Unlike Enterprise, they will not pick you up. We waited for them to pick us up and they never showed up. After getting ahold of them they said made a mistake and even though they confirmed the outing, it wasn't confirmed. They said they tried to call and contact us through the resort but we haven't had any phone problems and the resort knows nothing about this. Further, they didn't bother to email which is how we had communicated successful previously. They offered to rebook or refund. We elected the refund and were informed it would be 10-14 business days before they would receive it. Two to three weeks is unacceptable to refund money when the screw up was on the vendor.

We are currently staying at the Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay. We had booked the Duns River Catamaran Cruise. We tried to cancel the reservation more than 24 hours out to recieve 50% back on the tour, but do to the lack of personnel available and an early shut down time for the workers.....we reached out to the concierge to assist us. We were told that we would not get anything back. The Lady "Alicia" who we spoke with told us, well we weren't here when you tried to cancel and now we are hearing about this less than 24hours out so you "will not" get a refund and we "will not" put the money towards a different tour. The lady was not polite and recieve a very impolite response back from me. This company needs to provide personnel at their desk during the day long enough to allow for people to return from other tours "with their company" and cancel if they would like. The situation seems as though it is a way for them to make money on tourist. It is a fraud and I will not reccomend this company to friends that have vacations planned here in the future. We have booked at least $1,000 worth of tours with them during our stay and they are not willing to accommodate. "Terrible company, skeeming to fraud people and tourist out of money".

I booked this tour and the lady said the pick up spot was 2 blocks away and it s was almost a mile. After walking a mile we waited in the heat for 25 min. When I called she informed us our reservation was cancelled due to weather. I saw other catamarans leaving which is weird. How can you cancel reservations without informing the people who paid you? I hope we can get our money back but thanks for ruining our morning due to incompetency. I wouldn t book with this company nor will I ever come back to Jamaica. This place is beautiful but the people make it a horrible experience. I cannot wait to fly home tomorrow.

Stay away from Island Routes Exuma, Bahamas. Do not book with this company. They will not take you to the tour and they will keep your money.

I paid the them for a tour that we did not enjoy because they were not there to provide the tour.

I booked for my family the tour Exuma Swimming Pigs Adventure for 11/10/19.

The day of the tour we were at the meeting place at the lobby of Sandals Emerald Bay at 8:15 AM as it is indicated in the invoice.

We waited there for 1 hour. There was nobody from the company there to perform the tour or to give us any information.

The hotel reception personnel called the tour company and they told me over the phone that there will be no tour because the bad seas conditions and that the money charged will be refunded. They failed to refund the money paid.

Do not book with this company.

Catamaran cruise was tremendously overbooked and overcrowded. Unable to move about the boat to get drinks or food at all. Turned into a very overpriced boat ride. Will not book with them again .

A little overpriced for some of the tours but they have always been excellent, offer a good refund/exchange policy, and a variety of options for all tastes.

Terrible experience! They cancelled an excursion in Grenada and we were told by the tour desk refunds would be issued right away. It s been a month and calling every week being told it is processing and it never comes!!! The customer service is a nightmare.

This is the best party boat ever! I live in Miami and it definitely lives up to its name. You will not regret this tour if you want to have a great time. The crew is amazing! This is a very interactive tour. I highly recommend it.

We did the Mini Cooper tours from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios.. it was weird driving on the wrong side of the car at first but I quickly became used to it.

Our tour guide was Marlon.. he was wonderful. He made sure everyone safe and together. He explained everything we were doing. My wife and I felt very comfortable and had such a great time.
Marlon was the best!
I highly recommend giving this tour a shot.. you get a true jamican experience. Well worth it

Booked a round trip from montago bay to negril. Ride from montago bay was good and fine, however, when it was our departure day and time from negril to the airport on sunday 11:30am which was confirmed the after we arrived, no driver , no transportation and no one even answer the phone. This is horrible and unnecessary stress of not knowing what's going to happen and if your ride will on time to catch your flight back. Ended up calling another taxi just to make it to our flight and not waste waiting for the unknown with island route. Will never make this mistake again. Use amstar if u looking to book anything, excursions or transportation.

