We called the box office and paid for upgraded tickets for a Coyote game, as they were represented. We paid airfare and hotel fees to attend the game. Only when we got to the arena, the tickets we purchased were not what we got. Took an hour to get the issue resolved. We missed all of the pregame and the beginning of the game. There was almost a fight in the box office. Don't go through the box office!!!

Went to go see TSO. Security was surprisingly fast but thorough. Order the chicken BBQ pizza and chicken wings. Both tasted great. Beer glass on small size. Bottle of water. All expensive. Ended up paying $42. And $10. For parking. TSO shirt don't get me started.

Huge arena. The sound system is not great for shows. It seemed to get a little better as the show went on and then got a lot worse. They had a lot of open bars and lines weren't too bad. Bathrooms are big and clean. The facility is huge and was pretty big.

Very nice venue for large crowds.

Very nice venue for large crowds.
Lots of restaurants around for early event arrivals. We were there to see Cher.

Great arena, however the security is another story! I get that at a coyotes game you may need top notch security, but when a local squirt game plays here in their tournament, there is absolutely NO reason for security to be so rude to a small group of families here to watch their kids! Tone it down guys! I know you all missed your calling in law enforcement, but this job is not your answer to missed careers! Stop acting like the coyotes are playing and let us enjoy our kids!!!

Gila River Arena is a great venue. I am new to Arizona and have attended 4 hockey games and have enjoyed the experience especially in a nice arena. The people attending even though they are cheering for their teams are polite, win or lose. No hard feelings, just fun and having a good time.

I've been here for hockey games and live concerts and both were great. The venue accommodates large crowds well. The arena is in front of a bunch of bars and places for shopping so you can enjoy more than just the event you came to see.

If you are coming from the East side be sure to factor in traveling time, especially if it is a popular event.

Hockey Game is the event I attended with 3 guests. Very well organized... Lots of people to help with directions, plenty of food, drinks, restrooms, and police for security. Was very comfortable being there. Would absolutely go again.
Drink prices were VERY expensive..Tip: PRE GAME

The school field trip for STEM was very good. We watched the Coyotes practice then a staff member did a presentation with other employees describing their jobs while students filled out questions on a bingo card. The bingo cards were used to give the kids a chance to win prizes.

Went to see a concert. Great venue. Problem, however, they only had a few doors open with long lines and the concert beginning in 20 min. They need to be sure to have more doors open for a sold out performance.

Hockey game was great. ! Az. Coyotes beat Las Vegas Knights 4 -1. Had a nachos and pulled pork with beans and cheese . It was good. Snack stand was pricey that nacho and pulled pork cost me about 16 dollar. Hockey fans are the best, more energetic loud fans that love the hockey game. I love it too. Go Coyotes. ......

Went to hockey game here. Very nice seating but expensive. Even the beer was expensive, like $16 for a large can. Take a jacket if you go for hockey as it is cold in there. Terrific overhead monitors for viewing replays.

It would be a better arena if the coyotes weren't terrible... but in all seriousness, it's a great facility with a multitude of different events. The biggest downside is that it's so far from the east valley.

One of the best arenas I have experienced....the ambiance, the setting and how it was planned out provides a great experience for the hardcore fans and for the one time fans. The lower level is price accessible and the view is quite good no matter where you sit. To my liking, there's no best intro as the Coyotes intro.

I really liked it. We came while visiting Arizona to watch the Phoenix Coyotes hockey game. I know some of the locals complain that the arena is out of the way a little bit but it is way way nicer than where the Phoenix Suns play. This is a great arena for ice hockey.

Honestly one of the best venues in sports. The food is excellent with a wide variety of options. There's ample access to all amenities and lots of room to walk and still catch the game on TVs or standing areas above the seating on case your toddler gets restless during the game like mine did...

Been here for several coyotes games and always have a good time. It does get a lil cold during hockey games and the upper deck is very steep. Use caution. Recently saw Smashing Pumpkins here and it was good, but the bass was a little muddy. We were in section 117, pretty much the middle of the stage.

Get there super early!!! Security is super slow and it takes forever to actually get in the venue. The venue itself is great but getting there, finding parking, and the getting through security is a mess!
