's.

Service was okay, but the food is way overpriced. It is higher than other Joe's that aren't in tourist locations.

This place is straight trash. They give you barely any food and charge you as if you were eating at a buffet. Never coming again I don t know how they are still in business. Trash baby trash.

We ate at the bar, service was awesome. Greeters at the door were way off base and the table seating was terrible

Food was great, and so was the service, Shrimp trio was my favorite.

Wasn't pleased expensive crab for almost nothing in the bucket. Terrible service by our waiter. Others seemed to be doing well.

We had just got off a cruise ship, too early to check into hotel so stopped off for food.

SO we went to eat on 4/6/17 at the Galveston location. Our bill was over 120.00, and let me tell you that it wasn't worth it.
Our waiter ( Donald) was MIA most of the time. He even forgot to put in part of our order.
The snow crab was very mushy, and the crab dip was off tasting. EVERYONE got diarrhea within 20 minutes of leaving.
We never saw a manager to complain to.
I even went to the website that night, and logged a complaint, but no one has gotten back to me yet.
I know we will not be back to that location ever, and most likely we will not return to any Joe's after being shown that the company doesn't care about it's customers enough to even email one back.

Someone forgot to watch the fryer! Chicken bites over cooked!

Excellent service - mediocre seafood. Most of our tasted pre-prepared. Neither terrible nor good. Just not great.

Good overall experience. We arrived around 3:30pm, Joe's was busy but not super busy. We waited longer 10 minutes for any service, not sure why. We saw people who were seated after us get service before us. That is always frustrating. I stopped one of the staff as she walked by, and got our drinks order in then our wait staff guy showed up. After that it was all good. Food was awesome.

Had a great time eating crab for the first time ever! My server was Gloria and she was awesome and super sweet! She even knew what fish I could eat since I'm expecting. It was a great Easter Sunday at Joe's on the seawall on Galveston Island!

Very tasty food with a very friendly server. It is a little pricy.

Great outdoor place to eat. Fabulous food. Even has a sand pit for kids,to play in. You can enjoy the surf and seagulls while you eat.

They redeemed themselves on this trip! I use to not be a fan of Joes but their new way of steaming their pots which is with NOTHING then you choose whay they add to it later is AWESOME! I can't handle spicy things so just some garlic butter on my show crab legs bucket were AMAZING!

I was there with 11 people, technically 12 but the 2 month old didn't eat he slept the whole time lol. We had 4 kids and 6 adults. We had amazing service! We were celebrating friendship & my husband passing a test for his license! Our server never let our drinks get low, she constantly checked on our needs and was amazing. I wished I could remember her name but ive got a bad memory!

Everyone went home with stuffed bellies and ready to go to bed, except the kids who got their 20th wind while the adults were ready to sleep. Food was great & service was awesome I highly recommend this Joes!

Great food, wonderful outside shaded area right across from ocean with playset for kids! Our server Andy was fantastic!

Great friendly service. Atmosphere is great. Food was prepared well. Just a touch on the expensive side.

The server Jessica was amazing. Looked very under staffed with no helping hands. The hosts were yelling at each other. Crab cakes were full of shells. But again, bartender and server were great to us. Hard times during covid but we waited an hour for the food for subpar food quality.

Get the steam pots. They are awesome. Didn't like being outside with the flies.

As soon as we walked In, a white female with a black shirt and red hair rolled her eyes, turned her back, and proceeded to give us the fakest greeting we'd ever seen. Made a face and was bothered that we were there. My husband and myself were there celebrating our wedding anniversary and as soon as we saw the behavior we immediately wanted to walk out. I will not be coming back to this hostile environment. If I could put a review without a star I would have TRUST ME.

This is an awesome place. Food is great. Staff was wonderful. Such a pleasant place.

I would give it zero stars if I had the choice. GM has horrible customer service. No introduction or name giving of GM. Will not be returning because of GM . Server was WONDERFUL. If I return would only be because of the server. Food was dry. And nasty

Love this place, I love coming and seeing James he is truly amazing at his job. Great food, drinks and staff.

Food was not good, host staff was incredibly rude, and the waiter took our plates before we were even finished eating without asking.

Food was good, service not so much! Waitress repeatedly tried to talk us out of ordering the Snow Crab Steampot. She said that other customers send it back all the time because the shells are empty, not much meat, etc. We insisted that was what we wanted. After that, she slung our drinks down on the table, along with drinks. She sloshed melted butter over the table, didn't offer to wipe it up, we did. The crab legs were really good, despite what she said. So, repeat, the food was good, the service, not so much!

Environment was very nice and friendly the staff was very patient and very friendly everything was good till we got back to Baytown Texas I don't know if I just got sick or what but it was horrible I ended up throwing up almost to our house we got a big bucket snow crab legs and cheese sticks the food did not have a bad taste to it but I was the only one that got sick

Food was it that great. Service was horrible, it took 20 minutes to even get greeted by our server and then she passed us off to someone else. The "limit two" drinks tasted like koolaid. And the shark bite was supposed to come with a souvenir shark tube but they were out. Will not be back to this location not a good experience for my first time at a Joe's Crab Shack.

The crab was awesome but it is very time consuming. The playground is okay but covered in sand.

I think it was shity of Joe's Crab shack to use an excuse that there was too many bugs outside for us to eat on the patio with all the rest of the people, and that there was a 30-minute wait for this be seated inside when they was quitting cables to set at... Are they wanted to close early or they had to say so and put out a F'n sign.... Really!!!

Looking at lotttttts of empty tables, but hostess is too interested in gangster host boy to attend to the people waiting. Totally understand why Fertita got rid of the one in Kemah.

Service was great with Ishmael. My mouth waters just thinking about BBQ crab legs and unfortunately Joe's has changed the recipe. Bummer!

Food wasnt good at all and the service was decent at best. I had coconut shrimp and it made me sick. The portion size is great and the shrimp were big. But the taste not so much. I did like their appetizer, I believe we had the sampler.

We were here at 6pm Friday evening. It is usually really crowded, but we still get good service and good food. Today, however, it wasn t busy but we received really bad service from out waitress. We actually had a different lady get us refills and a guy dressed in management clothing got us a refill as well. Not indicative of the usual. Fish was well cooked but the shrimp was over cooked.

A bit busy this holiday, but service is as fast as it can be and food is on the mark.

Was just alright but in fairness in not a crab eater, my friends drug me there. They seemed to love it.

Food is amazing. Portions are big and worth the money. Try the 24 shrimp, or the red fish blackened. Deserts are not expensive at all and portions are more than 99% of restaurants out there.

We haven't been to Joe's in a very long time. The crabs were awesome and so was the grilled chicken!

Meh...over priced seafood. Small portions mediocre service. I was not impressed. Cut the advertising budget and increase the portions. I mean come on the ocean is just across the street its not like you have to fly the stuff in from North Dakota.

Just plan terrible. There is nothing good to say about this place.
