Only for enthusiasts in a specific area. Those who would like to touch everything have no place in this school but anyway it's the same in the world of work ...

For programming the price is exaggerated for the material provided ... But the courses are dynamic and effective.

Excellent school for everything related to video games.

Graduated from one of Isart's first game design promo, I realized my dream: Working in video games in Japan. The outgoing students are also very popular with recruiters, we see the level rise each year.

Scandalous school. Bad principles. Too bad the potential is there.

Head teacher coming the night of a rush, alcoholic in the school, destabilized students, wobbly administration, incompetent teaching team, promise of internship (which you will eventually found yourself), the school provided pirated software to students and many more..

Given the response of the establishment, I feel obliged to answer it here, I was dismissed from the establishment because I was at the origin of a Facebook page named Spotted Isart that I did not manage, but they needed a head to turn. So the serious thing is to have been one of the people behind a Facebook page that I did not manage and who did anonymous publications about people from the school. You are not ashamed ..

If you have money to lose I recommend this school. Otherwise, go to another more serious school with real values.

Great school! Although the price is a deterrent at first, it is largely justified by quality education provided by pros in the sector! You will be entitled to a range of materials as diverse as possible, whether in decorations, character design, color or even 3D; and this to allow you to discover in which subjects you are most fulfilled, and this in a reassuring and friendly atmosphere!

Be careful, however, you will have to work regularly!

7,800 / year - 5 years - GAME ART for:
- No materials
- No software.
the Adobe subscription you pay it in addition to the price per year. (Yet before they provided us with cracked software and plugins).
Shame on a private school.
- 5 years the course. it would have been largely possible in 2 years (+ 1 year of preparation for those in need)
Especially since at the end of the year it's daycare, we don't do anything.
- Promotes Crunch
- Half of the teachers or speakers are very good the other half are not pedagogues or even humiliating towards certain students who just have difficulties. We learn + through the internet.
- Competition between students. Unhealthy atmosphere last year.
- Note of "behavior".

- I put 1 deserved star because there is a RE service, we can do an internship and work-study program (if you can find some on your side) and There are a few good speakers whom I thank.
I managed to find a job in a company but it was thanks to friends and the internet!
-> In short, public school is much better than that or learn on the web.

After the Bac I went to 3 different schools in Paris (including 2 in the JV), the comparison is simple, it is by far the best school and I highly recommend it: the team is competent and friendly, the locals are superb, I really had a great time doing the different projects and I got passionate about programming and Game Design there. I had a lot of work but above all I had a lot of fun and for that I thank them very much.

Hoping that my very complete opinion and objective...

Hoping that my very complete opinion and objectively related personal journey may interest some families / graduates.

Strongly interested in the Video Game and Art sector, I thought since college that I would get involved in a game design or animation school. I went to L, Plastic Arts heavy option (under application) in order to give me a kind of piston to enter the school I wanted. This year, I applied early, motivated to integrate an Art prep to move on to Game Art. At the same time, I applied to E-Artsup and was admitted there mid-year. I continued to work to enter Isart, knowing that they have set up a system of works to study, I studied everything ... I drew at least 8 hours a day in order to always fill my book more. I really wanted to have my chances and show quality. Students from Isart whom I know advised me on the subjects to be produced and shown during the interview (3D pieces, furniture, decorations, shadows, colors, anatomy, design chara ...) I even a little abandoned the tray, not having time for everything. I went to the JPOs, of course, which really strengthened my choice. Their shop window, what they show you, is a dream. We are necessarily won over, just with the prep. What we find at this school is a lot of work but pleasant work, design, play, our passion.

