Had the power switch replaced on my nexus 5. Took longer than was quoted, but I haven't had any issues with it since the repair. Given the effort involved to replace it, I was surprised to pay less than $45 for the service.

Had my micro UBS port fixed because it wasn't connecting to my computer and Rogers didn't know what was wrong with it even though it was one of their phones. They sent my to Joe Mobile Tech, thinking I would have to get the whole part placed but they they just tinkered with and managed to get it to working. Now, I know where to go if my phone very has a problems, from now on.

Took more than 15 days to unlock an iphone 6 with no success. They couldn't come forward as a professional and say we couldn't unlock this phone.

Also, not customer friendly service and communication; they didn't return my calls and I have to go to the site for update. I got my money back after 15 days. We were refered to them by Best buy Manager who sold the phone to my wife and didn't mention to her that the phone was locked to Bell.

This place is a waste of time, they never return or pickup phone calls, claim to fix your device (temporarily) then blame you when it breaks again days later. Horrible place don't know how they are still in business

Joe has worked on 3 Android `phones for us - 1 unlock, and 2 `roots`. He has been professional and above all else - honest. When he couldn`t get one `phone done before evening, he drove across town to deliver it to us before we left the city. That`s service.
I am a happy customer, and recommend Joe Mobile without reservation.

Although it took a few visits to get to the bottom of the problems with my Blackberry, Joe was cheerful and helpful, and best of all, a problem I have been bugging Rogers about for months is now fixed!
I recommend Joe highly.

First of all my husband broughthis tablet a week ago in as per Roger's request.

We suppose to get a phone call back , when it's done and no such thing, we HAD to call back to find out it's ready
Today Friday Aug 14 2020, sitting in the car waiting for my husband for over 30 min, just because their machine isn't working and than she has the odesity to tell my husband to take my cash and we TRUST you come back with the rest.

WHAT BANANA shop are you running,to treat 1st time customers like that.
We want to pay and you treat us like criminals.

You might be giving service for 10 years, but you haven't learnt anything about customers service.

Train your employees accordingly

I'm very happy with Joe fixing my samsung f-ed cracked screen.

I couldn't do a damn thing with the phone it would just freeze up.

He replaced the screen, very professional job and a good price.

Joe mobile Tech. Is second to none and they always provide me with the best cell phone repair experience . From the first moment I stepped into the shop the staff provided me with a professional experience from inquiry to problem / resolution . The most valuable part for me was the attentiveness and informative staff that explained things to me in a way I could understand . They also exceeded my expectations when my phone was finished in record time late in the business hours of the day . I swear by Joe Mobile Tech. and will be continuing business with them for any call phone related issues .

Worst cell phone repair shop in the country by far... I gave them two chances to earn my business and both times I had to bring it elsewhere to get fixed, because the problem simply kept coming back.. Further, they blamed me for the issue and would not fix the problem, even though they were the ones who "fixed" it in the first place. Staff was very rude & the price does not reflect the service once oh ever. If you are looking for an owner & staff with integrity, I definitely wouldn't go see Joe at his shop!

Joe was able to repair the charging port on my phone even without the replacement parts. I was very anxious to fix the charging problem and the parts were taking a while to receive, so he offered to repair the piece without the part for a reduced cost. It works and I'm very satisfied. 45 bucks

When I explained the symptoms of my broken cell, the guy gave me very detailed breakdown of how the phone works and how certain symptoms could mean specific things. He advised a path of action that would benefit me best rather than benefit the company at an excessive time/money cost to myself--the mark of a good human being.

The power button on my Nexus 5 was stuck. The manufacturer would have charged $150 to repair, including a long turn around time. Joe Mobile Tech only charged me $45 for the repair, and had it done in only a few hours. Great service!

Joe fixed two Nexus5's for me in the past. One needed the power button replaced the other was to replace cracked screen. Both jobs fully met my satisfaction for quality of service and price. Highly recommended.

My friend found his old iPhone 4S when I needed a phone and gave it to me. He left the iCloud lock off because it was his old phone and he forgot the password for it and wanted me to be able to use it. So I spent the money for Joe Mobile Tech to unlock it from Koodo which they did successfully. Then, in front of me without talking about it or asking, the guy behind the desk turned the iCloud lock on and basically rendered the phone useless and made me waste the $80 or whatever it was to unlock. I still can't get it working, but I know I can't get my money back because technically they DID unlock it - HUGE communication error ran me upwards of $100. Never going back.

I had a screen replaced there and it was fine until I fell and it broke. I brought it in to have the screen replaced again, but the screen cracked within hours of the repair, although it was only used once and in an Otterbox in a pocket in my purse the whole time. I emailed immediately, and the owner said I must have dropped it and he would not repair it. Within the next week, a large chunk came out above the home button and other cracks appeared along the side all through normal use. I never dropped the phone and had it in a case the whole time- it was clearly defective glass or a poor installation. Very weird and very upsetting to pay a good chunk of cash for inferior quality work and a poor product.
The owner said it was no fault of his and was extremely insistent that the only way it could have cracked repeatedly was from repeated droppings, although I stated repeatedly I did not drop it. I am out $150 + tax for a terrible product and my business and life are affected negatively by this very poorly done phone repair and extremely insulting service. Avoid at all costs. I have never been treated like this at any shop before and found his attitude very shocking as I was just trying to rectify a real problem and being told I was lying was pretty stunning.
The interaction was completely bizarre.

