New server seemed a little unsure, but still, good food, good drinks I a lovely place.
Great local spot with a great beer selection and excellent food
Best pint of Guinness in the midwest - Awesome staff - food - locals and beer garden!!
Great staff, impressive beer selection, supports chicago breweries, and has amazing food!
Perfect as always. However they should designate a portion of the patio for smokers
Very specious. Service was great. Love the ambiance.
Super food, lovely pint and premises! Highly recommended!
Local favorite with great drinks, great food, & good atmosphere. Can get busy & loud on weekends, but there's lot of space & the outdoor patio is lovely. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
Just about the most cozy Irish joint in the western suburbs - hell, even in the City. The cottages out back reminded me of a public house in Westport where I spent a week one night!
Great patio area, tremendous service, and a menu with many options. Recommend rueben burger, lentil soup, and poutine. Desserts are huge and scrumptious.
Great food and awesome staff. Always have a great time here.
If you want a good description of this place listen to the song: An Irish Pub Song by The Rumjacks
Nice restaurant. Good size portions of the food. Waitresses are great. You can tell the locals love it.
Great place to meet friends and decompress a bit. Love this place, and wish it was in my neighborhood! Good is great, too.
This place is awesome the staff is always friendly and the service is always great! Every time I go here I have a good time. If you're looking for a place to get a drink and bite to eat this is the spot.
I dine in this lovely spot a lot! This is my favorite spot to pass a nice evening. I go to this spot regularly. The meals are very good, the crew is polite and the price is affordable. I like going in this place to have a rich meal.
Great food.... love the cabage and mash potatoes and huge yummy steak. Highly recommanded.
We are regulars, but last week we had a private party in the Cottage. The guests enjoyed it; it was the perfect size for a group of about 40. Food and service was great, as usual!
Ok, not the best service but the courtyard outside is very nice to sit in
Not a bad Irish pub. Their fried fish have a heavier batter than I prefer, so there are other pubs that I like better but they are farther away. So this one does the trick when I want to stay local.
Great server. Kitchen sort of messed up my order (asked for no carrots with my side but got carrots) but salad and burger were delicious. Everyone at my table thoroughly enjoyed dinner and the outside seating was perfect for an early summer night. Thanks guys!
NOT the place for fish n chips on a Monday. Sigh.....
Great place to host a party! We recently held a birthday party in the back cottage, and Stephanie was wonderful to work with in planning the event. All of our guests had a nice time, the food was really good, and the birthday girl was very happy. Thanks, Irish Times!
Had an event at Irish Times. The staff was great always there when you needed them. The food was wonderful. Just a fun place to go.
We keep coming back here for the stew, but really everything is great. Staff is friendly, everything we had tried is delicious, and there is a large patio out back with heaters and a tent (maybe only when they're expecting a crowd).
Do not go on a Monday night, it is Five dollar burger night. The place is packed and it can take up to a hour and half for a burger, salad and 2 kids hotdogs to reach your table. Like this place but stay clear on a Monday!
Great service, good food, good music, nice patio... Overall a cool place
It's a quaint neighborhood icon now. It's also my favorite place for shepherd's pie and other traditional Irish fare.
Great food & amazing atmosphere. I will come back again for sure!
Food was amazing but the service is a bit slow. Would definitely come back again and give it another shot, just for the food.
We had our party in the cottage, and David was our bartender. He made our night so fun! 100 stars for David
very cool place! drinks were surprisingly very cheap!
This place has the best service, very delicious food and friendly environment.
Probably the best out of all Brookfield's other 500 bars. And that's not saying much.
My favorite Irish pub in the Chicago area. Warm and cozy with a wonderful beer selection. Food is great. I like the corned beef sliders. All the poutines are good too
Excellent food, beer, service. In nice weather the beer garden is the place to be. I especially like the grilled chicken sandwich.
Excellent food ,drinks, cozy cottage & fabulous service.
One of our favorite places in the area to spread out and dine on fish and chips and burgers. House wines are limited but not bad. Hang out by the fireplace and enjoy.
Good food, it was very busy. . Service was good. The food was good and I would recommend going there.
Warm and cozy traditional Irish pub. Come in for a Guinness and beef stew by the fire!
Live music, reasonable drink prices. Great Stop for Irish pub experiences.
