This is a used car dealership, one up-side to this...

This is a used car dealership, one up-side to this dealership is that all of their cars are trade-ins and are sold to them by larger dealerships who can t sell them themselves or don t have the lot space/time to do so. None of their cars are from auctions (which are usually crashed, need maintenance and are lemon cars unless you find one that was repod).
Any car salesman will sell you any car without remorse no matter where you go, there are bad and good people and you never know who you re going to get. Knowing this: ANY CAR BOUGHT FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP MUST BE INSPECTED BY A THIRD PARTY SERVICE. If you do not have your car inspected THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE.
I d like to add that this dealership very clearly has past criminals working for them, and a few of them seemed like they were high. But, they were very nice people nonetheless.
I bought a 2005 Volkswagen GTI 1.8T with 111,500 miles from them about 3 months ago. I had the car inspected by my professional mechanic and everything checked out. One thing that didn t was the tires in the front were close to bald and were ILLEGAL for the dealership to sell. Always use things like this in negotiation. I got brand new tires in the front when I drove off the lot later that day. I have had 0 issues with the car since the time of purchase.
When buying a used car please always immediately get a oil and filter change, you never know if they topped off the fluid, and when the last oil change was. Get it done now, so you don t have engine problems that will cost you a fortune down the road.
Ratings on used car dealerships will always be low, reason being people do not get their cars inspected and just buy whatever car looks nice without knowing what maintenance the car needs! If you buy a pre improved inspection, if the car checks out and you re getting a good price (don t pay over kelly blue book at these places, they traded it in for probably half of whatever you pay) then buy the vehicle. Never tell a dealer you re coming to look at a vehicle, that will give them time to hide things that are wrong.
I hope this helped some of you who are looking to buy a used car not only from J&R but anywhere.
