Comfortable and complete library (wifi, lamp, PC use) but the environment is not good. A student from the IUAV made fun of me because I am of a lower social class. This university should give students a basic and advanced course on "how to respect people". To learn this it doesn't take a 30 or an 18 on the exam. It was a really sad episode.

There is no precise indication for the opening hours of the offices on the site and on the telephone of the offices no one answers systematically or is busy. How do you talk to your offices?

If you're an Architect, Arch Student or in the Arts- do yourself a favor and drop in. Its a nice reprieve from the bustle of Venice and you get to see what the young minds are currently working on in the city. Don't forget that all the greats have come through these doors to get their education - the likes of Le Corbusier, Louis Kahn, Frank Lloyd Wright, Carlo Scarpa and Ando to name a few!

Excellent place to visit. Away from usual tourist spot. The gate is relatively new designed by a renounced architect who was the Dean of school of architecture.
The old gate it preserved as a landscape feature. About 200 years back venician students and teachers of the university broke the old gate to reclaim the university from priests.
A wonderful architecture blended with old and new.