Good chill place. Nothing memorable. Went there by myself. Food was a bit too salty.
Really good corned beef and fish and chips, nice outdoor seating!
Very good bar & restaurant.
We enjoyed every dishes we ordered. Wonderful beer menu from all around the US included local breweries.
Thank you very much.
The French guys
The food, the atmosphere and the service were great. My wife ordered the loaded fries, which are fries (or as some of us call them, chips) loaded with corned beef and topped with a sunny side up egg. She LOVED it. I enjoyed a pear cider, chicken pot pie, and we both had dessert (my wife had bread pudding, I had what they call "fritters"). The only thing I would recommend is since they expanded their dining area, they could add more toilets for customer convenience.
great food, beer, and service! just rented out the cottage room for a graduation party and the whole experience surpassed my expectations! very impressed with everything would highly recommend
Best draft Guinness!! Delicious food - I d highlight reuben, Guinness beef stew, steak tacos, corned beef bites! They have a spacious patio (closed out with a heated tent now during the pandemic winter). Interior looks very special and authentic to Irish pub and Irish culture. And staff is just the best, always striving to provide the best service!
The best place you can go to great food great bar great place to kick back and have a good time!!!!
Great place to bring your kids apparently. I've been to bars before and I've seen some kids at a restaurant / bar but never really a small Irish bar that has typical bar food quite like I did here. Maybe I didn't explore the space much and there is a whole restaurant side? I don't know. I do know the kids were very well behaved and their parents seemed to be enjoying their beverages. Just seems like a bad idea to bring your 2 - 5 year old to a bar. No judgement, I mean, kids are such a burden and leaches really but I don't know if a bar is the best spot for a kid. I guess if you are going to bring your kid to a bar, bring them here because they'll have plenty of peers to play with. This was my first time here and I'm basing all of this kid stuff on that one time being there. Maybe there's a kid free night? Maybe I went on a kid's eat free night? I don't know what happened on that particular day at that particular time but there was a bunch of kids in the bar and I found it slightly inappropriate and that is on the parents, not the bar. The bar is welcoming and great and its nothing against the bar, at all. I mean, what are you going to do? Ban all kids from the bar? Can you do that? I mean, I guess you could? Its pretty uppity over there though so maybe people would start giving the bar bad reviews and what not because of their no kid policy. The black and tan I had was made perfectly.
Wow..Best Irish food I've had long time
Great back yard feel...old time pub
Cozy and homey, with the perfect comfort food a pint on a cold, winter day.
Classic Irish food with multiple bars. There is typically a wait here so don't go on a alweekend if you are in a hurry
Great authentic Irish food. Very cool and authentic pub feel. This place is a must visit in Brookfield for a pint of Guinness and some Fish and Chips.
Guinness on tap sums it up. Plus home made specials fish fry are nicely done
Shepherd's pie was ok served in a large bowl. Nice beer selection. Our table was located in a noisy room, a group of people were extra loud, around 6pm on a Sat. The walls were all hard surfaces so it bounced around. Will try again.
Only had two Bud Light. Was a Class Reunion get-together.
They always have a wonderful selection of seasonal dishes that are very delicious. The servers and owner are what really make this place shine.
We wanted a place outside the city, and close to the zoo. Irish times hits both of those key points, while having fairly easy access to the highway.
Wait time was great, even while incredibly busy, we had a table within ten minutes of our arrival. The menu was fantastic, offering plenty of options for dinner.
Only (VERY minor) complaint, is a lack of a listed (non alc) drink menu. The beer wine and mixed list was substantial and seemed very detailed. The appetizer portions were generous, and our meals portions were also large. Ordered the shepherd's pie, which easily could have served both of us, and my most common complaint about this item is usually it being too salty. Irish times nailed the seasoning perfectly, and it was very filling as well.
Atmosphere was great, music was JUST loud enough to be heard without impacting conversation, and it seemed like everyone working was personable. Pricing was beyond reasonable considering the amount of food that came with each order.
Servers were fantastic, always checking in, and we felt well taken care of.
Overall, we both agreed we'd be back to make our way through the menu in the future as well. Perfect finish to our night checking out the Brookfield zoo lights!
Great service. Huge portions. Good place to meet and actually have a conversation.
