Super disappointed in the service (from both waitress and manager). Went for a stroll after dinner at Mitch's and stopped in for dessert and drinks. They didn't have the cheesecake advertised in the online menu, so I just had a drink (skinny margarita was delicious). My friend got chowder and said it was decent. We never got a water refill (we were there just under 3 hours on a night with no waitlist), and the server asked us to sign our CC slip as her manager was asking why she was still on the clock.

We stayed chatting, after she was sent home (long before closing time) and never heard from anyone again. Around 9 pm when they were closing apparently, they dropped this plastic wall of sorts just behind us on the outdoor patio that sounded like a horrible clap of thunder, or a collapsing roof with water rushing in. Both myself and my friend gasped and jumped. No one came to apologize for the noise. About 10 minutes later the manager, came over and asked if he could clear our menus (yes, the prior server had left them the ENTIRE time). He then proceeded to pick up EVERY item on our table, including our empty water glasses, napkins, utensils etc and said out loud after each item "and this, and this, and this." (As my friend and I were conversing). He never asked how our evening was, thanked us for coming, or anything.

I will say it's a lovely view, and I was happy we stumbled upon it at first, but the fact that they clearly just wanted us to leave less than 15 minutes after closing, and the fact that 5 server or manager did not take over our table to see if we wanted more water or anything else makes me reluctant to go try it for a full meal.

Awesone food. Jimmy birger very good. Dirty martinis were awesome. Waitrrss was on point and very helpful.

Jimmy's Famous is our favorite restaurant in San Diego! Everything is good, but go for a burger or the pulled pork siders during happy hour...

JFAT is a great place to stop in for a bite to eat or a drink to sip before a flight or if you want a gorgeous view of the marina. Kyle, one of the bartenders there, gave us outstanding service by recommending some dishes they had for Happy Hour. Everything was amazing and I am looking forward to visiting again soon.

The staff was friendly and the food is amazing. They have a restaurant exclusive chipotle ketchup that is amazing!

Beautiful location. Right on the water with great views of boats. I had the Wine Country Salad with salmon on top. It was delicious!

What a fun little place. Classic fish and chips and beer. You can sit on the deck and watch the marina and enjoy the food.

Excellent range of food and drinks with ample seating in the restaurant and at the bar. Definitely try the salmon and blonde ale.

Great beer, atmosphere and food! Exceptional service as well. Their chipotle ketchup sauce is a must.

If I was able to I would give this a 3.8. It's really nice, aesthetically beautiful, attentive staff, good food, but I downgrade it because it's pretty expensive for what it is.

Chips tasted like it was fried in old used up oil, unacceptable considering the price.

We always enjoy the sunset at the Point Loma spot! Impossible burger and fries is where it's at!! Love the friendly staff!

I like the place, but to anyone working there who might be reading this, please check the seafood quality before you serve it.

I ate there yesterday, got the Shrimp and Lobster sandwich, and I ve been having some of the worst food poisoning I ve ever had in my life. Not really a fun way to spend Christmas Day.

I m still going to go here again, but... ya know, make sure the fish is up to snuff.

Very good food and service. The seared albacore salad and/or shrimp salad was beyond outstanding. We all raved over the red potato mashed potatoes. Ambiance was nice with the harbour view.

The beautiful view is worth the visit. The food was delish as well- it's not the best choice for the health conscious/vegetarians...but a great time all the same.

Monday special is a burger and beer for $12, which is unbeatable!

Only outdoor and covered patio seating available, you order your drinks and meals at the bar. Drinks get served right up, they call your name when your food is done and you recieve your order it comes in take out boxes bagged and ready to go, but you're free to enjoy the patio seating

Our food was great and the portions were large (burgers are worth the money). We took advantage of their location and walked the pier to burn off or dinner.

Had me a Ahi burger it was good, staff was noisy at the bar yelling at each other about tv killed the mood, food was good.

American food, yeah, my preferred treat. if it was closer to my home i would be here often.

Our server was great. Food was pretty good too. 4 stars because the soda was flat. Both times. I'd still go back for the lobster Mac.

Beautiful location. Tasty food. Clean establishment. My only compliant was availability of beers on tap, many of which were sold out.

Very friendly staff. We had the red snapper with Creole shrimp. The fish was cooked very well and the shrimp here juicy and flavorful.. Overall a good dish but was a bit greasy for me. My fiancee had the chowder too and really liked it.

