I had a rather underwhelming experience. The organization seemed disorganized, and communication was lacking at several critical points. The intention behind their efforts is commendable, but the execution fell short of expectations. Overall, it felt more chaotic than supportive.

Establishing itself as a vital part of the Parkville community serving needy families in the vital areas of nutrition, housing, and healthy living counsel. Supportive after school nutrition programs as well. Supported fully by donations, grants, and volunteers.

Our team had the opportunity to volunteer at Hands On Hartford's annual holiday Toy Shoppe event this December, and were positively overwhelmed by the staff's true dedication and LOVE for the Hartford community. We are grateful to have such amazing non-profit organizations that are genuinely committed to the health, wellbeing, and success of Hartford's population - not only on a seasonal or holiday basis, but every single day! Big UPs to the entire Hands On Hartford team for all that you do! The Upward team can't wait to participate in future events!

The establishment is very clean, staff is friendly & tries to work with you if you are in need of help. My only complaint's is that if you leave a message, you rarely get a call back. I had to keep on top of that. Also, I was in need of some help & was told by head staff worker that everything was going to be taken care of by them & it wasn't. I was very disappointed as I was relying on that service. Otherwise, they are there if needed be.

This is a very worthy charity in our community. However, they need to focus more on basic needs programs. For example I would love to see them get into volunteering more for the homeless. They might do this already but I think they could do more, this could be a big opportunity.

Great location! Very New England and the food is fantastic. The staff was very friendly and Covid aware (cleaning constantly and washing hands, maintaining social distance). I highly recommend it!
