Review of Isart Digital

Hoping that my very complete opinion and objective...

Hoping that my very complete opinion and objectively related personal journey may interest some families / graduates.

Strongly interested in the Video Game and Art sector, I thought since college that I would get involved in a game design or animation school. I went to L, Plastic Arts heavy option (under application) in order to give me a kind of piston to enter the school I wanted. This year, I applied early, motivated to integrate an Art prep to move on to Game Art. At the same time, I applied to E-Artsup and was admitted there mid-year. I continued to work to enter Isart, knowing that they have set up a system of works to study, I studied everything ... I drew at least 8 hours a day in order to always fill my book more. I really wanted to have my chances and show quality. Students from Isart whom I know advised me on the subjects to be produced and shown during the interview (3D pieces, furniture, decorations, shadows, colors, anatomy, design chara ...) I even a little abandoned the tray, not having time for everything. I went to the JPOs, of course, which really strengthened my choice. Their shop window, what they show you, is a dream. We are necessarily won over, just with the prep. What we find at this school is a lot of work but pleasant work, design, play, our passion.

I came from Normandy to Paris to pass my interview, I missed my white bac for that (Competition period required). I had with me my grape pouch, only a hundred drawings only, of course ... different formats, lots of different subjects, all of these in 6 books. I am not exceptional in drawing, I am not one of those people who can be called geniuses. But in any case I'm doing well, I started to draw seriously in college, I touch as much 3D / modeling on software, as digital drawing, and manuscript. I also had a cover letter, banal I guess, with above my dreams, my passions, my expectations and my real projects (Going to work in Canada in Chara Design) not very exceptional, it is the dream of many people ! There was also my CV, and I'm not going to spit on it: it was beautiful. I had drawn everything, I took pleasure in it, the result was very clean, very garnished. I thought I would stand out from the crowd, having done guitar, circus, writing, experienced almost everything in drawing technique, modeling, photography, frame by frame animations ... and so on! I had also made, just for Isart, the start of a video game in C ++ with my boyfriend and my brother in programming. Having modeled the characters, colorization etc. I am NOT good at school, but in English, to locate myself, I am 18 on average. (Thank you childhood in video games: D) In the interview, we all went like in a factory, in a chain, quickly, moreover the wait was enormous. They barely listened to me speak, before I finished answering his questions he carried me over others because I drew his attention to a point he wanted to talk about (as a monologue) He did not watch all the books because of the weather, and didn't ask me any questions about the works I needed to study. Then English competition. Honestly, I said to myself "school has little respect for us" So I applied elsewhere, the same day, too disgusted with this little consideration, having worked for 2 years for Isart. There, my CV was very popular and I was given a positive answer to the interview itself, for them I had a clear profile. I was not refused at Isart, but put on a list of waiting. They have a huge demand.

More info: The RNCP is just level II, they see students in the middle (and it's expensive) many do not find jobs, check YOURSELF, beyond their brochure / JPO. However, they are the only ones to offer work-study programs.
But overall, private schools rarely have good returns if you dig.
