I scheduled my basic service for 8:00 am. I told them I would come pick it up after work and they said they would send a video of the service as well as call me when it was done. 4:30 came around and I had not received a video or a call so I called to see the status. I spoke with a service writer who said it appeared my vehicle service had not been complete but transferred me to the service writer handling my case. He told me the service was in fact completed and my car was ready to go.
So I headed to the dealer and when I arrived at the cashiers office she couldn't seem to complete my service (This was a pre-paid service, which is my first of 5 free services provided by Chevy/JS). So she calls in a manager from the service writer team and he says the work has not been done based on what is in the computer. They call in the service writer I had been working with and he did another check of my car and the service was not done.
So I sat in the Cafe for about 25 minutes while they completed the routine service. I am pessimistic the tire rotation was done but I am confident the oil was changed. (Small thing, when I got in my car to leave, the technician did not reset the oil percentage in the trip computer. It was easy to do myself, but it could have been easy for him to do too.)
When the service was finally done the cashier rang me up and my service writer gave me 4-$5 tokens to use at the car wash. When I got in my car I noticed my door had a dirty hand print on the handle so I thought I might as well use the tokens to get a car wash. I decided to do the $9 Platinum wash to get a nice clean. I put in my first token, worked fine. When I put in my second token it didn't register the payment. So I put in a third token and it also didn't take. So I was thinking its a $5 token, I owe $4 so these must not be working because it needs exact change. So I tried my credit card to pay the remaining $4 but that also didn't work. So finally, I pressed the Basic Wash for $5 and put in my last token and it worked. I got a basic car wash for $20 worth of tokens. So the gesture was nice, but even that didn't follow through.
Bottom line, I am really disappointed. I scheduled the appointment for first thing in the morning and by 5:00 at night my basic service was not completed. Then when they did completed it I am not sure if they even did everything in the service, namely tire rotation. Lastly, when they tried to show a gesture of good will with the car wash tokens even that failed. It was a poor experience all the way around.