Tour guide lady tried to get over on us selling us a tour ride that stops at the same spot , on two different guides .. horrible customer service they just get over on you to take your money in Montego Bay at the Hyatt Zilara .. better to find a different guide

They have partnered with various companies that allow tourists to see the Islands and get memorable experiences.Have used Island Routes for adventures in Bahamas and Jamaica. Both countries were better because, I saw places that would not have been possible to coordinate on my own.

Some of the tours they offer are not in Montego Bay, but near Ocho Rios which is a fair distance away and would increase the price. Some tours are definitely overpriced. We went on the Mystic Mountain tour and it was not worth the money. You only get to go on the bobsled once for a couple minutes, then you have to pay more for subsequent rides (which the representative failed to mention when we were booking the tour). $130 US/person is alot of money for a ride to Mystic Mountain, a 15min chair lift up the mountain and a 2 minute ride on the bobsled. If you really want to go to Mystic Mountain, book it yourself and get a driver, you'll save yourself some money. Our Dunn's River Falls and Catamaran Snorkeling tour was cancelled due to poor weather, but for $120 is probably a better deal for what you would get from the tour. The staff at Island Routes are friendly, but I don't think they really understood what we were trying to do by booking our tours together. We were walk ins and I think they prefer to deal with people over the phone or through online booking. You could probably find a better tour company.

The MINI-routes Ocho Rios tour was awesome...... I enjoyed every minute of it. The pudding at the pudding stop was amazing. Definitely a must do tour when vacationing in Jamaica. I would do it all over again.

This rating is completely skewed by local guides and local businesses that get tourists through the company.

As tourists using services of the company we had a really bad experience.

First tour we booked with them was to Kingston. They sold us a guided tour of the Devon House on a Saturday when the Devon house was closed (which they didn't say even though we expressed that we specifically wanted to see it). We couldn't even see the grounds and only managed a peak thanks to our very awesome taxi driver.

We also booked through them a private boat tour to luminous lagoon. When we arrived, we were told that instead they booked us a private transfer to the lagoon and not a private boat tour. To take our tour we had to wait 30 minutes and then go on a boat with 40 other people. All fine, but we paid the price of a private tour. The people in charge of the local tours really tried to help with the situation, but everyone just left upset without seeing the luminous lagoon.

In both cases we had zero support from the Island Routes and were only helped by the locals. Which is disgusting: they will screw up your holiday and then leave you to deal with it completely alone.

Please check who your final tour operator is and if it is Island Carribbean tours, stay away. They do not deliver on their services which is very painful when you have worked hard towards and been looking forward to your holidays so much.

OMG the MINI Routes to Ocho Rios tour was amazing!! what better way to see the island than driving in such a cool car!!! My friends and I had so much fun, we ate to our hearts content at Miss T's Kitchen, loved the local cuisine and their presentation was on point! Our guide Marlon was amazing, funny dude, he kept us laughing. We had a great time at Dunn's River Falls and the experience we had while stopping at a local favorite, the Pudding Man was definitely one to remember. His puddings are so delicious and just seeing and learning about the traditional technique used to make the pudding, we definitely felt immersed in the culture. Love the MINI ROUTES EXPERIENCE!! MINI ROUTES TO NEGRIL IS ON THE BUCKET LIST FOR SURE!!

Woke up at 6 am and tour bus newer showed up in Jamaica Negril. Don't use them better choices aveable, private tour for less.

This was a GREAT tour!!! Our guides Tracy and Marlon lead us impeccably along the unfamiliar routes and to wonderful eateries. I've been driving for more than 30 yrs and this was the first time that I drove with the steering wheel on the right side of the car and the traffic on the left side of the road. It did take some getting used to, but with their expert guidance I quickly became comfortable. My wife and I followed their lead car while they communicated with us frequently on the walkie-talkie radio pointing out the different sites along the way. They made sure to warn us when the "CJs" were approaching at high rates of speed or trying to cut us off. The experience was absolutely amazing!!! (CJs: Crazy Jamaicans) LOL LOL.

