How do you mess up a single salad 3 times? This was our first and last time at any Joe's Crab Shack. This franchise is way over rated, Fish plate was way over cook, all fried foods tasted the same as though they all were cooked in the same pot, much to pricey, waited 15 minutes just to get our bill so we could leave.

Enjoyed the food and the excellent service by our server JoJo! She was very nice to recommend items off the menu that we had yet to try! I will definitely come back!

If you go in the summer months it will always be extremely packed as with everything else in Galveston. The best part about Joe's Crab Shack is that you can order drinks while you wait to be seated. The food was good and they have a great drink selection. Everybody was extremely friendly.

Joe's knows! It has been a while since I visited...very happy I went tonight Paul was our waiter and he never left us wanting for anything. The food was wonderful and the quality and quantity was proportional to the price. The Landry"s family of restaurants always seems to make the grade. Kuddos!

I think the waiter was my favorite part of our visit. I don't remember the young man's name unfortunately, but he works at the Galveston location and he's a tall black man, very nice and on point!
However, I was so disappointed in my food. I had been CRAVING gumbo for literally over a year, but I rarely get the chance to eat seafood. So we were having a big family dinner of around 16 people and I got....GUMBO. Oh, I was so excited....until it came out. The meat in it tasted old and not like chicken or whatever it was. Then, the shrimp still had shells on it so I'm crunching into shell and munching on mystery meat....never again.

The crab boil was great! Donald's service was awesome!!!

Love the food here, lil pricey for mediocre food but hey I came 2 eat while having a good time at Galveston.

The food is well cooked, but really expensive. Like, $18 for an average plate expensive.

And they're really skimpy on the sides.

We had a great time and the food was really good. It was a lot of fun and clean and the staff are the best.

I got shrimp tacos from the food truck down the street that tasted way better then the shrimp tacos at this place and the wait was ridiculous after trying to get in for 3 days in a roll

Very good food and atmosphere. A little pricey but you get what you expect from a large franchise restaurant. You can count on consistency

This place was freezing cold. . The food was average. Oh, and I believe it took us a long time to get our food. Way too pricey for what we got.

Went over the Labor holiday, seemed to be the only place we could get a reservation. I got the land and sea, the shrimp was rubbery and had zero taste. As soon as I cut into the steak the blood poured out on my plate. I told my server to send it back and that I did not want it redone. He took my plate, did not apologize or asked if I wanted to see the manager.
From his reaction, it did not seem he was too surprised. Joe s Crab Shack is fast food seafood at best and could care less about customer satisfaction. As long as the summers and holidays bring in the crowd with the good restaurants are booked, this sorry excuse for a restaurant will continue to upset customers on a daily basis.

Carry was the absolute best waiter EVER! Such a great experience. We had 4 kids with us and he was so good and patient with each and everyone! He even danced and joked with them the entire time. They were swamped while we were there and he still made it to our table constantly to check and make sure we had everything we needed! We will definitely visit here again!!

Not as good as most of the other ones I've been to. But they were very busy.

Clean restaurant. Fast service. If you like crab, any type and cooked any style then this is your place. Pleanty of parking. Little to no wait, this place is big.

Sherekea was excellent and provided awesome service. We had a cocktail and appetizers. Crab stuffed mushrooms and Crab nachos. Excellent choices!! Thanks to all the staff that sang Happy Birthday to my better half

So, I haven't been there in a while, but I remember the food being good. If you are sensitive to some seafood but not all. Do not go there. The service is good but I couldn't eat the food.

Too long of a wait and when they text you to come the servers was horrible and she don't come back and check.
I won't go back there to that located

My fish and shrimp were way over cooked my fish was like jerky. The kids chicken was over done as well. The coronarita was watery tasted like a diluted corona.

This is the first time I've eaten in a restaurant since Covid-19, and i must say they keep the distance ordinance and they managed to get the food out at a good time even though it was still a pretty full house.

Bad service took 20 mins to get silverware and didn't bring refills had to go to bar to get them

Bad - Don't go. The only part of my $100+ meal that I enjoyed was the hurricane; we were finished with our appetizer before our drinks even came. Our appetizer was ok (hard to mess up chips with dip), but everything else was marginal to bad. Service was poor and bar was very slow. If a table is ordering drinks, they are very important to keeping the table happy and increasing the bill, thereby increasing the tip. Comment by our waitress was that the bar was slow because they only had one bar tender. My thought was, well, the manager should have been back there mixing drinks. Poor management in my opinion. I have never paid so much money for food that was so uniformly marginal -> bad. My youngest kid didn't even like the fish fingers basket with fries. It was terrible. I will never go back to any Joe's Crab Shack. Wish I could give negative stars.

