Pretty crowded at Saturday lunch (noisy), but good food and service.

Transcendent food. Impeccable attention to detail in both cuisine and service. Original and inventive flavors, well executed.

Warm atmosphere, good food - especially breakfast. A bit pricey.

I had the country fried steak breakfast with cheesy taters. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the gravy and fried pork cutlet were delicious. The cheesy taters were great too. Yum!

The only reason I'm giving this a 2 is because of the food, it's very good and pricing is very good. This is a good restaurant except.....the service however is PAINFULLY SLOW !!! it shouldn't take nearly 50 minutes to take orders and prepare plates for 5 people when the dining room is 90% empty !!! Our server was clueless ...he never checked back to see if we needed anything after our food was finally brought out, never asked if we needed a take home box and gave us back the wrong credit cards..... maybe he was doing double duty or was new or maybe who knows......it didn't appear as if anyone had any sense of urgency to help, no attention to detail. I would think with only 10% occupancy it should be pretty quick and painless. This needs to improve or i've eaten my last meal here.

My absolute favorite place for breakfast. I have gone here at least a dozen times and will never stop going. The food is amazing, the syrup is probably the best part - I swear it's homemade. I would buy it by the gallon. ;)
You can never go wrong with the french toast or blueberry pancakes! The space feels warm, welcoming and updated. The staff is super friendly. The wait is always long in the morning, expect an hour. I will easily wait an hour to eat here! There's a cute boutique in the hall so it makes it go by pretty quick! If you don't want to wait, I'd recommend going around 1:00.

Food was good, quite a variety. Service was pleasant but very slow.

The food was delicious and it came super quick I would highly recommend it!

We arrived for a late morning breakfast.
The 20 minute wait went quickly as we browsed the adjoining gift shop.
We were seated, watered, and coffeed by the most friendly waitress.
She guided our first-time visit through the menu and daily specials.
Our meals arrived in a timely manner.
Piping- hot and visually appealing.
The flavors were delicious.
The service extraordinary.
The ambiance, warm, with great views of the neighborhood.
This is a very popular and busy restuarant, but we never felt rushed. The cleanliness was also without question.
We look forward to our next trip back to the twin cities and our new favorite place to eat.

Excellent breakfast....love the syrup too! Our waiter (Patrick.....happy birthday Jan.1st) was fast, professional and knew what we wanted before we knew....highly recommend.

The wait is always 20 minutes or longer and the food is on par with crackle barrel.

Not a bad meal ever! The food is amazing and they make their own maple syrup. You won't be disappointed when you come here the customer service is great!

Best breakfast in the south metro. Pancakes, waffles, and french toast are all awesome. Cheesy hash browns are amazing! Home made syrup...it's all great. I've never had a bad meal there. I highly recommend!

A great find in Burnsville. It has a very earthy, cafe feel. Portions were good sized and the quality was excellent. I had the caramel roll for a starter (it could feed 4!) and a scramble to eat. Come hungry. They don't take reservations and get busy quickly. They will let you call in an hour before to be on the list. I recommend you do just that.

Good brunch menu, but expect wait times up to an hour on the weekend. Their in-house syrup is excellent.

Bar staff waited on us for breakfast. Customer service was top notch! Coffee was always filled, food was incredible, fresh and tasty. Great atmosphere! We will definitely be back!

Burger overcooked and dry. Pancakes dry and not the flavor that was ordered.

Stuffed French toast .... very rich but well worth it!

Jensen's is a very popular spot on a Saturday morning but it's worth the wait. The pancakes are great and the syrup is like nothing I've had before. The cheesy hash browns are really good too.

TO MY FELLOW BREAKFAST FOOD LOVERS, I will say this UPFRONT. If you come on a SATURDAY or SUNDAY morning, then expect a 15-40 min WAIT because the BREAKFAST food here is VERY GOOD, FULFILLING and obviously POPULAR This place has a MODERN HOMESTYLE type feel to it. Respectable CUSTOMER SERVICE and I do RECOMMEND their BREAKFAST to anyone who lives in the area. P.S - There s a PARKING RAMP right behind the WELLS FARGO you can t miss it, so ENJOY.

The stuffed French toast is unreal!! I am totally obsessed!!!! I always recommend this place and try to bring friends from out of town The staff are usually very friendly and helpful! The restaurant is nice and clean. Plus there is an adorable shop to browse if there is a wait. Note, the shop is a bit pricey so proceed with caution. I do wish the patio was open more but that s Minnesota weather for you.

If we could give it a higher rating we would. The food is always amazing and never disappoints, and our waiter checking in to make sure we had enough coffee and water was amazing service. Going here is always a treat!

Great food at fairly reasonable price. Be ready to wait to be seated. It is definitely worth the wait!

Food was amazing. Just confused on the fact that I was charged 5.00 for a large orange juice. My water glass was bigger than the orange juice glass. SMH

Very good food and Their Ultimate Bloody was everything you could ask for.

I always like to go to breakfast, it is delicious, nutritious and very clean.

Food is always very good. There's always a little wait at peak times but the service is rarely as slow as you'd expect given how busy they are. Great place to grab a meal if you're going to an event at the Ames Center. Just a short walk!

Jensen's Cafe has greatly improved their vision of what it means to have a wide ranging selection of menu items. Now, even on Sundays, they're open until 9:00 P.M. There appears to be an effort to appeal to a larger range of people and a greater number of distinct palate preferences. I had an order of lemon pancakes, with berry topping, and a side dish of Canadian Bacon. This combination of flavors, plus the house jam and an ice tea, more than satisfied my Sunday breakfast requests. This restaurant will be visited again when the next possible occasion arises.

We don't get into the cities much but when we do we always make a stop here. The food is plentiful enough that we usually split a meal. Quality is second to none and the wait staff is fantastic. You won't be disappointed with the menu choices as there is something for everyone.

Always enjoy the breakfast food and service was very good. Usually a wait to get in on the weekends but worth it if you have the time.

The food was great. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they got. The servers were friendly and attentive.

Best breakfast place in town! I'd reviewed before and said there weren't any vegetarian options for entrees, but that wasn't fair because they have all day breakfast and multiple options for vegetarians for breakfast.
Also, have to hat tip to Jensen's because they do takeout really well - the food is always just as good as it would be in the restaurant.

It was SO GOOD!! Friendly staff and awesome service! The cinnamon pecan roll was enough for 4 people and it's SO GOOD!!

Always a great dining experience and the food is great! Worth the wait when it is busy...and it is always busy because of the cheerful atmosphere.

We had a brunch, they have surprisingly good Bloody Mary's. Their breakfast menu contains large portions and great tastes.

Crowded and usually a 10-20 minute wait, overly excited server went through almost every menu item in detail. Food is great, have been for breakfast and lunch.

Always eat here when visiting family. Great options! The waitress remembered me from 1 year ago! Felt like home! Eat here once and you'll be hooked.

Love there stuffed french toast and the only place close by that i can get a real Monte Cristo.

The location is super cute and nice layout. Food was so so. They use pancakes in their Eggs Benedict kinda odd.

Our go-to breakfast place in Burnsville. Way better than IHOP or any of those chains. They also serve drinks which is a plus!

I was really disappointed to see the Covid restrictions not being taken seriously here. No reservations taken for breakfast creating many groups of people not able to space out in the halls outside your restaurant. Seating was way over the 50% capacity rule. There was no possible way to reasonably distance. A group of 9 was seated while I was there which again is way over the max of 6 allowed. The food here is fantastic and there is nothing I want more than for restaurants to make it through this difficult time but I feel Jensen's is choosing profits over the safety of their patrons.