On September 25th, 2019. My husband and I booked a catamaran trip from south coast sandals resort toPelican Bar! We left around 9:30am the clouds and storms we forming! We had a calm trip to the Pelican Bar, we left around 1:30pm. Started back on our 2.5 hour Journey back. The winds and storms were bad! Raining and 6 foot swells with white caps! I was out on the front with over 16 people. No crew was at the front and the captain did not stop the boat to get people off the front! I stated everyone, to get into the cabin. Get on your knees and crawl back to the steps! Everyone just looked at me. I proceeded as some others did! A couple on the stern side tried to stand up! The woman tried to grasp onto the rail but only a thin rope was there NOT A STEEL CABLE OR MESH! THE HIGH SEAS TOPPED HER OVER INTO THE SEA! Her husband dove after her! She went under the boat and she was hit by the moving boat and the propeller! She was severely cut . The captain panicked and the crew! Throwing round life lines out and the retrieving rope! It was pure panic on the boat! Thank God there were people on the boat that took over! A USA paramedic and nurse. The crew could not get the woman on boat that was unconscious! Ahuge young Scotsman pushed them aside a brought her in and her husband! The Captain was not trained nor were the crew in a emergency situation as this but all of this could of been avoided if the captain was in charge of his vessel!!! BE AWARE THERE IS NO COAST GUARD OR ANY MERRIWEATHER PROTOCOL IN JAMAICA! IT TOOK 2 HOURS TO GET HER TO SHORE ANOTHER 2 HOURS TO GET HER TO KINGSTON! THIS COMPANY HANDLES ALL OF THE OFF RESORT EXCURSIONS!!!!! REMEMBER YOU ARE IN A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY!!! MY HUSBAND AND I WAS WOKE COMPLETELY UP ON THIS TRIP! IF YOU DIVE NO Decompression chambers in Jamaica.

We booked the 1- Let s Go Native Negril Adventure
Was a waste of money honestly. The shopping was ridiculous! I was under the impression the shopping would be more local, not so much commercialized. We had 2 stops and 1 one(the tour guide did for a guest) which was awesome. We were told not to buy anything until we got to the shops because it would be a lot cheaper. WRONG!!! The first 2 made you think you were getting a great deal- Save 20% and Everything is 50% off They just marked their prices up!!! Even with the discount everything was still more than the resort. And items were basically the same as the resorts.
The time we spent at Ricks was 1.5 hrs, said you could snorkel however we were never offered that nor did I see snorkel gear anywhere.
I m giving it 2 stars because the tour guide was great!!!

Amazing experience is an understatement. The staff at island routes in Jamaica ensured that our tour was the most memorable ever. From snorkeling, to climbing the Dunn River Water Falls, the staff were super courteous, conscientious, and professional. The after party on the boat was the best EVER! They made my sister feel so special on her birthday! I wish I could give it 10 stars! Definitely a must try!

Although we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the transportation we purchased for round trip to our hotel and back was private, and that we didn't have to stop at a dozen hotels before being taken to our own, buyer beware that you will have no further contact with these individuals regarding your return transportation to the airport once you are dropped at your hotel. We were given a card with a pick up time and phone number on it when we were dropped off. However, we realized they had us scheduled entirely too early to be picked up for a 3:05 flight time, thus I attempted to call on two separate occasions. I left messages with return numbers and what I was calling about. I was charged for these calls by my hotel. I NEVER received a phone call back. Found this quite unprofessional.

Two words: Scam artists!! I did a tour with these scam artists whose sole purpose is apparently to rip people off. They did a 200% markup on a tour I did with them and when I confronted them they offered to give me $18 back out of $180. These people do not deserve to be in business and no hotel should have their good name tarnished by having them on their property. Their version of a tour is to drive you to the location and drive you back. Last time I checked that was taxi service. They did absolutely nothing beyond that!

