J&R did an amazing job with getting me my 2007 Tahoe LTZ. They were not only transparent, but also very polite and accommodating.

While we were waiting for paperwork they washed my new car AND my best friends car that came with me for the purchase.

Turns out you can t make a purchase on a holiday because Banks are closed BUT they personally delivered the rig to my house the very next day!

I highly recommend working with them. Such a great and positive team!

I had been looking for a car for about a week until I found J&R Motorsports on the side of highway 99, you may know them as the J&R truck rental company. A young gentlemen initially helped me from calling in to actually looking at the car, I believe his name was Ben. Great customer service as well as professional follow through. The vehicle I was looking at was a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6. Not only was this car in good shape, but all of the cars they have are in excellent shape for the price. The owner of this dealership should be proud as the staff still has classic and proffesional customer service that you don't usually see anymore. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the area who needs a stable car at a great price!

These guys are the worst type of car sales people ever!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place! They are not customer service people, they are rude and condescending!! They are scammers and do not know what they are selling. They offer no warranties and assurance the vehicles are in good shape. I didn't even get 50 miles on the car and ended up being towed on the I-5 to a dealership to get evaluated and $5000 later my car is working for now. I share the experiences as many other people reporting there negative experiences with these guys!!
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

After seeking countless cars I stumbled across a sweet informational sale man named Tylor!!!
He worked with me over the phone for four or five days and to my surprise he was not just a salesman. Tylor was truly something great! I got the car I fell in love with and meet Jose and he had me laughing all night... these guys are GREAT!

I went here looking for my first car. This place had great customer service compared to other lots I went to in the area, and had better cars in my price range. The test drive was great and the buying process was quick and easy. RV was very nice, helped me look over the car, printed the carfax, and answered all my questions. He even gave the car a quick wash before I took it home.

I bought a used car from J&R Motorsports and I couldn't have met anybody nicer. They were not pushy there was no sleight of hand. It's a 13 year old SUV and not once have I had problems with it and all this time. Definitely not a lemon. the combination of a decent car and nice people to deal with convinces me that next time I need to buy a car, I will go there first. Trust is a big thing in car buying.

I have been looking for a car for a couple months and ended up visiting J&R because they had a few cars I liked in my price range. Overall my experience was great, I ended up not buying a car on my first visit but asked if I could take the car to a mechanic before I agreed on anything. I came back the next week to pick up the car and take it to my mechanic over in Issaquah and ended up keeping it most of the day.
My mechanic did find a couple minor things but overall agreed it was in great shape, I took the report back to the dealership and signed the paperwork to buy the car on the agreement of a couple fixes. So far they have done as they agreed (Brake pads & flushed the transmission). I'm just working out the details of getting the windshield replaced (which might come to me so I don't have to make that trip again which I really appreciate) and a side mirror they'll replace if I pay for it.

Overall I would recommend this dealership, they are very laid back and not pushy about making a sale which is probably the only reason I stayed.

I'll update again if anything changes but for now I say at least take the time to check out what they have, the cars are priced great and I love my little 2006 Suzuki Aerio :)

Bought a 99 Toyota Solara from this place in October 2015 and the engine still runs strong. Only problem when I first bought it was that the clutch went bad. I called J&R and they towed the car back and replaced the clutch for me for free.

Sleezball salesman scams me out of a stereo.

Sleezball salesman scams me out of a stereo.
I bought a Mazda 3 from here back in mid November. The man who sold it to me was friendly and very reassuring. The only thing that put me off about him is that he had a Playboy bunny pinball machine in his office and I'ma 22 year old female so you can only imagine how I felt buying a car from him. The car is perfectly fine which is lucky for me, except the anti theft lock on the $700 Pioneer stereo was locked by a password that they didn't have the password for. I told the man that I didn't feel comfortable with buying the car if I didn't have the password. The man tells me "Don't worry I'll contact the previous owner and I'll have the password when you come for the car." Three days later I pay for the car and they say they couldn't get ahold of them but to just wait a couple more days. It's been a month and a half and I've called about it five times, everytime someone different tells me that someone will contact me about it. Today I call and finally someone seemed willing to talk to me. I tell him the situation and he proceeds to belittle me by laughing and saying "What do you expect us to do when we don't even know who the previous owner is? What if we can't find them?" I don't know sir, you advertise how much you love Carfax, I thought you'd at least know the previous owner who had an anti theft lock on the car. So in my head you are either going to figure out the previous owner or you refund me the $700 for the stereo you included in the value of the car because it is essentially useless and Pioneer won't help at all either. Secondly if you knew you didn't know the previous owner, why lie to me when buying the car by saying you'd contact the previous owner? Of course I get frustrated, the man just laughed at the fact that I'm stuck with a $700 problem they said they'd fix. He then hangs up on me after I get frustrated annd I haven't heard back since. I guess my dad was right when he warned me to watch out for sleezy car salesman.