I came from Normandy to Paris to pass my interview, I missed my white bac for that (Competition period required). I had with me my grape pouch, only a hundred drawings only, of course ... different formats, lots of different subjects, all of these in 6 books. I am not exceptional in drawing, I am not one of those people who can be called geniuses. But in any case I'm doing well, I started to draw seriously in college, I touch as much 3D / modeling on software, as digital drawing, and manuscript. I also had a cover letter, banal I guess, with above my dreams, my passions, my expectations and my real projects (Going to work in Canada in Chara Design) not very exceptional, it is the dream of many people ! There was also my CV, and I'm not going to spit on it: it was beautiful. I had drawn everything, I took pleasure in it, the result was very clean, very garnished. I thought I would stand out from the crowd, having done guitar, circus, writing, experienced almost everything in drawing technique, modeling, photography, frame by frame animations ... and so on! I had also made, just for Isart, the start of a video game in C ++ with my boyfriend and my brother in programming. Having modeled the characters, colorization etc. I am NOT good at school, but in English, to locate myself, I am 18 on average. (Thank you childhood in video games: D) In the interview, we all went like in a factory, in a chain, quickly, moreover the wait was enormous. They barely listened to me speak, before I finished answering his questions he carried me over others because I drew his attention to a point he wanted to talk about (as a monologue) He did not watch all the books because of the weather, and didn't ask me any questions about the works I needed to study. Then English competition. Honestly, I said to myself "school has little respect for us" So I applied elsewhere, the same day, too disgusted with this little consideration, having worked for 2 years for Isart. There, my CV was very popular and I was given a positive answer to the interview itself, for them I had a clear profile. I was not refused at Isart, but put on a list of waiting. They have a huge demand.

More info: The RNCP is just level II, they see students in the middle (and it's expensive) many do not find jobs, check YOURSELF, beyond their brochure / JPO. However, they are the only ones to offer work-study programs.
But overall, private schools rarely have good returns if you dig.

I did 3 years in this school and horribly disappointed student loan of 10000th and in the end I almost learned everything with tutorials on the internet.
We are told the basics in 1st year and after nothing.
We are working on pirated software.
We pay to have a film at the end of the year or we correct more or less but no help.
Forced to fend for themselves to learn rendering techniques or others.
Some buddies did not even have the diploma just because their drawing level was low, but for the 3D one can do some great things even without being good at drawing, and after having worked for 3 years they deserved the diploma like the others.

All this to tell you do not go to this school, there are many others much better with partnerships for alternation, because at isart digital they do not help you to find a company no more.

Regarding Game Art training, I like it.

Regarding Game Art training, I like it.

"The atmosphere" (as some say) is there: in the classroom there is no negative competitiveness, we often draw in museums, we always meet on Friday evening to have a drink suddenly, we all pull up.

The teachers are incredible, they are always there to push us further, to support us. They have a lot of experience in the game, film, and often have careers that make you dream.
Sometimes they jostle us a bit, it's not always easy to cash in, but the progression is already noticeable since the Prepa Art.
They always answer our questions, and often work overtime. to support us in our personal projects: I am only grateful. I want to give myself completely and to surpass myself.

Of course, training costs money, finding internships is not always easy, but unfortunately today art schools work like that, if you want something quality.
Me this pace suits me.

My opinion is certainly not the most objective, nor the truest. It's totally personal and it only involves me.
In any case, come to the open house to discover our school and make your own opinion! This is the best I can advise you.

I am currently in the year of Prep and I would lik...

I am currently in the year of Prep and I would like to share my feeling.
For starters, excellent administration. Fully attentive to students, whether they have personal or professional problems, there is always someone to listen to them.
Let's talk about the teachers now! They are all real professionals and are, for the most part, very competent in teaching. I prefer to warn: the teachers are frank. And some comments can destabilize when you have just left high school and you are still a bit naive. However, none of these comments are intended to hurt the student, on the contrary, they are intended to make people understand where the errors are and to push the student to go further! The teachers are also very attentive to the difficulties encountered by each student.
The level is however very high. The average grade is 12, not 10, and to get there you have to work hard. It therefore requires willpower and rigor.
School is also expensive. A student loan can be interesting, if you are sufficiently organized you can also have a student job. However, the level you acquire after studying at Isart is well worth the cost of school.
Regarding the atmosphere, we are all passionate and no one is in competition. People are open-minded and really caring. The BDE is also efficient.
The new premises at Richard Lenoir are very pleasant. We are sometimes a little cramped however, the classes being sometimes a little too small.
If you have to take accommodation, I would advise you to look around Vincennes instead. Firstly because some courses are held in premises at Croix de chavaux in montreuil so you will not be far away. Then because the premises of richard lenoir are 30 min.