Had a blast doing Island Routes Mini Cooper drive to Ocho Rios! Highly recommend! I thought we would have a guide sitting in car with us, but actually you get the car to yourself and you follow the group. The guides in front and back car were good about keeping the group together. We drove to Dunns River Falls, which was so fun. Also included was lunch at Miss T's local cuisine kitchen and a stop by the Pudding Man. It is a good distance drive but you get to see so much and at each stop, you learn a bit about the culture.

Awesome Time!
Just did the Catamaran Tour in Montego Bay. Was so much fun. There was dancing, drinks, snorkeling, slides, more drinks and more fun. Perfect for couples and groups. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Jamaica mon!

I decided to stay in an Airbnb, so I had to plan my adventure and this was a great place to start, the experience and the manager Felicia was very professional and customer Service oriented. The location is beautiful and I felt the prices were reasonable with a nice selection of tours.

They Don t let you choose your pick up time to leave your resort. If your flight is after 12p, you re forced to leave at 7a. Waste of a whole vacation morning on your last day.

Scammed us out of $500 kept claiming they would refund it and never did. We will never use them or sandals ever again!!!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! I booked a snorkel and lobster dinner tour in Grenada with Island Routes. On the day of the tour we waited in the lobby for the instructed pick up time of 8:40am. At 9am no one had come to pick us up and I called to find out the tour was cancelled. The man I spoke with said I should of been informed but must of been missed. He asked if I would like to try and join a tour later that day but would be an additional $90 usd per person. He was going to call me with an update on the alternative tour. Then he asked if I would like the $716 usd refunded to me. Well of course we were not able to go on the tour. No one called me back the rest of the day and we were not able to go on a snorkel tour during our vacation. The company was very unprofessional. I contacted them once returning home and the refund had not yet been ordered and would take an additional 14 days to be returned to my credit card. The couple we were traveling with had used Island Routes previously when traveling through Sandals but this ruined an entire day of our trip and we were unable to see the famous underwater statues in Grenada. Very disappointing and the company was not even sorry or apologize at all. I feel it was a bait and switch to gain $400 more dollars for a more expensive trip.

We were lucky enough to have Franco take us on a day trip to Negril.we stopped at Times Square to shop for souvenirs then off to margaritaville for some sun and cocktails on 7 mile beach and the last stop was Rick's Cafe to watch cliff divers .Franco told us about the places we passed including Jamaican Reindeer.lol.Anyway, a great driver and we had a lot of fun.Holly and Lance(Grand Palladium) Thks again .This is not fake

Poor communication. After booking this activity through Expedia there was no confirmation until I called the day of the activity and was told that the trip to luminous lagoon is cancelled as there was no other interested party to go. Could have emailed / called / notified us before so we had time to change out plans.

Had a BLAST on the Island Routes Dunn's River Catamaran Cruise! Snorkeled at a reef it was teaming with fish, then on to the Dunn's river falls the water was like crystal just amazing an d refreshing, cute little mini water park for kids at the top of the falls. It was absolutely amazing! Back on the Catamaran the bar was open so many great drinks the crew are party animals it was wild got on the roof of the boat partied back to the resort! Cant wait to do this again!

We did the Catamaran sunset cruise and it was a blast. Free food and mixed drinks, stopped at margaritaville, dance party with a DJ. They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Not really for kids. We went in September and wasn't as crowded.

What a fantastic experience with Island Routes! Sarah Belfrage and her team were extremely accommodating and professional. It was a rainy day and yet it was still a fantastic experience! The cars are SO nice and while we were a bit nervous in the beginning with driving on the other side of the road, we quickly got the hang of it. We stopped at an authentic Jerk Shop, a roadside Cold Beer and coconut) Shop called Megans (loved the owner!) Ricks Cafe for some serious cliff diving watching, lunch at Margaritaville and the Negril Lighthouse - our tour guides were SO knowledgeable (and patient with us as we stopped to take pics constantly!) Thanks to Jozu For Women for the connection & adding Island Routes as part of our #JozuNegrilVIP experience!