So I got my screen replaced here and then it broke...

So I got my screen replaced here and then it broke... Just like that within a day, it broke from somehow bring in my pocket where no phone had before. I contacted another repair specialist and found out that Joe here is not using top end replacement glass, but he definitely makes sure to charge you as if it is. There is this garbage knock off glass that is from China, then there is the real OEM glass / LCDs that real specialists use. All I have to say is I don't understand how this crook gets away with this. Reading other reviewers confirms this shotty easily broken glass. Shame on you Joe.

P.S Scroll past his bs ratings from his friends / fake accounts with only this place ever having a rating. The real reviews have one or two stars

Run away from this place as far as you can. The worst service I experienced in Ottawa from the beginning until the end. Very dishonest person and selling bad things. I would give 0 star.

1 - I ll start from the beginning. I broke the screen of my Samsung S7 edge and went there to get it fixed.

2- They told me it was going to cost me more than 300$ to fix it because the screen from the edge is the most expensive one to fix. I thought it was a little bit expensive for a 4 year old phone which I bought for 900$ new.

3 - They were selling a S8 phone for 400$. I bought it and asked them if it was unlocked. They said all their phones are unlocked . I needed to go back to work and couldn t wait for the phone to charge to verify. Happened that it was not unlocked and had to go back there and wait for them to unlock it. This was the first fail. But it was not a big deal.

4 - took the phone home and 2 days later it started crashing and giving me this odd software error message, black screen and would not restart. I had to wait until the battery died to be able to restart the phone.

5 - I immediately went there after work and asked for a refund. Which to me was fair since the phone had software issues and it was only 2 days after I bought the phone.

6 - this guy refused and called me a lier. I showed pictures I took of the black screen and error message and he still refused to believe insisting I was lying. We kept going back and forth and I called the cops but they didn t believe it was necessary to go there. I called the court services but it was too much of a hussle for just a phone.

7 - the phone is still shutting down every second day giving this black screen with the error message.

8 - if it makes you happy to keep my money and sell me a garbage phone, go ahead...but I ll make sure people know about your questionable business practices.

Joe Mobile Tech is really the most experienced cell phone technician store I have encountered in recent years in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. As a business owner myself, I have often dealt with Joe, and always have the utmost in both service and turnaround times. He really is the expert in doing repairs, and I have never had to come back for a defective part or repair. Joe is always highly professional and reliable, and I cannot give enough of a positive review for Joe Mobile Tech. 10/10.

So I called on November 18th about replacing a Son...

So I called on November 18th about replacing a Sony Xperia Sim card tray. I was told they had to order it and it would take a week. Would be here by November 27th or 28th. This seemed exceptable. I called around and everyone else said the same. Joe mobile is closest to me so I decided to go there. On the 27th I didn't get a call. I called in the afternoon on the 28th and I was told it would be the end of the night or by Thursday. I said okay. Thursday comes by and no call. I call Friday. It's not here, but I'm emailed a tracking number. So I checked and I see that it's not supposed to come untill today. By 12pm. I'm a little angry now as I'm still waiting, and for a crappy piece from Hong Kong. Seriously. Anyone knows it takes anywhere from 3 weeks to a month to get it and they are charging me 15+ tax when I can already tell they paid 1$ shipping most likley and 5$ max for the piece.....I called up Allo Allo instead on Bronson and he told me to come in, he has the Sim card tray and he would charge me 10$. Ridiculous. Still no call stating its here. And it's 1:05pm on the 5th of December. Ridiculous. They weren't rude, but still...not forthcoming with when the part will arrive. Kept me waiting every day expecting it the next day. Wasted time.

Excellent service. Took what I thought to be an irreparable phone in to get checked out and Joe brought it back to life! Fair prices and patient staff, I know where I'll be bringing in my broken phones from now on :)

This is the worst cell phone repair company in the city, maybe even the province!! They won't return your call. They take your device and say it'll be ready on a certain date and when you call no one knows what your talking about on the rare occasion they answer the phone. They had my device for over a month! Guess what!? It doesn't work after one day! It has the same original issue, which I paid to fix. Now Joe is saying it's probably another issue... so he wants me to pay to have it serviced again!?Moral of my story, don't waste your money on these scoundrels!

I've taken several phones to Joe over the years and he has always gone above and beyond. He has repaired several of my blackberries, my Samsung S5 which he replaced for me.

He even fixed the glass on my Nexus 5 right away before my business trip.

This is an excellent place for phone repair and very affordable.

Your work is amazing but sometimes they rip you off for the price for example my friend had a broken screen and he bought the part with his own money they took $40 to fix the screen and I know for a fact that it's very very easy to remove and put back in place

This place provides horrible service I told them to fix my iPod 5 and they said alright come get it tomorrow turned out taking 2 weeks then when I got it it was. Different colour and it was apparently a new one cause they broke mine then two weeks into using my new iPod I realized I was scammed because I had an iPod 5 32GB before they broke it and they replaced it with a 16 GB iPod which they never told me that I learned myself they suck wasn't a pleasure doing business don't do it go to different places
THIS HAPPENED about 3 MONTHS ago this is just a late review they deserve
And yes you did fix it at the time