Sat and waited for an he and was never seated. People who came in after us were seated first. Went up and asked and they said soon, still didn't get seated. We left. Saw people in the parking lot who finished eating that came in when we did.

Good food good service but is a chain do not believe you getting local seafood there is my only down about it.

Waitress and service was amazing but food was bad. Made us nauseous and manager states "well most of it is gone so" when more than half of the food is still there. Don't know his name but don't come and eat shrimp unless you want to get sick and repremanded.

We went for my husband s birthday dinner our water never brought the lemon and sweet In low I asked for my tea so I had to walk to the bar to ask for it after 20 min we ordered the steamboat to share and the corn was still hard and the crab cake had no flavor just crumbled in to peace s and we had to ask for refills on our drinks we love Joe s Crab Shack and we re excited since they closed the ones on 290 closer to us.

Omg! Joe's Crab Shack On the seawall, this aint the Joes I know. Houston the same way. I love Galveston! BUT! They don't know about good fish. Cold fish and shrimp after waiting so long and it wasnt even packed! The waiter was unsure about everything or most of the questions asked. Not professional, but anyway. I think the guy let our food sit and get cold. He had a problem with us sitting and having good family fun. His name was Shaun. Watch him. Why would my family have to wait so long and the food was cold but the appetizer crab dip was hot. Why?? Second time we ate fish on the seawall and it just didn't make the cut. No more eatin on the seawall, just going to chill and drink next time. 112 dollar tab, not worth it.

New menu's. Food not that great. Waiter disappeared after bringing 1/2 our food. Do not get the 2.00 pickles. You get 6 taste like ones you get at Kroger or her. Looks like was recently remodeled. Nice bldg. Poor food. What a shame. Golden corral has better seafood

The crab tasted like it was not fresh, with very little to no seasoning, as well as the potatoes and sausage which were not done.Very unhappy with the quality of the food.Everything seemed rush.

Poor service, alright food. It was peaceful, my family showed love and I had some great crabs.

Our server, Brian was amazing. My wife and I enjoyed our experience.

Its pretty good. The only thing is their definition of spicey the cajun(the flavor that is supposed to be spicy) is not spicy. I like it and it has a kids area for kids to play at.

ALWAYS AWESOME!! My brother and I went for lunch it was nice because its a long time since we have spent time together as a family.

Charged me for something I didn t order. Then when I told them about it they told me what I ordered.

Points have dropped in the service, the wait is very long and the orders do not arrive full.

This was a great place. I know some of the reviews say otherwise however as far as my experience goes it was pretty good. I brought my mother here for mother's day. They offered her flowers upon entry. (Mind you this was the only place without a 1.5 hour wait time) They were quick to grab me a table. Get our drinks. The refills could have came a little faster. We were having to stop random restaurant workers for refills. Considering the nature of the business that night I'd say overall they were as prepared and as courteous as they could be. I recommend if anyone wants a great place to eat and wants to avoid the lines on seawall Blvd.

Amazing food! This restaurant beats any other restaurant in the world!

Our first time here, and it was perfect for us! My kids loved the playground and eating outside where they could see the water. My husband and I loved the food, especially the crab (obviously).

Just ok. Fish was hot but the shrimp and fries were lukewarm only. Suprised a restaurant of such caliber has same shoestring fries as McDonald's. Like why not waffle fries, steak fries or crinkle fries? Probably won't be back, not worth the money.

We had a table of 11. The whole experience was wonderful. The staff was professional, fun and amazing. We had a blast.

At first it took a while for our waitress to arrive, but later she was very kind. The food is very tasty.

They say that they take reservations been calling since 4;30 to make reservations for 18. Phone has been busy for 5 hours????? Really???

First time to eat at Joe's I always heard it was really good but I wasn't very impressed. It was overpriced.

Way too long a wait, way too expensive, and food is average at best.

The taste is not as good as before, and the portion is too small. One pot costs $ 30 and is still not full. It is recommended that merchants increase their servings.

Joe always knows...my tummy that is. Its a shame there is only one left in town, wish they would bring them back. Anyway the service was great, thank you James. See ya soon buddy!

We went in the afternoon when it was pretty slow. The hostess who seated us didn't much act like she wanted to be there, not even a smile, but our waiter was amazing. Service like that is rare these days. He was attenintive and upbeat, all the while tending bar, and supporting fellow employees (and, I might add, doing part of what seemed to be the hostess job). The food was great! The cedar smoked salmon was SO GOOD!

Good as usual, the decor is different from the ones in Minnesota, but the service was great. The dancing was fun to watch.