Sailed on the Catamaran to Dunn's River Falls. Snorkeling and after party on the boat. Unlimited drinks and food. It was an invaluable experience!!!! I absolutely recommend.

We booked a tour to chukka to ride ATV s from our Sandals resort. We spent a considerable amount of time talking with the agent prior to booking it and were assured lunch would be provided. When asked how far it was from the hotel she said 45 minutes. We unfortunately didn t think to ask how long we d have to wait to get back to our resort. They did pick us up on time but it took nearly an hour and a half to get to Chukka. Upon arrival, we went on a 1 hour ATV ride which was great but then were told we d have to wait nearly 2 hours before we d be taken back to the resort. We asked for a taxi and were told we d have to wait for them to have time to find one for us. 30 minutes later I asked someone else for a taxi and so they called and reported it would be $80 one way and would be an additional 20 minutes before they could arrive. We decided to wait and make the best of it. No lunch was provided as promised and when we attempted to eat at their restaurant, the first 4 items of the 6 offered were unavailable. There is nowhere to sit near the beach area which leaves you sitting in the restaurant area or up away from the beach. The ride home was an hour and 10 minutes, not teh 45 as promised. We immediately went to the desk to talk with the agent and when I told her it took nearly an hour and a half to get there she quickly said well didn t I tell you there were stops along the way? I responded yes, but that you said it was a 45 minute ride. She then said it was 45 plus the stops. She said that Chukka told her the times I gave her for when we started and ended the tour were incorrect but I have pictures on my cell phone both when we started and when we stopped that are time stamped. She also said she would never say lunch was provided even through we specifically asked based on the flyers. After coming back 5 times over two days because she was always waiting on answers from chukka we were finally told she couldn t do anything for us because they didn t do anything wrong. Thankfully Sandals discounted the rate for their markup and we did have a good time during the 1 hour ATV ride but when told it s a 45 minute ride each way, we would leave at 9:15 and be back at 2:30, I assumed the ride would be significatly longer. I would suggest a different operator.

Nice environment, friendly staff and an ideal place to work

I read reviews on this company before booking with them, so I felt good with the choice. I'm sure we would have had a good experience, if we were able to use them.
I booked with them for a tour, but when I emailed to confirm, they could not confirm us due to there not being any other groups booked except for us.
So we made the decision to cancel and go with a private transfer for our tour, to ensure that we would not miss the opportunity to go. KaceyAnn, the Island routes Representative that I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant and professional, my refund was processed in a timely manner.
I would recommend them, and if we were to book with them in the future, we will make sure to book a more popular tour so that we don't have to cancel.

We recently (last week) stayed at the Sandals South Coast in Jamaica. We booked two excursions (Wednesday and Friday) on the Island Routes catamaran. The catamaran did NOT leave the dock the entire week that we were there. The first excuse from their representative was that not enough people signed up for the cruise so it had to be cancelled. The second explanation for the cancellation on Wednesday was mechanical (mixed signals here) from the staff. The mechanical problem was the excuse for the cancellation on Friday. I pretty sure that Island Routes has more than one catamaran on Jamaica. It's a big island with seven Sandals resorts and other resorts as well. I find it hard to believe that the vessel couldn't be repaired in that amount of time. Island Routes should have at least sent another catamaran to relieve the vessel with whatever "issue" it was having. We didn't get to leave land the entire week that we were there. Management has some issues that need to be resolved and the staff at the resort were not friendly at all. Sandals resorts should consider partnering with another tour company.

OMG!!! We had a blast and the Captain and crew are professional and take care of their guest, but the encourage a good time to be had by all!! Awesome tour, i highly recommend and would do it again !