BUYERS BEWARE! I do NOT recommend buying a vehicle...

BUYERS BEWARE! I do NOT recommend buying a vehicle from J & R Motorsports. In June of 2015, they sold me a 2003 Audi A6 Avant with only 120k miles for what seemed like a great deal. Everything seemed to check out alright. Literally one week after buying the car, the engine seized up and threw a rod, blowing a hole in the side of my engine block. Of course the car wasn't under any kind of warranty, but I called J & R and they were willing to find a used motor for me and cover the cost of labor and replacing everything, I just had to pay $1100 for said motor. My car was in their shop for TWO MONTHS before they even started swapping the engine. I was told it wasn't a priority for their mechanic because I wasn't paying for the labor. It took an additional two weeks after that before it was finished. Now, I received my new license plates in the mail right after breaking down, and I didn't have screws for the front plate, so I left it in the back seat. I figured, if anything, maybe they'd notice it and put it on for me. If not, no big deal, I can do it myself once I get the car back and can actually drive it again. The day after I brought my car back home, I remembered the plate and looked every where for it. It wasn't in the car or on the car. I called the dealership and asked if they may have had it. The guy I spoke with managed to find my front license plate folded in half in the mechanic's scrap metal bin. I cannot even believe that they would take something out of the back seat of my car - let alone a BRAND NEW license plate I'd just paid for that clearly matches the one on the back - and try to scrap it! On top of all of this hassle, I have had nothing but problems with the motor ever since getting my car back. I haven't even had the car for a year, and I could've had the loan paid off by now with the amount of money I've had to put into repairs. My car has since broken down three times on my way to work due to various parts that needed to be replaced on the motor. Now, I've just discovered that yet another part on the motor needs replacing before I can drive the car again. my check engine light is also on due to two issues- one being low in cost of parts, but high in cost of labor; the other being the exact opposite. The lowest quote I've gotten for these repairs is $1800, but they don't affect the driveability so I've put them on the back burner for now. I have to call around to different shops tomorrow for a quote on the latest repair needed. All in all, the costs of having an AWD vehicle towed several times and various repairs and replacements made has run me at LEAST $3k. That's not even including the regular maintenance costs such as tires and oil changes (which are the only costs I'd expected to pay for a very long time with this car). I only wish I would have looked into the reviews before ever making the mistake of visiting this place.

An excellent seller, they gave a couple of practical advice, they didn't impose anything, very pleasant service. We picked up an option, gave it a ride, although I didn't have my own insurance yet. I bought veins here on credit, my first car in the USA after moving, explained the whole procedure in detail step by step, helped with the documents. Special thanks to Ron.

To anyone reading these reviews, take note that each positive review also happens to conveniently include car make and model, and brings up finances each time. The negative reviews, say nothing of the sort. Each positive review seems to be an attempt to counter the negative ones. Its all in what they don't say.

Watch for ad tactics anywhere guys :)

Nice selection of vehicles for reasonable prices. Some prices will make you want a Carfax report but they have those readily available as well. They didn't quite have what we needed but in the future when my daughters start driving I'll be headed there for their first car.

I arrived wanting to purchase a car that day and even though there were only a few options that I (personally) was fond of, the workers there made me feel very comfortable. I was able to go back and forth looking at all my options, they let me test drive whichever cars I wanted to and when I finally made my decision it was clear that they wanted me to feel right about what I was paying. Everyone was very friendly and one of the men took the initiative to wash the car I decided to purchase so I could drive off feeling even better. I definitely recommend this place and I don't care to recommend things often.

We took our so there to help him buy his first car, that he saved his own money for. Jose knew this but treated us like idiots & with s complete lack of respect. Jose is not a forthright or ethical salesman. He acts very caring until you sit down to talk about price. We had some concerns about the car we were interested in & instead of validating those concerns, he just shrugged his shoulders....unconcerned!! He also tried to talk us out of having our mechanic look over the car. Super shady individual & we will never go back!!!

Use extreme caution. They have no idea what they are selling. They're not mechanics. They don't do repairs or service. All they do is buy cars at auction, clean them up and resell them. As-is means As-is. You're rolling the dice. I Ended up with a very nice car, with an intermittent engine light. The light wasn't on when I bought it, and didn't light up during a good long test drive. The code will clear and stay off for a long while. I'm going to assume it's a sensor issue and keep driving it. If the sensor turns out to be right, I'm looking at an engine rebuild or replacement. I guess that's why such a nice vehicle was at the auction.