It is an ordinary restaurant. The food was delicious. The weather was bad and the wind was cold when I was on the terrace seat, but there was a warm heater from the ceiling and I could spend it comfortably.

I really like the food here (especially the happy hour specials), as well as the brews, even if the staff attitude ranges wildly from "somewhat pleasant" to "cold fish".

Wanting upscale food with a more casual atmosphere? Then this is the place! Their poke bowl was so dang delicious, I could've eaten 5 orders to myself. If you want one of their patio seats looking out at the marina though, I'd suggest either going at odd hours in between popular meal times to miss the rush, or make a reservation. Anyway, highly recommend it!

Food was just ok for the prices they charge, not big variety on drinks either.Best part was the cool outside view.

I went at night. Food was pretty good but the service was slow.

Awful service ..dude never came back for like an hour to being us drinks he forgot. Huge and expensive portions not very good food. Warm chocolate chip cookie was more like 4 day old cookie hard as a rock I almsot broke my teeth on. Just Awful! Still sitting here waiting for our check. It was not even busy!

Was in town for a little bit for a shark diving trip and this place was right across the street from the hotel. It was so good. Those deviled eggs are so amazing. I'm upset that I can't get them just like that back home. Everything else was pretty good too, and there's a nice view of the docks while you eat.

Spicy meatballs are a must! They bring the heat so be careful.

Good food. Salads are plentiful as an entree. The hot fudge sundae is delicious and big enough to split with others. Beware if anyone orders a 'double', you will be charged for two drinks. Other than that, wonderful experience and situated in a scenic area directly overlooking the North end of the harbor.

The scenery is outstanding. The staff was great. The menu is pretty limited and specialized. I had a hard time deciding between few options that sounded appealing to me. But that's just me.

Delicious! I had the French dip which was fantastic and my kids really enjoyed the burgers and garlic fries, the atmosphere is comfortable and the view of the boats on the docks was just lovely, great drinks, wine, beers.

Seriously the best burgers ever!
I had the Jimmy's Classic. It had pimento cheese, applewood? smoked bacon and unicorn tears. I cried a little eating it.
The atmosphere is great, a bit loud but you may like that.
Parking was easy and the surrounding area is perfect for a nice stroll after your meal.

A good go-to place when the entire party all wants something different to eat. This place offers a good variety of options, fresh, filling and the beer is ice cold and crisp. The place has house made chips that go well with most of their offerings. And some of their portions are large enough to share for lite fare. The setting adds to the ambiance, California style to the maxxxx!

So the service here is anazing! 5 STARS on SERVICE. Food is what gets the 3 stars. I had the fried chicken on top of green beans and mashed potatoes. First when it says fried chicken you think FRIED CHICKEN, well it was two small chicken strips on top of al dente green beans that had no taste and mashed potatoes that were homemade but no taste. It was $20 for this, which if it taste good would be fine, but not the case with this. Also ordered a Mexican Bloody Mary made with pureed tomatillos and it was horrible. They did take it off bill and asked feedback. Very nice staff. My friend had the California burger and said it was delicious. He didn t like the salad due to be drowned in salad dressing. But it does have a nice harbor view from patio and a dog friendly patio.

Shrimp and cheesy grits were awesome! The pot de creme was a maz ING!!!

The presentation of the restaurant was also in renovation so it was also quite busy and very loud. The next time you come to the San Diego,CA for the burgers, be prepared to sit outside since most seats inside were taken. On the bright side, you can see people walking by.

Recommended by my daughter and definitely a must go to if in the Point Loma area.

Our first time at this chain. The margarita was wonderful but the rum and coke left something to be desired (flat). The seared ahi salad was exquisite and the Cleveland Chili very good, but a rather small portion. Prices high - hamburgers for $17+, which made the ahi salad a bargain! Service and ambience very good.

Not obvious, but entrance is ground level on the bayside. Attractive location. I arrived late during Sunday brunch - place was busy, but tables still available. Ordered fish & chips. Food wad rather disappointing. Greasy & overcooked fish that was completely tasteless. Chips were house made potato chips. Again pretty bland. Coleslaw was supposed top have mustard dressing, but seemed to be completely dry. Might have been me, but overall disappointing.

The food was fresh and delicious! Our server was friendly and took good care of us. We had a party of 8 and were taken great care of.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, good location. Food was overly exaggerated and quite bland.

Great burgers and fries, good choices in beer. Clean, and good service. Don't know about the "famous" part.
