I work there as a ski instructor and I must say it...
I work there as a ski instructor and I must say it is one of the best mountains in the north east. Maybe not the biggest but it sure is quality and besides overpriced food fantastic skiing.

nice little gem on the berkshires. good for adults and kids
Very accommodating staff they recommend and have on hand many things you didn't even know you need. Always served with a smile. From check in to checkout a first class resort.
Overrated. Overpriced. Poorly groomed.... only great thing was the nightlife. Hill is dissapointing.
Always clean room. Kitchenette, living room , large comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Great value for price. Convenient. Friendly staff.
This is a one of our favorite mountains, it's a great family movie
Very nice resort. The bobsled like ride was really fun.
Great skiing at reasonable prices. Powder Hounds right next door is great for dinner.
I absolutely loved it here, so romantic and I spent most of my time cooking here!
Fun village. In need of a renovation in a few years!
Alpine slide and mountain coaster are worth the trip and cost.
This is an excellent place to visit anytime year round
It's weather dependent. Lots of fun though young and old. Bring a sweatshirt in the early fall. It may be warm at the bottom, but cooler up top. Alpine slides are great, mountain coaster is fast but short, and the aerial park has several options.
I went here two summers ago, and I loved it. The room was very nice, loved the pool and Mount Greylock was as advertised. Would go back here again.
Great ski resort, but its more expensive than other in the area.
Where you go when you want to ski, but not travel 4 hours to Vermont. Better than any NY mountain. Less crowds, better slopes.
Having become a local, Jiminy has become a great addition to my routine. If you're considering a season pass, buy it early! Great deals are available toward the end of the season/well before winter. I'll often head in for a few hours, rip a dozen and a half runs then head home tired and happy. Their snow making is top-notch. They truly care about the quality of snow any time they are open. Their are of course better options available, but I've never been unhappy to have Jiminy so close to home.
Love Jiminy Peak! I've been vacationing up there for 30 years. There is ample lodging, ski conditions are usually excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. This is a great family resort. There is also quite a bit to do during the summer and state park nearby is beautiful.
Also special kudos to Kids Rule ski program! A couple years ago my children (4 &5 at the time) took several lessons and we weren't sure what to expect. By the end of the 1st day the instructors had them skiing down the little bunny slope. During their many lessons, the instructors were ALWAYS fantastic , patient and fostered a love of skiing in my children. My daughter is now on an alpine race team and credit kids rule for giving her a solid foundation and positive learning environment. Highly recommend this learn to ski program!
We paid $371 per night for a very dated, dirty 2 bedroom condo, with bedding that was stained and dirty floors that were not cleaned. We entered our unit and was welcomed by a huge pile of garbage, left at the entrance door. We had no working tv and the rooms smelled musty. Very disappointed.
We love going here year after year! Great family ski resort.
Great mountain for both winter and summer activities!
Completely surprised by the well groomed trails, friendly lift operators. The mountain was closing the next day and was still clean, well staffed. Mountain terrain was varied, well spaced out. Very enjoyable. Thank you.
Great quiet place during fall to visit easy access to drive to Clark Museum, Lenox and Pittsfield during our visit
For the money a great value. Enough skiing variety to please all but the best skiers. They need to get on planes.
Almost never a lift line if you know how to choose your lift. Only issue is conditions require lots of snow. The wind will clean the top off to shear ice which makes for lots of fun. Otherwise my fav place to do a 1 day event. PS I've been skiing here since it was one double chair up the front with a few slopes (how many years ago what that? Like wow! they put in a new triple chair! awsome.) so I have the experience to back up my statement. Best value in the northeast.
It's a nice mountain with decent facilities. Good for kids because they can't get too lost. But after a day or two the same runs get boring. And they really need to upgrade another lift to higher speed. The one high speed that they have gets crowded and becomes zoo like but most runs wind up at that lift so you don't have much choice unless you stay on the slower lifts (if they're open). It's great that you have the night skiing option here and don't have to stop at 4 pm like most mountains in Vermont. They do a good job lighting up most of the slopes.