Made the whole process very comfortable and stress free. He was honest, down to earth, upfront kind of guy, we really liked him and would recommend this lot to anyone looking to get a nice used car!
Also LOVE the pinball machine, very iconic!

Bought my audi s4 from them a little over a year ago. I traded in my truck that was breaking down fast (probably blew a head gasket pulling in) and looking to build my credit. First off they left little to no gas in the tank, not a big deal I thought.. Drove the car around everything felt fine. It had the airbag light on, I should've just walked away then. But the salesmen assured me they take care of their cars and it was just a sensor.. (Turned out being the Airbag control module $950 for the part alone). The radio was in safe mode, the owner could not find the unlock code. So instead of taking the time to find the code the owner just pulls the radio out and swaps in with another s4 radio. (To me thats bad ethics seeing how the vin of the radio is not going to match the car, so I always have to keep that specific code somewhere accessible) I got a decent deal for the car with my trade in (If the car was in great condition I would not be mad at the price). Right after driving it off the lot to go fill up the gas tank, my check engine light turns on.. weird.. (3 codes 02 sensor, SAI, TQ convertor). It all clicked when I remembered how long the salesmen spent in the car initially when he had to "start and warm it up". I am positive he cleared the codes with a OBD reader before I hopped in the car. How can those 3 codes just magically pop up all at once literally a few miles after start up, why else keep the gas tank low. When I finally got the car up for a tune up I noticed the spark plugs were shot, oil was thick, missing bulbs in taillight. All in all I learned my lesson the hard way buying my first car. I would never trust these shmucks with any car, they are the classic image of the horrors people are afraid of when buying a car. If you do decide to buy from them, get a second private party inspection. KNOW YOUR STUFF about whatever car you are buying, they are the biggest liars.

Back in April 2014 I bought a Toyota 4runner from this place only to have it over heat 1 month later leaving stranded the first time. Got it fixed. Then 1 month after the fix, the motor started making a loud clunking and lost all power, leaving me stranded once again. Total lemon car. The VW my cousin bought from a smoke shop down the street has been a more reliable car than a Toyota bought from this place.

I came from Portland to the Seattle area with friends for the weekend for some hiking. I was casually looking for an all wheel drive BMW 3 series for the past few weeks. During our trip I decided to check what was available in the Seattle area and came across the perfect car. I got in contact with Ron (RV) about the 335xi he had for sale. Instead of going back to Portland I stayed until Monday and drove off with my new BMW.

I had a great experience working with Ron and everyone at J & R Motorsports. It was stress free and relaxed environment. Highly recommend!

Now have to sue to get my money back! Im surprised this place still has a business license.

Be careful and pay attention to the motor of the car. I bought an Audi from here and it looked amazingly nice clean and spotless no accidents clean title and car fax report with it.

1 month later, it costed me 3,000 in repairs because of a broken motor mount, drive belt, crankshaft seal and more. Thought that was the worst of it..... No my luck after all this, the transmission was going out. Money wasn t the problem. It was the honesty of the whole situation. These guys on the lot are salesmen. They pride them self off skill, not the product.

Btw, I bought it straight up cash, I don t suggest. Do payments, that way if something goes wrong you can claim damages through your lawyer.

Now, I m in a situation of whether I replace it and sell it or sell as is... like they did to me.

Bought car for 9,000
Repairs so far close 3,000
New transmission 1,000 - 3,000 not including labor.

Just have to cut my loses...which are a lot.

I bought the car for a friend who was in a tough spot and was trying to help, but just caused him more problems and myself.

Thanks J and R Motorsport. Next time be upfront about the product.

Wish I could remember the guys name who sold it to me to help you folks out. Sorry.

I had an excellent experience here. I found the car I wanted online. They let me take a test drive and worked with me on the price and financing. The engine light came on a few days after I got it (no fault on the sellers, I'm pretty sure it was just bad timing). Turned out to be a pretty managable part replacement for a coolant valve and they fixed it for me with out hesitation right then and there. The mechanic I had gone to first had quoted me something outrageous and would have had to keep the car for a day or two, so I was relieved when they took care of it! The guys are nice and the service is great.

They barely get one star from me. I bought what I thought to be a solid car. Days after I bought it both headlights went out. Turned out to be the ballast and the his bulds(expensive). From then on a lot of things were wrong with the car. Windshield seal leaks when it rains hard, radio worked when it wanted to. Drivers Driver's side electric adjust mirror stopped working. Passenger side window cable system broke. And the most concerning of all the indicator light when the car was in drive would blink all the time. I agree with TJ these guys buy cheap cars and just clean the up and make them look good. Not even having them mechanically checked out. Be very cautious buying from them.