I tried to be a maximum objective, I hope that my opinion will allow the most undecided to decide!

I am currently in Prepa Art so I could only give my opinion on this first year of training. Isart is a very dynamic school which asks us to outdo ourselves to give the best of ourselves. So it's very positive for a higher school, you will be in optimal conditions to improve quickly.
Speakers (In knowledge I will only speak those for the Prepa) with an experience that makes you want to progress. For some they can be quite hard and frank but for me it is an additional motivation. They're not there to belittle you, but to show you that you can give more, they're there to believe in your potential. You will have to work seriously to feel comfortable but drawing is a passion that is clearly try hard or Die and retry so you must already be aware if you like drawing;).

The atmosphere is quite healthy and pleasant for you to forge a warm class by communicating and sharing your passion with the rest of the students. Anticipate some tensions anyway when the pressure will mount around the partial ect ... but overall you will have a lot of fun!

Isart is a school I recommend because you will meet great people there and you will be in an environment that will make you want to work. The teachers will listen to you and if you ask them for advice they will be there for you. These are fascinating people who work in places that make you dream!

The school is private and therefore paying, so you must be ready to pay or by organizing yourself with a student loan. It s really not easy and it s a little scary but it s worth it. Note that the Prepa classes are classified by age, so you do not have to come to Isart just after leaving high school. Personally I took a year between Isart and the terminal. It allowed me to take a step back, to pass my license before arriving in Paris and especially to work to pay me the first year rather than starting directly with a student loan. This is only my experience, but if it can direct some ... or even give ideas. It can be scary to leave the school system but if you have the motivation to prove that you are worth something and that you do not stop drawing there is no reason why you are not caught.

Also note that from the second year at Isart you will only be at Richard Lenoir so it's up to you! But Vincennes is relatively close is a little cheaper than the 11th :)

What more can I say except that if you have the motivation necessary for the passion to create, you are welcome to Isart!

Voluntary manipulation of teachers towards student...

Voluntary manipulation of teachers towards students.
Voluntary social division during the arrangement of classes (separated couples, friends separated voluntarily, with or without bad behavior).
No partnership that the school has sold on the site or at the open doors will be useful, you will seek an internship as an unpaid designer to be able to spend the year.
If you do not have the means do not count on weeks OFF to be able to work, without free internship you will not pass.
Participation of teachers in a social division, preferring to interact exclusively with certain students who are closer to them and leaving out pupils in difficulty.
Apparently a BDE exists.
Speakers underpaid and sometimes brighter than teachers.
The teachers are also recruited without skills, pistonnage, or former graduates and freshly become teachers without experience.
Isart DIGITAL is not a school but a business.
If you have late payment on a semester they refuse to give you your notes. Besides, we have the notes at the end of the semester (??)
Teachers contradictory, give instructions and in a final oral reproach the instructions that were followed, without questioning, because they are "Profs" (or boosted jsais not).
Toxic general mentality, the faculty maintains the culture of jealousy, expressly put forward certain pupils in front of others.
Worse still, some teachers take the worst jobs to post in front of everyone in bad example in a harmful way.
The material in class is failing, for the price we pay we have to fight to have a basket at the back of the class and the projectors do not work, the air conditioning also still has problems.
Favoritism and lack of professionalism, some teachers make fun of other students with students, serious.
Emotional blackmail, professor handling emotionally I mention "if I were your father, I would not have let you do that" or "if you leave school it's a suicide for your career".
Commercial will to keep students at all costs even those who do not have the level, but when a person has more money is left violently (I could see 4-5 cases of this kind during my schooling )
Voluntary Social Handling by Teachers: Speak to a student advising them not to stay with their friend, talk with the other student advising them to hang on to succeed.
I have forgotten a lot like the selective closing of eyes on plagiarism, between the "" "promo" major "" who are shifting their projects, others who have it done by third parties without sanctions.
Toxicity in students favoring friendship towards popularity due to teacher behavior.
Ignorance of teachers to students in difficulty, and if we force a little to shake them, agree with you and disappear again without helping you (moral difficulties, academic, financial ...)
ref, Isart DIGITAL is not a school, it is a sandbox filled with artists who need to fill their ego by being able to consider themselves a teacher and giving themselves the right to break novices and beginners who wish to learn .
No, it is not supposed to be blood and tears.
No, we do not recruit a young graduate to become a teacher in a graduate school.
No we do not pay its stakeholders.
And NO, we do not break the morale of students because we find it still fun after 40 years, move on.
Oh, and for the curious parents or future students, knowingly, the positive opinions are opinions written by students interested mainly by the good will of the teachers, I had put a also following an underlying demand of 'a teacher.