Easy skiing. For the more advanced skiers, I recommend looking elsewhere. The black diamond runs are short and steep but they aren't necessarily fun. If you dare go off piste (past ropeoffs), there is a little more to offer but not much.
Condos are a great place to stay and easy to get to the mountain
Needs more water features. Otherwise great first time for summer
Ski school for kids is fantastic. Very nice intermediate mountain.
Absolutely a great place to ski and snow board. Their snowmaking and grooming is the best in New England. Well worth the visit.
Just stayed here in July. Room was clean, staff was friendly, nice and helpful. We had a ton of fun at the Mountain and Aerial Adventure Parks. Place was empty so there were little to no lines for the rides, which was awesome! We wish there was more stuff to do at night, like activities for kids or something.
The adventure park at Jiminy Peak is fun for kids and adults. There are plenty of activities to make a full day of fun. The views from the top of the chair lift are stunning!
Been here on a handful of occasions. Beautiful resort get away. Clean mountain air and friendly staff. They have a fun Halloween haunted house and the bar on the premises is gorgeous.
Small hill, pricey food. Still a good experience with friends
Great place, I go once a year for 13 nights, gives me the chills.
Walked to the wind turbine and flew out drones around it.
I loved the trails here and the buildings nice and cozy.Feels comforting and friendly for families
This was a really great place to go and experience something different. My family went to Mountain Adventure Park. Everyone had so much fun, and the lines werent long. I suggest buying tickets online because its more expensive if you buy them over there. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, except for the two men up top of the alpine slide lift. At the bottom of the lift they slowed it down for us, as I had a small child with me, and behind me was my mother and neice who both also needed it slowed down. We were assured that it would be slowed down at the top as well. That didnt happen. The two men only cared about getting the equipment off the next lift. They didnt instruct us to lift the bar or where to walk once off the lift. I had to start grabbing my son and jump off the lift with him in my arms. My mom almost fell, and the man was yelling at her. I would suggest four staff up top. Two to get the equipmemt, and two to help the guests. Everywhere else there was an abundance of staff. Also, go slow on the Alpine slide, a lot of people flipped their cart and cut up their arms. Even with that being said, it really is a place I would recommend everyone to go. Something different, and really fun.
A real convenient place for the family to stay and for the weekend.
A nice, fun family ski resort! Cute little town plus night skiing! Try the cheese fries at Christiansen s.
Love the place. We went skiing on New Years, it was crowded, but still okay. The slopes were Nice! Good experience! If you are beginner, you can get bundle lesson (2 hours) with equipment and lift pass all day for 100 $.
Good accommodations for families, close to NY and LI. Ski school and daycare. Indoor pool.
Absolutely amazing! The service was great, although the hills are steep. Had a great time here!
We visited the mountain adventure park. We had a great time. Rode the mountain coaster, alpine slide, soaring eagle zip ride and giant swing. Our kids also did the trampolines and kid climb. Great value, friendly staff and no long lines. We will definitely go again.
Great day of skiing...no lift lines at all, but cold.
Fair price for a day of alpine slides and an amazing mountain coaster. All staff are polite and care about the well being of their customers. The lady inside the gift shop was the best she was so sweet and people here actually make an effort to try to talk to you. 10/10 reccomend coming here and next time I'll stay l longer than a day. Clean park too.
First time to this mountain. Very poor crowd. Mean and uppity type. Not much variation in the trail terrain. Most "fun" areas were blocked off with rope for no apparent reason. The atmosphere is very much towards structure, safety and rules rather than fun and lightheartedness. Terrain parks are nothing more than piles of snow. Glades are few and far between but still fun. They should open up more trails and terrain to guests. Also a ton of kids. A beginner biased mountain for sure. Would not reccomend and will not return
Great quiet place to stay. I wish we were staying during ski season
Great for skiing, big mountains. Good amount of food and quick.