On a positive the sales guys are very nice and respectfull.

Wow! They won't negotiate even when the price they're asking is significantly more than car pricing sites say it should be. And, they lie about how good their price is while being nasty about it. They managed to behave this way via email. I can't imagine how much worse they are in person.

We went in to test drive the 2006 Audi A3. My fiance liked it. Then we were waved into the guy that does the paper work. It seems like a friendly office with pictures of boats trawling for Salmon, and drawing of his kids after we strike a conversation. He ..."the price of cars depends on your credit!" We told him not to worried about that. He Yelled I am not going to sell you the car. Dang He was right! He did not know how to talk to customers. He did not sell the car for the dealership, I feel sorry for Benjamin the guy that sells cars there. The finance person was HORRID!
He made the decision for the owner also not to sell the car. We end up buying the same car same year at Pierce Auto Group in Puyallup for the price we offered so the dealership can make a profit. He lost out!

I went to J & R Motor Sports to look at a new car for my son. I drove all the way from Seatac so I got there well past 7pm which is when they close. Eduardo was the sales man that was willing to stay late for me. I took it for a test drive, had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all my questions despite how late it was. He gave me a great deal on the car and I ended up buying the car. When I got home I realized there was a crack in the windshield that I had not seen initially. I spoke with Antril, the owner and he offered to pay half for the windshield and he even let us use his glass guy which was significantly less than other glass repair shops. In addition, I recently took the car to a mechanic to do a tune up. The mechanic told me that not only did they do a great job of detailing and cleaning the car cosmetically, they also topped off all the fluids and replaced all the old engine parts. This was overall a very good car buying experience for me.

It was pretty fantastic. I went in pretty much knowing what I wanted a specific Infiniti, and knew the car was old so I expected a bit of wear. I had been to several dealers at this point and Jose was pretty down-to-earth and easy to talk to. As most dealers, he was eager to please, too. J&R let me take the car for a few hours so I could have a mechanic look at it. They said the parking brake wasn't working and the AC only blew hot air. For 157k miles, that wasn't bad. I brought the car back to J&R and they replaced the brakes then and there at no cost. They also performed an oil change even though the car wasn't due for one. There were some minor cosmetic issues like knicks in the windshield which J&R's insurance covered to have fixed, and they connected me with a well-priced interior guy to restore the leather and bubbling on the dash. The experience was easy and the car was worth the money.

Go to any other dealership besides this one. The sales person I dealt with, Tyler, seemed great at first. Even told me that if I had any issues with the car after purchasing to give him a call. He understood that with my budget and having 4 kids, I needed a reliable car. He told me that this was a great family owned dealer and they're amazing people. Well, 2 days after purchasing the car I locked myself out because the keys I was given only turn on the vehicle. They did not unlock the doors. I called the dealership and they argued that I was doing something wrong because they were able to lock and unlock the car just fine. Tyler told me that if I could get the car open and drive out to the dealer (which was 45 minutes away from me), they could get me new keys. Paid $85 out of pocket to get someone out to my home to unlock the car for me. I called Tyler a week later. (A week because there was snow and I couldn't drive), I asked him if I could get the new keys made for me if I arrived an hour from now. He checked that the locksmith was there and told me that was no problem, so I headed out with my newborn and toddler with me. I arrived at the dealer and was told to drive to the next entrance and talk to the locksmith at Astros lock and key. He told me that I would have to come back another day when it was not raining so he could pull off my whole door to get the lock out and make me a new key. I was furious because Tyler and the dealership knew the situation and they did not bother checking with the locksmith beforehand. Wasted gas and time and no one cared. The owner himself was extremely rude and told me that I SHOULD OF CHECKED THE LOCKS AND KEYS BEFORE I EVEN BOUGHT THE CAR. And if I wanted the issue fixed, i should get a locksmith closer to where i lived. I stormed out as I was about to lose it. DO NOT GO HERE.

Buying a used car can be very stressful experience; especially when you are buying that car with your 16-year old. My son and I worked with Tyler to find the right fit with my son's expectations and budget. At no time did we feel pressured or taken advantage of; given our limited knowledge of cars. Thank you Tyler for turning an otherwise stressful experience into one to celebrate for a new driver!

This is a used car dealership, one up-side to this...