Marketing lie, especially not believe a word of what you are sold on open days. Here is my experience in the famous Game Design training to which many aspire: already you will pay 7000eu the year + 1000eu for a PC which will correspond to the criteria requested by the school + 25eu per month for the Adobe subscription. All year long you will work on pirated software or you will have to pay for it yourself, the teachers who are said to have experience in the world of video games have actually only an internship under their belt. To sum up, Game Design's internal teachers are former students who have not joined the video game industry circuit; during my year the educational head had done only a 6 month internship on Alendra Ledermann 3D and the other Game Design teacher had worked 1/2 year on a small mobile game. They do not know their lessons and are content to read slides inherited from competent former teachers I imagine. Unlike some rare quality speakers who currently have real experience (you will see very very few, they are underpaid it seems), your internal teachers need to feel powerful and will not hesitate to give you advice on subjects they do not control and beware of you if you do not follow them even if it means reducing the quality of your production. But hey, when they try to participate in projects or to give lessons it's still the best that can happen to you. Testimony of a colleague: during homework at school (i.e. during 3/4 of schooling) the teacher is only there to monitor and during this time he wanders on Facebook. Let us not forget the bogus stakeholders mandated to fill the gaps in the hours of lessons promised by the contract, the assessments which greatly lack professionalism (during our year we called that hell of the instructions, it was necessary to interpret the instructions at the level metaphysics or ask the professor who wrote them if he would interpret them for us), and the selection at the end of the year which is supposedly done on the note: in reality after the first year they will only keep 30 students out of 60 and will artificially lower the grade for those who are not "buddy buddies" with internal teachers. Like an idiot I worked every day until 2 am to get the grade for my second year and one of my colleagues lost his afternoons playing with the main teacher at Street Fighter IV after the Classes ; I let you guess who went to the next year.

A school with bad practices to flee absolutely, see to boycott for our young people, the industry and these few very competent stakeholders paid with the slingshot.

This school was selling dreams but in the end I was very disappointed, the teaching team left a lot to be desired. Some students have experienced harassment from teachers, public humiliation, it's shameful. In addition, the premises are small and not very clean, especially the Montreuil campus where students in preparatory class are crowded. The microwaves are dirty and poorly organized and there is no canteen, the meals offered in the food trucks are overpriced. Students in prep are poorly informed about their year. The learning methods are not always very educational for the students. On the other hand, the students are mostly very nice to each other, and some teachers and classes were interesting but in the minority. In short, it is a school to be avoided.
PS: The school does not issue any ECTS credits at the end of the year.

Before I start writing my opinion, I must say that I graduated from Game Design & Programming. Therefore, this opinion does not concern the school in a global way, but of this sector within Isart.
Isart is a very good springboard to the world of video game creation. All sectors of the industry are in the school and this allows to create in almost real-life video games, sometimes for several months, while being accompanied by the informed advice of teachers. And that's still a huge opportunity when you want to learn how to design JVs: Isart brings together these profiles with different technical baggage.

Excellent establishment.

Excellent establishment.
The pace is a little difficult but it is very formative. A quality teaching team always ready to support you. I can only advise this school for anyone with ambition to establish itself in the world of video games.

It's a bit pricey but you have to see it as an investment for the future.