Beautiful scenery at the top and good condition for the trails. However, it is not a very safe place for skiing as some people go recklessly fast in slow zones and I have not seen a single ski patrol anywhere in 2 days of skiing. My son was hit by a reckless teenager in a slow zone and sent flying and in air and landed on his arm causing a bad contusion.
Great location for winter sports. There are many lifts and resting areas. Well managed facilities with great view to the mountains. Kids have a lot of fun. Hope they can improve parking and in transit solution.
A very good skii resort! Place is well maintained. The mountain offers beginner to intermediate level of skiing slopes. They do offer skiing lessons. Had a good experience with the trainers here.
There is alot of things to do and you must try the mountain coaster .
The suites are really nice, giving you a lot for your money. Sadly, the hottub was out of commission and as we had made a reservation only two days prior, they should have mentioned that. One restaurant was closed as well, but another one, just at the front of the access road was open and worth visiting if you're staying here. We enjoyed using the Tesla destination charger they had available, and then hiked Mt. Greylock the following day.
Treats staff poorly, puts their lives on the line in dangerous weather conditions, no accommodations if they are forced to stay at work over night due to weather. Choose somewhere else for your trip.
Beautiful location, plenty of activities for the whole family. Summer or winter, good spots to eat and shop.
While I live close by and I love the skiing here, their website stinks. I have never been able to actually buy my value card online, as there is always a complication. Yesterday I had to wait in line for a 1/2 hour to buy my 'e-coupon' (!!) because the crappy website didn't work. I can't believe these web designers weren't been fired years ago....
Great for more experienced beginner- low intermediate. too Small for advanced riders and skiers.
Great little Hill. Never been in the winter but the summer activities are great.
Came here during the summer and it was a great experience. The adventure Park was awesome. My entire family had a great time, especially on the mountain coaster. I would definitely recommend you visit here.
A truly wonderful place. It was my first time skiing. All of the staff and facilities were excellent at getting me started and keeping me engaged. The property is beautiful and very scenic, especially when covered in snow. It will be on my list of places to come again during the winter months.
Christiansen's tavern. The fish is super fresh and delicious. We went while the haunted house/mountain experience was happening. 13 nights or something. It was a good time and worth the wait and price. A lot of opportunities to delight that special someone. ;)
We have been searching for a place like this! We visited last weekend for our first time, the mountain ambassadors greeted us and could not have been more helpful. Our daughter skied with the STRIDE adaptive ski program and our entire family was able to ski the entire mountain together! Excellent terrain, incredibly well run, amazing mountain culture, lodges and outside village were lovely. Thank you Jiminy Peak and thank your STRIDE. We will be back!
Getting tickets and using the lifts were very easy. There is a decent variety of trail difficulties considering the smaller size of the mountain. One of my favorites to go. Good for beginners.
One of the best things about Jiminy Peak is their hours. They open at 830am & close at 9 or 10pm so you can get your $s worth out of a 4hr or 8hr lift ticket. No rushing around to get done by 4pm. They also offer a lower mountain ticket for beginner's that's much cheaper (but doe NOT allow access to the top of the mountain). Small village feel at the base area with 2 overpriced cafeterias & a great bar - restaurant named Christansens that's worth the wait. Parking can be a hassle but dont let the crowded parking lot fool you. The chairlifts do a good job of dispersing the people. Grooming & snowmaking some of the best in the Berkshires. Terrain parks have never been Jiminy strong suit but you can tell they have put more effort in this year then years past. Overall fun, affordable, family mountain that offers twilight and night riding in an environmentally friendly atmosphere (check out the windmills)
Great mountain close to Albany. Varied terrain and good snow making. Reasonably priced compared to other mountains.
The people here are really nice and I love skiing here
Wonderful place to visit and go to winter or summer. I have gone both times and the skiing is great with levels for all ranges of skiing from advanced to new learners. In the summer there is a great game room and the pool is great if you want to swim outside or inside. The lodge at the top has great food and the people there are always nice and willing to help. The rooms there are good quality and if you get board there are always other great things around close by.
Great hike to beautiful Berkshires view. Get up close to their wind turbine too!