This is a used car dealership, one up-side to this dealership is that all of their cars are trade-ins and are sold to them by larger dealerships who can t sell them themselves or don t have the lot space/time to do so. None of their cars are from auctions (which are usually crashed, need maintenance and are lemon cars unless you find one that was repod).
Any car salesman will sell you any car without remorse no matter where you go, there are bad and good people and you never know who you re going to get. Knowing this: ANY CAR BOUGHT FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP MUST BE INSPECTED BY A THIRD PARTY SERVICE. If you do not have your car inspected THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE.
I d like to add that this dealership very clearly has past criminals working for them, and a few of them seemed like they were high. But, they were very nice people nonetheless.
I bought a 2005 Volkswagen GTI 1.8T with 111,500 miles from them about 3 months ago. I had the car inspected by my professional mechanic and everything checked out. One thing that didn t was the tires in the front were close to bald and were ILLEGAL for the dealership to sell. Always use things like this in negotiation. I got brand new tires in the front when I drove off the lot later that day. I have had 0 issues with the car since the time of purchase.
When buying a used car please always immediately get a oil and filter change, you never know if they topped off the fluid, and when the last oil change was. Get it done now, so you don t have engine problems that will cost you a fortune down the road.
Ratings on used car dealerships will always be low, reason being people do not get their cars inspected and just buy whatever car looks nice without knowing what maintenance the car needs! If you buy a pre improved inspection, if the car checks out and you re getting a good price (don t pay over kelly blue book at these places, they traded it in for probably half of whatever you pay) then buy the vehicle. Never tell a dealer you re coming to look at a vehicle, that will give them time to hide things that are wrong.
I hope this helped some of you who are looking to buy a used car not only from J&R but anywhere.

July 2017, went in looking for a car under $2500. Came out with a 2002 Dodge Neon that is immaculate (mostly) on the interior and exterior, but both front end wheel bearings were shot ($355 apiece) and a fatal transmission problem. Still waiting on the cost for a replacement tranny. Thanks, J & R ! Will edit review with the cost of transmission replacement.

I bought a Civic from them last weekend which is still running well. There were some minor issue with it but Tyler was very understanding and was willing to work with me to check it out further. After going from used car dealer to dealer, I would recommend at least checking them out. Even if you don't buy, you're still looking at a positive experience.

Bought a 2007 Jeep from Andrit(?). Very friendly and helpful. Gave me a great deal on my trade in compared to Blue Book and another dealer's offer. I'm very happy with my vehicle. Right after buying a few miles down the road the the engine light came on for a bad O2 sensor. I called Andrit the next day and he had it fixed for me very quickly at no charge.

Loved it, and I still love it. I bought a 1997 Saab from them in February 2013. There was no icky sales pressure, no up-selling and there were no issues after we took the car for a test drive and made a list of things that would need to be fixed. All were pretty minor but still, we were prepared to haggle, but there was no haggling. The car was already a fair price and they understood about our list of issues, and gave us the price we wanted to pay. And they got me financed with not-so-nice credit from a creditor who also gave me a pretty decent deal. Since then my car has had a scheduled tune-up and oil change, as recommended by Saab.

A used car can be a gamble no matter where you buy it, and having a mechanic pre-check it is not always going to save you. Know what you are getting into, so some research, and you will always have better luck. The most important thing to me is the experience. The thought of car shopping was worse for me than getting a root canal but these guys made it really easy.

Thanks for the awesome car!

These people will screw you over first chance they get. I don't know much about cars and asked a lot of questions only to be lied to about the vehicle. They said they changed the oil, there was zero oil. The engine failed after 2 months of little use, rendering the vehicle useless. If you know about cars then maybe you'd have better luck, otherwise you are better off going somewhere else. I never review or go on rants but there is no way I'd even send my worst enemy there. Shady business for sure.

Its simply a scam. very bad cars and unprofessional management.
they will steal your money for a broken cars. not worth it's value.
worst experience I ever had in buying a car with those people. and stole my money and won't refund me last Tuesday. the check engine light is "on"
on my way home. watch out and the check engine light will be "ON" after you buy and pay for the car. DON'T GO THERE.

I was very hesitant to buy a car with an "as is" sticker on the window because I recently bought a car from another place and the car didn't even make it a mile before the transmission went and the company just basically told me sorry you agreed to buying it as is. I bought a 2015 passat at j&r for 1000$ under kbb and 4 months later I'm still happy with it. I'm mainly leaving this review because after I got home I noticed the key fob didn't work and found out would cost 300$ to fix. Antril was the salesman who sold me the car so I told him about the key fob and he told me of I took it to Volkswagen of everett that he would pay for it. I'm now leaving this review, 4 months after I bought the car, to say even though I purchased this car "As is", he did follow through and pay for my key to be fixed, when he had no obligation to.
I thank you Antril!
